C C Aus Leiehtnieta,1.1 hergestellte Meinbranen zeigen gute akListisehe Eigensehaften, da# gegen ungenügende mechanische Festigkeit.

Diaphragm for electroacoustic transducers. In the electroacoustic transducers of more recent construction, the al -, - tistiseh effective part, which receives or radiates the S, echo waves, consists of one of the electro-mechanical part. the transducer separated Aleilibraii, which can be designed as a flat surface or a cone. The membrane is advantageously clamped elastically along its edge in the housing of the transducer and is coupled in a suitable manner to the eil.ektro- nieehaniseben system.
In order to avoid disruptive subdivisions of the membrane into different oscillation zones and thereby the excitation of higher order natural oscillations of the membrane, the restraint of the membrane should be as soft as possible, the acoustically effective part of it, however be as steep as possible, which means that the choice of material and the shape of the membrane are strongly bound.
In order to achieve a good efficiency and a wide transmission frequency of the electroacoustic transducer, the weight of the diaphragm must be kept as small as possible while at the same time taking into account the necessary rigidity.
C C Meinbranen made from Leichtnieta, 1.1 show good actual properties, since they offer insufficient mechanical strength.
By compressing the air column present between the outer surface of the membrane and the housing of the transducer, for example by touching the flat surface against the through openings CC of the housing, the membrane can suffer permanent deformation , which greatly reduces the transmission quality.
The present invention aims at eliminating the sewing parts mentioned and concerns a membrane for electroacoustic transducers, which is characterized in that it consists of a fabric impregnated with a plastic material and hardened.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown. It shows: FIG. 1 an a-, ial section through a telephone receiver capsule, fin-. 2 shows an axial section through part of the membrane, FIG. 3 shows a plan view of part of the membrane.
The membrane shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 has a conical, acoustically effective part 10, on which a circular rim 11 corrugated in the radial direction can be seen / B> adjoins, the outermost extent of which according to Fig-. 1 for clamping the membrane. at l'-I in the housing of the electroacoustic transducer.
In the center of the cone 10 there is a hole 13, with the help of which the membrane using a beam 14 according to FIG. 1 with the electromechanical one System 15, 16 of the transducer is coupled .. , zn the acoustic. The effective part 10 has, in order to increase the rigidity and mechanical strength, a greater material thickness than the corrugated edge 1-1.
The membrane is made from several layers of fabric, which are pressed into the form described and shown, soaked with a plastic compound and hardened.
The conical part 10 of the conical part of the membrane consists of several layers of fabric laid on top of one another, while at the edge of the membrane one or at most two layers of fabric are fleece on top of one another. In a two-way fashion, the layers of fabric placed one on top of the other are rotated against each other so that
that the thread lines of the adjacent layers are very close to one another, preferably under one. Angles of about 450. By soaking with the synthetic material, the different layers are connected to one another to form a whole, whereby the fabric fibers act like a reinforcement of the molded synthetic material and give it great mechanical strength and toughness.
The plastic compound itself can be hardened close to the shaping of the membrane and gives the membrane the required rigidity, and is nevertheless very light. In the acoustically effective part 10 , the enlargement, the material thickness and thus the rigidity can also be achieved by applying a large amount of the plastic compound.
Through experiments by Jiess you can see that the membrane described has good active properties, in particular a low natural frequency, and has significantly higher strength than Leight .
Overlaying membranes which are pressed from pure plastic masses, there is the advantage that the fabric inlays enable a reduction in the membrane weight despite the very good rigidity of the acoustically effective part.
