Fig. 8 zeigt schematisch eine Vorrichtung, bei welcher ein einzelner Rotor 11, 25 mit zwei drehbaren Seheiben<I>17, 17x</I> zusammenwirkt, die diametral einander gegenüberliegend an geordnet sind.
Rotary machine for a flowing working medium. The present invention is a rotary machine for a flowing working medium which, for. B. a liquid pump, a compressor, a blower, a Va kuumpumpe or a h @ -draulic motor can be.
The machine according to the invention has at least one rotor which is rotatable in a housing and has at least one worm rib which is wound around the rotor axis with a constantly changing I \ in relation to this axis of rotation and the is in engagement with slots which are arranged at equal angular intervals on the circumference of at least one rotatable disc, in such a way that parts of this disc protrude between the slots in the spaces formed between the threads of the worm rib in order to separate them from one another .
The generatrix of the rib support is curved so that the disc circumference rotates tightly against the rib support, with a housing part being designed to fit closely to the free edge of the worm rib and thereby having a curved generatrix in order to create a between itself and the rib support To form working space for the worm rib. The height of the worm rib changes steadily along its length, and it engages in the slits in the disc in a changing depth.
In one embodiment, the working space of the tendon rib over it. Length has a constant cross-section, despite the curved shape of the generatrix of the rib support, the height of the rib decreasing from its center towards the ends' <B> - </B>. This training can e.g. B. be applied to devices with. on nearly incompressible liquids, e.g. B. water, oil or molasses, or even work with solid or semi-solid materials, such as. B. thickening or cement milk.
The working space of the worm rib can also either have a continuously increasing or decreasing cross section from one end to the other, the height of the rib increasing steadily from one end to the other, or it can initially. a decreasing cross-section from one end and then towards the other end an increasing cross-section to be seen before, the height of the rib increasing steadily from its center towards the ends. Part of the working space can also have a constant cross-section. Such devices are e.g. B. in connection with compressible media as Kom compressors, fans and the like usable bar.
When applying the invention to Pum pen and engines with liquid. Working medium can, if the nature of the liquid allows it, certain interacting parts made of rubber or have a rubber coating, also made of synthetic rubber or similar elastic material, to interact with other parts made of practically inelastic material. Accordingly, z. B. the housing and / or the disc made of rubber or with rubber pulled over and with a practically un elastic material, for. B.: Metal, existing worm rib work together.
Or the entire rotor or its worm rib can consist of rubber or be coated with rubber or similar material to interact with a housing and a disc made of an inelastic material. As far as the disk is concerned, it may be sufficient to cover the circumference of the same, which interacts with the rotor, or the circumference and the edges of the slots with rubber or similar material.
This elastic material should be with. Rüek- can be selected on the nature of the liquid that is used as the working medium of the Ptunpe or the motor, so that the liquid does not attack the material, because it serves as a lubricant between the parts made of such material and those made of inelastic material len.
Said worm rib is expediently designed as a band and at least approximately of a thread depth and shape that corresponds to the shape of the slots in the Seheibe, so that the latter are almost completely filled in operation through the cross-section of the Selineek rib.
The inclination of the worm rib must change continuously with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor, so that a smooth engagement of the worm rib in .die slits of the disk is possible. For example, in the case of a symmetrical, sleeve-like rib support, the diameter of which is smaller in its longitudinal axis and increasing evenly towards both ends, the worm rib in its longitudinal center becomes perpendicular to the rotor core if the slots in the disk are directed radially protrude from the outside and from there show a steadily increasing incline towards a plane,
the perpendicular. to the axis of rotation of the rotor ..
The seat braid of the disc can see from the circumference of the disc radially inward he stretch or they can be arranged inclined at an angle to the Radialriehtung, the inclination of the worm rib is provided accordingly.
