Fig. 2 ist eine Vorderansicht im Vertikalschnitt.
Fig. 3 zeigt eine Variante der Bürstenanordnung.
Machine for cleaning plant pots.
The invention relates to a machine for cleaning plant pots and is characterized in that it is equipped with at least one driven rotary brush for each pot to be cleaned.
In the drawing, for example and schematically, an embodiment is shown together with two variants and explained in the description.
Fig. 1 shows a side view of the machine in vertical section.
Fig. 2 is a front view in vertical section.
Fig. 3 shows a variant of the brush arrangement.
4 shows a further variant of the brush arrangement.
According to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, a cleaning brush 3 is mounted on a horizontal drive shaft 4 in the side wall 2 of a container 1. The container 1 has an inclined bottom 5 (FIG. 1), is extended downwards by corresponding side walls 2a and is provided with feet (not shown). At least two of these feet can be designed as rollers, so that the machine can be transported or driven.
The brush, which is rotatably mounted in the bearing 6 in the side wall 2 of the container 1, is driven by a motor 8 mounted on supports 7. A belt drive, for example, consisting of the pulleys 9 and 10 and the belt 11, is provided as transmission. Instead of a belt drive, another drive, e.g. B. be provided by gears. A simplification of the brush drive can e.g. B. consist in that the drive shaft 4 is formed directly by the shaft of a motor, so that a special transmission is superfluous.
The inclination brush 3 has a slightly conical disc shape, the angle to the vertical et. wa corresponds to the angle that the conical wall of a flower pot makes to its longitudinal axis.
In front of the brush, a guide is provided in the container 1 for the pots to be cleaned. The guide support is formed by a platform 12 on which the pot to be cleaned is placed, as indicated in FIG. 1 by dash-dotted lines. The platform 12 can be adjusted and locked in the height and inclined position to the brush in order to adapt the always slightly varying shapes of the pots to the cleaning brush during cleaning.
For the adjustability and lockability of the platform. 12, the following means are provided according to the embodiment shown:
In two opposite side walls 2b of the container 1, a cropped shaft 13 is pivotably mounted in corresponding inner approaches of these side walls. The cropped middle part 13a extends up to the leg brush 3. The platform is pivotably attached to this part 13a of the shaft 13 by a shaft 14, so that by pivoting the shaft 13, 13 and by pivoting the platform 12 on this shaft 13, 13a the platform can be brought into any height and inclination to the brush 3 within certain limits.
A lever 15, which protrudes from the top of the container and is provided with a handle 16, while it is hinged to a fixed attachment 17 of the shaft 13, 13a at the bottom, is used to fix the height of the shaft 13, 13a and thus the platform 12 .
The lever 15 has spaced apart notches 18 which work together with a counterpart 19 fixed to the loading container 1. In order to adjust the height of the platform, the lever 15, 16 is disengaged in each case and, as required, is re-engaged in one or the other notch 18. A fixed setting of the various inclines of the platform 12 is not necessary, as can be seen from the operation and use of the machine explained below.
In order to automatically press the pots placed on the platform 12 against the brush 3, a spring clip 20 is also provided, which can be pivoted about a vertical piece 21 fastened to the platform 12. The spring clip strives to press the pots placed on the platform and encompassed by it against the brush 3.
The bristles 3? The brushes are usually made of phosphor bronze, copper or stainless steel. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, the brush has an annular shoulder 22 on the outer edge, specifically in adaptation to pots with an edge protruding outward at the top. The container also has a casing 23 between the brush and the platform. This casing forms, between the brush and the platform, a wall in the shape of a half cylinder, the edges of which are 23? from Fig. 2 can be seen.
Towards the brush, the casing has an opening 24 for the pot to be cleaned to freely pass through to the brush 3.
The purpose of the casing is to always return the dirty water carried along by the brush to the container 1. Guide surfaces can also be provided in the casing so that the splashed water that is thrown out is always directed against the pot to be cleaned.
The container bottom 5 is arranged so as to be sloping against the brush 3. At the lowest part of the container 1, an outlet tap 25 is provided in the bottom 5, which can be opened by simply pulling a lever 26 without turning a grater in order to drain the polluted water.
The mode of operation and use of the machine shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is readily apparent from the drawing.
The flower pot to be cleaned is, as indicated in Fig. 1, on the platform 1 @? between the spring clip 20 and the brush 3. Then, depending on the size of the pot, the platform is adjusted upwards or downwards and fixed by means of the lever 15, 16. Then the pot is pressed against the brush by hand, whereby xweeks adjustment of the conicities of the pot on the one hand and the brush on the other hand the platform 12 is pivoted around the cranked part 13s of the shaft 13. When the pot is pressed against the brush, the pot is slowly turned in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the brush until it has been cleaned on its entire circumference.
The variants according to FIGS. 3 and 4 are arrangements of the brushes which not only allow pots to be cleaned outside, but also inside. According to FIG. 3, a brush 27 is rotatably mounted in a platform 28 in that its vertical drive shaft 29 penetrates this platform 28 and receives its drive, for example, directly from a vertically arranged motor. Of course, the whole arrangement can also be housed in a washing container rotated by 90. The brush 27 has a conicity which at least approximately corresponds to the conicity of a pot 30 to be cleaned.
This pot 30 can, as shown in solid lines, be placed directly over the brush 27 for the purpose of cleaning the inside or, as the dot-dash position shows, it can be pressed against the brush 27 on the platform 28 for the purpose of cleaning the outside.
In the example of FIG. 4, two brushes 31 and 32 are presented in a similar arrangement as in FIG. B. can be driven by a belt drive 33,34,35 via the elle 36 of the brush 32. For the purpose of cleaning the outside of a pot 37, it is simply held between the brushes 31 and 32. The pot 37 is flipped over one of the two brushes 31 or 32 for cleaning the inside.
By means of the machine shown and described, plants or Commercially available flower pots can be cleaned quickly and easily in series. When cleaning the outside, the pots can be cleaned with the plant used. The machine is particularly suitable for large and medium-sized garden centers, flower shops, etc.
