Frame for bicycles with mirror-image, pressed sheets. The invention relates to a frame for bicycles with mirror-inverted, pressed metal sheets and a main part extending from the pedal crank hub for holding the saddle. According to the invention, the middle third of the main part is followed by a connecting part carrying the fork bearing.
The drawing shows four exemplary embodiments of the invention, namely FIGS. 1, 2 and 3 show different bicycle shapes, while FIG. 4 shows a shape which is used in particular with a bicycle auxiliary motor.
In FIG. 1, the main frame part is denoted by 1 which, as its center line shows, runs from the saddle posture 2 to the crank hub 3. In the middle third, the main part is followed by the connecting part 4, which carries the bearing 5 for the bicycle fork at the front. The part 4 is slightly curved downwards from the front to the rear. Its width is at the front equal to the length of the fork bearing 5 and tapers towards the rear. The connecting part 4 meets the main part 1 perpendicularly.
In the vicinity of the fork bearing 5, the lower boundary line 6 meets the axis of the fork bearing approximately horizontally, while the upper boundary line 7 runs in an angular space between a horizontal line - see dash-dotted line 8 - and a line 9 perpendicular to the fork axis, which are drawn at the intersection of line 7 with the fork axis. It is useful that the upper boundary line 7 runs completely in this angular space. The same applies to the lower limit line 6, with the apex of their angular space at their intersection with the fork axis. This shape creates an advantageously large amount of space between the frame and the front wheel or
Create mudguards and at the same time offer favorable conditions for getting on the bike. The rear axle 10 is carried by a fork-shaped frame part 11 which runs in the same direction as the connecting part 4 lying in front of it.
In the example of FIG. the connecting part 15 meets the axis 16 of the frame main part also about. in the middle between saddle posture 17 and crank hub 18. It is also curved slightly downwards from front to back. Its width, which corresponds to the length of the fork bearing 18 at the front, tapers towards the rear. The boundary lines 19 and 20 of the connecting part 15 take a direction from the fork bearing 18 which lies between the horizontal 21st and the perpendicular 22 to the axis 23 of the fork bearing 18, namely the upper boundary line 19 runs almost perpendicular to the fork axis 18, while the lower boundary line 20 is approaching the horizontal.
The connecting part 15 merges downward with an arc 24 to the crank hub 18 in the main frame part. The rear axle? 5 is carried by a fork-shaped frame part 26, which from the crank bearing 18 easily. increases and looks too much tapered backwards. The embodiment according to FIG. 3 does not differ significantly in its front part from that according to FIG. 2. However, here the rear axle 30 is supported by two gabelför shaped frame parts 31 and 32.
The frame part 31 appears as a continuation of the front connecting part 33, in particular the upper boundary line 34 forms a continuation of the upper boundary line 35 of the front connecting part 33. The fork-shaped frame part 32 runs fully the crank hub 36 from approximately in the horizontal direction to the rear and connects in the area of the rear axle 30 with the frame part 31. In this exemplary embodiment, too, the frame parts 31 and 32 supporting the rear axle taper towards the rear.
The embodiment of FIG. 4 corresponds largely to that of FIG. 3, but a fuel tank 41 is installed in the front connecting part 40 of the frame, which is accessible through an opening with Ver 42 circuit. It is also possible to design the connecting part 40 itself as a fuel tank. Above the axis 43 of the rear wheels, the fork-shaped frame 44 has a curved boundary line 45 which corresponds to the shape of the housing 46 of a built-in auxiliary motor. 47 is the cylinder of this engine and 48 is its exhaust.
It is known to sammenzusehweissen or braze frames for bicycles from two mirror-inverted pressed parts. The frames produced up to now in this way essentially follow the usual frame shape of men's bicycles, in which the crank hub, fork bearing and saddle holder are connected to one another by three frame parts forming a triangle. Another known frame shape of this type differs here from the fact that the connecting part between the fork bearing and saddle mounting is omitted, so that the resulting bike is more like a women's bike.
Another known frame connects only fork bearings, crank hub and rear axle bearings by a single continuous frame piece bent in the area of the crank hub, the saddle being arranged on a long leaf spring which is attached to the frame near the fork bearing.
However, these frames, which deviate completely from the usual shape, are unsatisfactory for various reasons, which is why they have been practically not implemented at all. In contrast, the frames shown offer advantages both in terms of production technology and in use.
