Device on machine tools for controlling the tool coolant flow. The invention relates to a device on machine tools for controlling the tool coolant flow, which is characterized in that it means. to automatically interrupt the coolant flow w iilireiid at least part of the duration of the return movement of the carrier for the tool or workpiece and to automatically switch on the coolant flow during at least part of the duration of the advancing movement of this carrier.
In the drawing, three execution examples of the subject invention are shown schematically along with a detailed variant.
The device shown in Fig. 7 is intended for drilling machines, the Bohrspin del 1 is axially displaceable in the direction of the arrow and behind a hole 2 in the spindle jacket 3 is a longitudinal groove. 4 owns.
A pivoted at 5 lever 6 is located with his. one, detached, through the hole \? the end of the spindle gripping in the 4. The lever 6 carries a pin. 8, the one with. one axial. slidably on the shaft 9 of a liquid pump angeordne th coupling member 1.0 is in effective connection. That with. the coupling member 1.0 for cooperation specific coupling member 11 is. connected to a drive shaft 1.2 connected to a drive motor not shown.
The liquid pump, not shown, is used to supply a cooling liquid under pressure to the cutting edge of the drill seated on the drilling spindle 1, also not provided. In the position of the trä ger for the tool forming drilling spindle 1 according to FIG. this their upward movement, that is, the return ends and the lever 6 is lifted into the position shown by the stop surface of the groove 4, which in turn causes the uncoupling of the coupling 10, 11 and by releasing the working connection between the shafts 12 and J the The pump has stopped during at least part of the return movement in order to stop the delivery of the cooling liquid after the cutting of the bore.
As soon as the drilling spindle 1 is moved downwards again, the lever 6 is released through the stop surface of the groove 4. A tension spring 13 connected to the lever 6 causes the lever 6 to pivot in the sense of engaging the coupling part 10 in the coupling part 11 for the purpose the manufacture of the working connection between the drive shaft 12 and the 'shaft 9. The control of the interruption or activation of the coolant flow causing means, namely the clutch, are done by the tool carrier, which is in operative connection with the lever 6.
The liquid pump, which is restarted, generates a flow of coolant after the drill bit, which stops for the duration of the advance of the tool. The length of the groove 4 at the end of the drilling spindle 1 is expediently chosen so that the lever 6 is only pivoted to disengage the hitch 10, 11 after the drill has emerged from the drilled hole and the drill spindle is almost at its end position on return has reached. The -Wie dereinschalt the pump also takes place at a time before the drill rer has to do work again after the initiation of the feed movement.
The automatic interruption of the coolant flow to the drill in the position of the drill spindle after the end of the return movement, it makes it easier to change the tool or the workpiece and does not require any special manipulations to achieve the same objective. The device is independent of the length of the feed movement, so that shorter or longer holes can be drilled, essential for the correct work of the same is only that the drill spindle is returned to the end position when a Rücklaufbe movement is carried out. Is provided. an eccentric member 14 which can be rotated to raise the lever 6 for the purpose of permanently disengaging the hitch 10, 11.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2, which is also to be assigned to a drill, differs from that according to FIG. 7 in that a link 15 is articulated to one end of the lever 6 forming a pivotable control member, which is linked to the rotatable member 16 as a Diverting elements serve the rotary valve 1 7 is connected. The liquid pump 18 is connected to the rotary valve 17 via a line 19 and the tool via a pressure line 20. A return line 21 leads from the rotary valve 17 to the coolant container 22, from which the pump 1.8 sucks coolant for further conveyance.
The position of the lever 6 and the movable borrowed part 16 of the rotary valve in the position according to FIG. 2 corresponds to that into which the lever 6 has been pivoted after the end of the return of the drilling spindle 1. The lever 6 has rotated the rotatable rotary slide part 16, so that the cooling liquid delivered by the pump 18 flows back through the return line 21 into the container 22. After the advance stroke movement has been restarted, the stop surface of the groove releases the lever 6.
The latter is pivoted by the tension spring 13 and causes a rotation of the rotary slide part 16 in the sense of establishing the connection between the lines 19 and 20 for the purpose of conveying cooling liquid. by the pump via the pressure line to the factory and at the same time the shut-off of the return line 21.
Instead of the arrangement of a special organ with a rotatable body, a valve 23 (Fig. 3) built into the pressure line could also be used to achieve the same purpose, the valve body 24 of which is to be connected to the lever 6. This federbe loaded valve connects depending on the pivot position of the lever 6, the line 19 connected to the pump 1.8 with the pressure line 20, while at the same time the return line 21 is blocked. is, or it is the line 19 to the valve \ 3 with simultaneous shut-off of the pressure line 20 to the return line 21, so that the pump,
sucked in coolant is conveyed back to the coolant container, depressurized.
In order to pivot the lever 6 from the one end position into the second and back again, the drilling spindle according to FIGS. 1 and 2 is provided with a groove 4. But it could also be an adjustable on the drilling spindle to be ordered stop or the like vorgese hen that pivots the lever 6 when the drilling spindle is in the end position; returns after your return or releases the lever again after starting the feed movement.
Instead of the purely mechanical control of the rotary valve 16, 17 by the drilling spindle, as shown in FIG. -1, an electrical remote control can also be provided. On the pocket part that controls the Einriehtuin-. 1 there is a stop 25 in the embodiment according to FIG. 4, which alternately closes contact 26 and 27 alternately during the back and forth movement of the machine. Contact 26 is. with a solenoid 28, the contact 27 is connected to a solenoid 29.
Both solenoids act on the movable part of a piston valve 32, which has two pistons 30 and 31.
In the position shown in Fig. 4 of the machine part 1, the stop 25 has closed the contact 26 after the end of the return and the switched on solenoid coil 28 has brought the piston 30 and 31 in the position in which the pump 18, the liquid drawn in via the Line 20 promotes after the tool. The return line 21 is blocked. If the advance of the machine part 1. is finished, the contact 25 closes the contact 27 and the switched on solenoid coil 29 brings the pistons 30 and 31 into the dashed position, so that the liquid conveyed by the pump 18 speed via the line 21 flows back into the container 22, while the piston 30 blocks the line 20.
Instead of the mechanically actuated clutch shown in FIG. 1, a known, electrical clutch could also be seen in front of which the stop via contacts similar to the arrangement shown in FIG. and can be brought out.
The device in the embodiment of FIG. 4 can look like this. form that the contacts 26 and 27 can be moved and their spacing is adjustable as required, so that the cooling medium flow can be interrupted after the tool during the whole or only during part of the return path of the moving machine part.
The device described for controlling the tool coolant flow can be used on drilling machines in which the drill spindle is moved up and down in a known manner by means of a hand lever, or on machines that work completely automatically in a known manner and are controlled hydraulically or electrically. The Einrich device can also be provided on other machine tools in which the coolant is supplied to the work site during the operation, for example on lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, planing and slotting machines, etc., so on machines where the the means controlling moving machine part is designed as a work tool or as a workpiece carrier. A machine part that is moved with the tool or with the workpiece can also be used for control.
The coolant to be controlled can be one that exclusively has a cooling effect or that also has to serve as a lubricant at the same time.