The angle of inclination of the worm rib, measured in relation to the surface of the Rip penträgers, must be equal to the points along the arc of a circle in the disk plane, the center of which lies on the axis of rotation of the Seheile. As a result, the change in inclination of the tendon rib with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor will depend on the diameter of the disc and the direction of its rotation axis with respect to the axis of rotation of the rotor.
In most cases it will be expedient to arrange the disk in a plane containing the axis of rotation of the rotor so that it can be rotated about an axis perpendicular to this axis, the worm rib in each case at all points lying in the disk plane passing through the rotor axis, includes a constant angle, expediently of 90 with that associated tangent to the surface of the ribs support, which lies in said plane. The axis of rotation of the disk could, by itself, also look upwind from the rotor axis.
The rib carrier can be sleeve-shaped with an increasing diameter towards its ends, or it can be formed from one end to the other with an increasing diameter, while in a third embodiment the rib carrier is formed as a shell. can be.
which has an annular recess of circular cross-section finitely a spiral-shaped worm rib, which extends from the inner edge of the recess around the same to the periphery.
A housing, in which the disc is housed rotatably, can be attached to the rotor housing, the disc being mounted on opposing walls of an axial groove arranged in the rotor housing. Further, the rotor may have one or more worm ribs, and the minimum number of turns of each screw rib necessary for effective operation may depend on the number of screw ribs used.
The rotor can also have one or more slotted disks. work together. If two or more f,; y slotted disks are used, then they are expediently arranged at equal angular intervals around the rotor. It can be seen that the number of revolutions of the tendon rib or worm rib, which is necessary for effective work, also depends on the number of arranged disks.
For a rotor that has a certain number of worm ribs and works with a certain number of disks, the following equation can be used to determine the minimum number of turns of the individual ribs:

7: It is important to note that the equation given for the minimum number of passages is theoretical, and in practice it will be useful to make the number of passages greater than according to the above formula.
The invention can be of particular importance in connection with pumps for highly icy liquids, e.g. B. oils and molasses, or for liquid-containing solids, such. B. Thickenings from the sugar industry or magma in the plastic industry. The invention can of course also be applied to pumps using water, low viscosity oils or other liquids. The invention is also applicable to power engines, e.g.
B. on hydraulic motors, rotary combustion engines and gas turbines. When the invention is applied to a rotary internal combustion engine, the combustion air can initially be compressed and the combustion products can later be expanded in one and the same working space by means of the same rotor,
whereby the cross-section between Eippenträgi- and housing can initially steadily decrease and increase steadily after the combustion zone. The combustion zone can have a constant cross section. Such an internal combustion engine can have a sleeve-like rib carrier, the cross-section of which increases steadily from the longitudinal center towards the two ends and can work with one third to one half of the circumference of the slotted disc or discs.
A longer rib support can also be provided, the middle part of which has a relatively small diameter and the ends of which have a larger diameter, each end with. its own worm rib is provided, each with its own disk in a handle. In this case, the combustion can take place in a space between the inner ends of the screw ribs. One of the screw ribs can serve to compress the combustion air and the other screw rib can serve to expand the combustion products.
The invention can also be applied to a steam-powered engine in which the expansion of the steam can take place in a working chamber of increasing cross-section. When applying the invention to steam or internal combustion engines or to engines that can be driven with dirty air or another gas or gases, the device according to the invention can be provided with several turbine shell rings, which are attached to the.
Ribs carrier, can be arranged at the end or at a distance from the end of a worm rib in a work space. can be effective sam of increasing cross-section towards the outlet.
The subject matter of the invention is to be explained in more detail, for example, with the aid of the accompanying drawing; It shows: FIG. 1 a side view with a partial section through a device with a. Multi-stage system, in the example according to FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, a shaft 10 carries a rotor 11, 25. The shaft is rotatably supported by means of bearings 13, 1-1 in the housing and sealed by means of a stuffing box 15 at the point at which it protrudes from the housing 12. In a lower housing 16 a rotatable Seheibe 17 is arranged, which is rotatable about a pin 18, which connects from the housing 12 parking trays 19.
