Method and apparatus for operating built-in cooling drums for ovens for burning cement, magnesite, lime, gypsum and the like. When operating ovens for burning cement, magnesite, lime, gypsum and the like, the kiln leaves the oven, e.g. B. the rotary furnace with about 1300 C.
With this tenipet-attir the material to be fired is still in a glowing state and consequently cannot go through without further ado. Usual transport equipment such as hopper chutes, bucket elevators, etc. can be transported further.
Such kilns are therefore provided with cooling devices. However, these cooling devices do not have. only the purpose of cooling the material to be fired as much as possible, but the air used for the current cooling process should be fed to the furnace as heated secondary air to support the firing process.
It has now shown that a sudden cooling of the material to be fired as far as possible has a positive effect on the quality of this material to be fired.
In the manufacture of full cement, a Selirell Kühlulig of the clinker, among other things, achieves better strength of the final cement.
-If one now, as is well known, introduces the cooling air at the outlet of the cooler, then a sudden extraction of the heat from the glowing clinker is not possible, although it is customary to use in Ulndreh.ung relocating cooling drums to provide the cooling drum itself with internals as a cooling device, with the help of which the goods to be cooled are forced in tight veils to be set in motion in the cavity of the cooling drum.
In order to achieve the intended rapid cooling in such cooling devices, the method according to the invention consists in that the access of Frisehluft, so of not preheated air, to the good to be küh looming in the cooling drum already he follows after the good in the Cooling drum has only covered part of its way.
It is known to see the cooling drum at its outlet end with a fan, the air in the cooling drum, ent against the moving ring of the to be cooled. CTtttesy blows in. The idea of the invention can now be realized in such a system that the Drttekluftrohr of the fan in the interior of the Kühltrom mel, z. B. half of the same is directed. As a result, the non-preheated cooling air hits the goods to be cooled, which is still at a high temperature., And it lets see the extraction of heat z.
B. on the cement clinker in such a way that with the help of this fresh air, the clinker, which enters the cooling drum at 1300 C, is quickly cooled to about 500 C, with a relatively small amount of air, which then heats up. can be directed to the combustion zone of the furnace as secondary air. Not only the resulting tendon cooling of the goods, z.
B. to about 5001 C, has a positive effect on the quality of the goods, but the lower, but highly heated air that is sufficient for this cooling process supports a proper sintering process when it is fed into the furnace in the kiln.
The supply of fresh air z. B. in the middle of the cooling drum can also be achieved by blowing this fresh air at the point in question through openings in the dumbbell of the cooling drum.
To now also on the remaining part of the cooling drum, z. B. on the second half of the cooling drum, the cooling of the cooling good z. B. from about 500 C to z. B. 50 C down to be able to protect the following transport devices, the arrangement according to the invention can also be designed in such a way that part of the frying air supplied to the interior of the cooling drum is directed towards the outlet end of the cooling drum . For this purpose, the Aus ..
When the cooling drum is running, an air suction device can be attached, the suction pipe of which is attached to a head surrounding the outlet pipe of the cooling drum. The amount of heat that is recovered from the material to be cooled during this last cooling process is not so significant that this additionally heated cooling air has to be fed back into the combustion process, giving up the otherwise achievable advantages.
The amount of cooling air sucked by the Luftabsaugevorrichtilng also does not need. so far. to be heated, that the operation of the Sau9v device is adversely affected. If necessary, this heated amount of cooling air can be led directly into the open from the suction device.
In order to achieve the transfer of part of the amount of air blown into the interior of the cooling drum not only by means of a greater vacuum in the head at the outlet end of the cooling drum, special steering devices can be provided at the outlet end of the said compressed air pipe of the fresh air fan Be part of the fresh air in front of companions.
The drawing shows the lower end of a rotary roller oven with a cooling drum in a side view, with an exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention being explained below.
The rotary kiln 1 finite its running ring '? ends at the rotary kiln head 3, which is on the foundation. 1 rests. In the rotary kiln 5 primary air is finitely blown through the pipe 6 with the aid of a fan and the fuel is conveyed into the rotary kiln 1 here.
The material to be fired, e.g. B. the cement clinker, reached from the end of the rotary kiln through the rotary kiln head 3 downwards via a flleitbalin, not shown, in your Funda ment situated flleitbalin. In the upper end of the cooling drum 8, which rests on runners 9 and is driven by a gearwheel 10 in L mdrehinzg.
The interior of the cooling drum itself is finite in all its circumference. Well-known internals not shown provided, uni (read cooling; ut in dense veils to trickle through the hollow space of the cooling channel again and again.
These fixtures can consist of shovels, which are attached to the inner drum wall of the cooling drum and serve to lift the goods to be cooled and then let them trickle through the cavity of the cooling drum.
Used many times. in the form of lifting shovels also U-irons, which are attached to all the inner drum walls of the cooling duct.
The outlet end 11. of the cooling drum is with. a unisehlenden head 1? Mistake. With the help of the fan 13, zero fresh air is blown into the inside of the cooling drum to cool the material to be fired, and it is important that the pressure tube 14 of this fan extends into the cooling drum 8 itself, so (let the Unheated hairdressing air meets items to be cooled which are still at a considerable temperature.
With such an arrangement, the pressure tube 14 is made so long that the fresh air. occurs approximately in the middle of the length of the cooling drum, the desired Sclinellkühlund of the refrigerated goods can be achieved in such a way that on the way a z. B. the cement clinker is cooled from about 1,300 to 500 C. This rapid heat extraction at the specified point on the cooling drum is achieved by the high temperature difference between the goods to be cooled and the fresh air introduced.
At the outlet end 7.1 of the cooling drum an air suction device 15 is provided, which via the suction pipe l.6 attached to the head 12 a part of the cooling air blown into the cooling drum 8 via the fan 13 in ssielitunu of the conveyed goods to be cooled. zuüeksaugt and thus in this way h the refrigerated goods z. B. cools down from 500 to .50 C. This amount of cooling air drawn back by the device 15 can be conducted outside via the chimney 16.
The product to be cooled then reaches the transport chute 17, sufficiently cooled.
In the case of rotary kilns with a shaft cooler in the form of a vision furnace, it has already been proposed that, in addition to the air injection at the outlet end of the vision furnace, another air injection should be carried out, approximately halfway up the shaft cooler.
This suggestion is based on the assumption that the air blown in at the lower end of the shaft cooler, which is completely filled with clinker, is used. could have a zti great resistance, uni actually to the burning zone zii Zelangeii, so that a second air inlet appeared at about half the height of the eye as two-n @ ü13i @ r.
The Frisehlufteinblasung at the Unifang- the finite the refrigerated goods completely filled-cooler is on the other hand disadvantageous insofar as the even distribution of this cooling air over the entire cross-section of the Scliaelitlzühlers cannot be expected.
1) This disadvantage does not arise in the case of the invention, using a cooling drum, the internals of which distribute the clinker as a loan on the cooling drum cross-section as the cooling drum rotates, but on the other hand do not offer any decisive resistance to the even air passage. When using the well-known eye cooler, on the other hand, the return of cooling air to the. last ways of the cooling device had not been seen before.
In the case of shaft coolers with a correspondingly short overall height, the cooling air can indeed pass through the layer of goods to be cooled, and the goods to be cooled are suddenly cooled. However, if you do not want to use excessive amounts of air that is detrimental to the burning process, the refrigerated goods come out of the cooling device at too high a temperature, so that the following transport devices are used excessively.
