Device for distributing pesticides on plants.
For spraying fields with pesticides, portable or mobile sprayers are used which spray the pesticide in an aqueous solution, suspension or emulsion with nozzles.
Rs the problem here is to wet the plants as evenly as possible. For this purpose, either large amounts of liquid are used, with the active ingredient in the form of a weakly concentrated solution, suspension or emulsion. Or you try to atomize the spray liquid. In the former case it is very annoying that large amounts of liquid have to be carried along. In the other case there is the disadvantage that the fog is carried away depending on the prevailing wind direction and also arrives at undesired points to be deposited.
This can also endanger the crew of the syringe. Vorriehtungen are also already known in which the spray mixture is foamed ver by adding suitable agents and using suitable devices to save water and then expelled by Druekluft generated by a fan. In all these cases, however, the distribution of the pesticide across the plants is uneven. In particular, the undersides of the leaves remain essentially unwetted.
The subject of the present invention is a device for distributing anti-parasitic pests on plants, by means of which the mentioned disadvantages are avoided. The device according to the invention has a blower and distribution devices for the air flow generated by the blower and for the pest control agent, the distribution devices for the two streams being arranged relative to one another so that the exiting air flow shields the pest control agent flow from the wind and the plants move offset so that they are hit on all sides by the pest control agent flow.
The arrangement of the distrib. Devices for the two streams can for example be such that an atomizing nozzle for the pest control agent is built into the outlet mouthpiece of the air stream generated by the fan, the scattering cone of which is suitably adapted to the width of the air stream.
The device according to the invention can be used for liquid as well as for dissolved, suspended or emulsified anti-parasitic agents and finally also for agents in finely divided solid form. In all cases, although it is not necessary to work with the high dilutions that have been customary up to now, an even and all-round distribution of the anti-scalp agent on the plants is guaranteed.
The device according to the invention can be designed to be mobile.
The accompanying drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the device according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows a mobile spray barrow for pesticides in elevation and FIG. 2 in plan view. In Fig. 3 and 4 possible arrangements of the distribution devices for the pest control agent flow and for the air flow are shown.
The wheels 1 of the cart drive, via corresponding transmission gears 2, two fan impellers 4 which are seated on a common shaft 3 and suck in axially on both sides.
The fan impellers push the air through transition and distributor pieces 5, in which guide surfaces 6 are arranged, into the distributor pipe 7, to which the wide-jet air nozzle 8 connects. The outer ends 9 of the distributor pipe 7 can be telescoped in or out in order to be able to change the spray width.
Furthermore, the outer ends 9 of the distribution pipe 7 together with the part of the wide jet air nozzle arranged thereon can be folded up around hinges 10 to save space when the syringe is taken out of operation.
In the wide-jet air nozzle 8, through which the air stream is blown onto the leaves of the plants 11, there are atomization nozzles 12 connected to the tank 13 via a pipeline each, through which the pest control agent carried in the tank 13 on the cart is in the The air flow generated by the fan is finely distributed. The number of atomizing nozzles, which can possibly also be arranged on the front edge of the wide jet air nozzle or even in front of this edge, depends on the width of their scattering cone and the width of the air nozzle.