An inlet line 20 is. with an inlet chamber 21 and an outlet pipe 22 is connected to an outlet chamber 23. The chamber 2-1, in which the rotor 11, 25 is rotatable, connects the chambers 21 and 23. The rotor core 11 is generally in the form of a sleeve. a concave outer surface that fits tightly around the circumference of the disc <B> 1.7 </B>.
A helical rib 25, carried by the core 11, of continuously variable inclination towards the Rotoraclise, extends around the axis of rotation of the rotor 11, 25 and engages with slots 26 which are grooved around the disk at equal angular intervals and more or less ra dial 17 are arranged on the circumference. The radial depth of the slots is more or less equal to the maximum, continuously changing height of the rib 25, which engages in changing depths in the slots of the disc.
Parts of the rotatable disk between the slots run into the spaces formed between the turns of the worm rib 2'_) in order to separate them from one another. The inner surface <B> '27 </B> of the housing, which delimits the chamber 24, is not straight in the longitudinal direction, but rather curved in such a way that it coincides with the concave envelope of the rotor, so that a flow path with constant Cross section is formed from one end of the rotor to the other. The lower part of this inner surface is indicated by the dashed line 28.
In the example according to Fig. 1-3, the rotor 11, 25 consists of a practically inelastic material such. B. metal, while the housing 12 forming the chamber 24 with an elastic material, for. B. rubber, can be designed, this material is chosen so that the working fluid cannot attack it, and expediently so that the fluid acts as a lubricant. Such an elastic lining is shown schematically in Vig. 1-3 at 29.
In the example according to Pig. 1-3, the rotor has a tendon corrugation and a disc designed to interact with this, which is based on the formula mentioned above:
EMI0005.0007
It should be noted that two passages of the tendon rib in the example shown. represented. are.
When operating as a pump z. B. the shaft 10 is driven counterclockwise (as seen in FIG. 3) and the liquid is conveyed from the inlet chamber 21 into the outlet chamber 23. The sealing members 30, 31 serve more or less to isolate the space 32 inside the lower housing 16 from the inlet or outlet chamber. It should be noted that the system is reversible, that is, the shaft 10 can be driven clockwise (FIG. 3) and the liquid can be conveyed from the chamber 23 into the chamber 21.
Furthermore, the Einriehtung can be used as a motor when liquid is supplied under pressure to either the chamber 21 or 23, whereby the shaft 10 is set in rotation ver.
The device according to FIG. 4 has a working space, the cross-section of which changes continuously from one end of the rotor to the learning. The rotor 11, 25 is attached to a shaft 10 which is rotatable in bearings 13. The worm rib 25 of the rotor 11 , 25 engages in slots 26 which are arranged radially on the circumference of the rotatable disk 17 at the same Winkelabstän.
The outer surface of the rotor core 11 is concave and has the same curvature as the circumference of the rotatable disk 17. The example shown shows that the rotor core is in contact with the rotatable disk over at least a quarter of the circumference of the disk. The working space of the screw rib changes steadily from one end to the other, whereby it is larger in the inlet chamber 21 than in the outlet chamber 23.
The inner surface 27 of the housing bounding the chamber 24 is. in their shape. Corresponding to the sheathing of the worm rib, which protrudes from the rotor core by a constantly changing amount and engages in the disk slots at changing depths. The housing is expanded at 36 near the smaller diameter end of the rotor and is such. shaped that it in conjunction with the approach -I7, which is on the relevant.
End of the shaft 10 is arranged, forms a passage of approximately constant cross-section, for the passage from the chamber 2-1 into the chamber 23. The device according to FIG. 4 can be used as a compressor by the shaft 10 ent is driven speaking so that it rotates clockwise (seen from the right end in Fig. -1).
