Description

Rasensprenger.

Lawn sprinkler. The invention relates to a lawn sprinkler which enables a large radius of action to be achieved without moving parts.

The lawn sprinklers, which were common in earlier years and simply consisted of a spray nozzle with a wide spray cone, only have a relatively small radius of action because the pressure drop in such a spray nozzle is so great that there is not much energy left to throw off the droplets. In order to obtain larger action radii, one has recently switched to letting the water jet emerge bundled from a nozzle with an impossible low pressure drop and to guide it in a circle through rotating deflection surfaces or the like.

In doing so, one gains a considerably larger radius of action; but the application of rotating parts leads. inevitably to an inherited susceptibility to failure.

The lawn sprinkler according to the invention is characterized by a disc-shaped Sebleuderkapsule into which the water supply line opens tangentially and into which an outlet nozzle protrudes axially. Such an arrangement can be free of narrow nozzles and therefore practically never becomes clogged. It has the effect that (read water entering the sprinkler first in the centrifugal caliper) is brought into lawn circular motion, so that a vortex of high vortex speed. arises.

From this rotating water disk the outlet nozzle takes out the continuously renewing vortex core and this water then flows through the outlet nozzle to tear into a fine mist on its outer edge, which is sprayed in circles on all sides. It has been shown that in this way one not only obtains a fairly large radius of action, but also a uniform sprinkling of the field within the radius of action.

On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.

1 shows a vertical section and FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section through a lawn sprinkler. It consists of the disc-shaped centrifugal capsule 1 with the tangential hose connection 2 and the central one. Outlet nozzle 3, the inner wall of which is expedient. is slightly rounded in the manner shown. The direction of the Wasserströ is indicated by arrows, the cone of the sprayed water from the angle arrow a. The simplicity of the used device is immediately noticeable.