The medium to be compressed is fed from the chamber 21 to the chamber 2-1 of the chamber 23. Furthermore, the device can be used as an expansion machine, the medium in question being fed under pressure to the chamber 23, which can pass through the chamber 21 into the chamber 21. When flowing through, the medium will expand and can do work while rotating the rotor, with 10 power can be removed from the shaft.
Fig. 5 shows a partially iron section. an internal combustion engine with a gas turbine. The rotor core 11 of the general sleeve shape sits on a shaft 10 which is rotatable in bearings 13 in a housing 12. The surface of the rotor core is concave and follows the circumference of the rotatable disk 17. In this example, the surface of the rotor core is significantly more than a quarter, almost. half of the circumference of the disc 17 in contact.
The worm rib 25, which protrudes from the rotor core, is constantly changing height and with the arranged in the disc 17 slots 26 in varying depths. The inner surface 27 of the Ge housing conforms to: the envelope of the worm rib 25 is formed.
The rotor 11, 25 and the inner wall of the housing are shaped and proportioned in relation to one another that the working space is steadily reduced from the rotor ends to the center of the rotor. As a result, its cross-section at the inlet chamber 21 is considerably larger than in the central zone of the rotor, and a medium flowing in from the chamber 21 is initially compressed towards the central zone of the rotor and then expanded in the chamber 24.
Fuel injection means 39, as shown by dashed lines in Fig. 5, may be provided in the central zone of the rotor in the housing. In loading with rotating shaft 10 is working medium, z. B. air, sucked into the inlet chamber 21 and flows through the central zone of the rotor, where a certain amount of fuel, z. B. hydrocarbon oil, is injected. After the explosion or combustion, the gases flow outwards towards the outlet chamber 23 and drive the rotor 11 while they expand. The developed mechanical power is transferred to the shaft 10. In addition, several sets of blades v are arranged on the rotor, e.g. B.
Vanes 48 near the inlet chamber and vanes 49 and 50 near the outlet chamber. These shovels help. in the housing on ordered fixed guide vanes together, the inlet vanes 48 with. Guide vanes 51 and the outlet vanes 49 and 50 with. Guide vanes 52.
6-17 schematically show some further embodiments of the subject invention.
6 shows schematically the simplest form of the device, the rotor 11, 25 fastened on the shaft 10 having a worm rib 25 with two turns. The rib 25 cooperates with a rotatable disk 17.
7 shows schematically how the device can be driven or driven via a corresponding belt pulley 33 on a shaft 34 on which a rotatable disk 17 sits as a modified form of the driving or driving connection of the device by means of the shaft 10.
Fig. 8 shows schematically a device in which a single rotor 11, 25 cooperates with two rotatable Seheiben <I> 17, 17x </I>, which are arranged diametrically opposite one another. In this example, the rotor core 11 carries a worm rib 25, the 11i. Has whorls because:
EMI0006.0032
Fig. 9 shows schematically an end view in partial section of the device of FIG. 8, the relative arrangement of the Ro tor 11, 25 and the rotatable discs 1.7, 17a can be seen.
10 and 11 show schematically in an end view and partial section the position of the disks in relation to FIG. Rotor from Beispie len that have three or four rotatable disks 17 to 17b or 17 to 17e.
It can also be seen that if there are a plurality of disks, these are arranged at the same angular intervals around the rotor, but it should be noted that this is useful but not necessary. and the invention is in no way bound to any such arrangement.
Fig. 13 shows a further embodiment, for example, in which the core 11 of the rotor carries two worm ribs 25 and 27a and the rotor cooperates with a rotatable disk 17. It can be seen that each worm rib has 11.2 turns and that this number is in accordance with the formula mentioned above, since:
EMI0007.0001
Fig. 13 shows schematically a device Vorrich which is mainly for practically incompressible liquids such as water, oils or molasses, or for solid or semi-solid materials such. B. thickenings or cement milk, the cross section of the flow path through the working space of the screw rib is approximately constant.
Around the shaft 10 on opposite ends of the rotor core 11 are more or less frustoconical elements 35, 35a, which are true to interact with he extended zones 36, 36a of the housing 12, such that the flow path is more or less constant Has cross section. The inner surface 27 of the housing immediately surrounding the rotor 11, 25 is curved in accordance with the concave surface of the sleeve-shaped rotor core 11, which, as described above, is in turn shaped in accordance with the circumference of the rotatable disk 17.
FIG. 14 shows a further embodiment example in the form of an internal combustion engine, which partially corresponds to the example shown in FIG. While, according to FIG. 5, the rotor 11, 25 is intended to interact with a rotatable disk 17, the rotor according to FIG. 14 is intended to interact with two rotatable disks 17, 17d of various diameters. The disks 1.7 and 17d lie together with the rotor axis in the same plane and are arranged next to one another along the rotor axis.
It can be seen that when flowing through from the chamber 21 into the chamber 23 (the fluid is initially compressed towards the central zone 40, fuel being injected by means of an injector 39, after which the combustion gases expand slightly before they are again slightly compressed and They are then expanded into the outlet chambers 23.
Fig. 15 shows schematically another example, the work space cross-section of the chamber 21 to the chamber 23 changes significantly. Has in this device. the rotor part 11 is shell-shaped, which has an annular cavity of circular part-shaped cross-section and is connected to a spiral-shaped worm rib 25 which runs around the cavity 38 from its inner edge to the periphery.
The worm rib 25, which is constantly changing in height, engages in the slots of a rotatable disk 17 at a changing depth. The chamber 23 is expanded at 41 for cooperation with a conical element 42 which is fastened to that end of the ZVelle 10 be that carries the rotor 11, 25, the flow cross-section from the inner edge of the cavity in the rotor to the chamber 23 more or less constant.
This device can work both with the mechanical energy supplied to the shaft 10 when it acts as a compressor and the working fluid is conveyed from the chamber 21 into the chamber 23, or it can act as an expansion motor when the working fluid is fed to the chamber 23 under pressure is, wherein it expands on passage to the chamber 21 and gives off work and power can be taken from the shaft 10.
Fig. 16 shows schematically an example in which the separate rotor cores 11, 11a are arranged one behind the other on a common shaft and each carry a worm rib, which ribs are intended to interact with their own rotatable disk 17 each.
The inlet chambers 21, 21a arranged on opposite sides of the rotor set are inherited from one another by means not shown and the working fluid is fed to the common outlet 23 from these chambers via the working spaces and the outlet chambers 23 'and 23 "located between the rotors In this example, approximately the same pressure is exerted on the rotors in both directions and axial thrust along the shaft 10 can be eliminated more or less or to a <RTI
ID = "0008.0004"> relnt.iv small value to be reduced. The Kam; Mern 21 and 21a on the one hand and 23 'and 23 "on the other hand could be interchanged in their functions ge, and one outlet chimney 23' or 23" could also be. the one inlet chamber 21a and 21 respectively, so that the two rotors would be connected in series and the machine could work as a two-stage system.
FIG. 17 schematically shows an extension of the example shown in FIG. 16 and FIG. represents a four-stage system. The rotor cores 11, 11b, which are on shafts 10 and 10a. sitting, wearing snail ribs that come with. a rotatable disk 17 cooperate. In a similar way, rotors with cores <I> 11a </I> and 11c are intended to interact with a rotatable disk 17e.
The shafts 10 and 10a are connected to one another by means of a toothed chain 43 and accordingly rotate in the same direction of rotation. If they are there against, connected by appropriate gears, rotate in opposite directions of rotation, it is necessary to exchange the rotors with the cores 11b and 11c against each other. The working medium is conveyed from the chamber 21 through the chambers 44, 45 and 46 into the outlet chamber 23.
