Elektrischer Durchlauferhitzer.
Fig. 3 einen Schnitt nach Linie II-II in Fig.1. und Fig.4 einen Schnitt. nach Linie III-III in Fig. 1.
Electric instant water heater. The invention relates to an electric water heater for the preparation of hot water.
The water heater for the preparation of hot water has for this purpose at least two electrodes made of carbon which are arranged in a flow chamber for the water to be heated, which electrodes are arranged at a distance from one another and are designed in such a way that they have a space between them for the flow of the Enclose heated water, and that the outlet connected to the continuous chimney does not contain any locking device.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is shown game of the subject invention. The figures show: FIG. 1 a vertical section through the flow heater, FIG. a section along line I-I in Fig.1. 3 shows a section along line II-II in FIG. and FIG. 4 shows a section. according to line III-III in FIG. 1.
The instantaneous water heater shown has a housing body 1 made of metal or synthetic material (such as synthetic resin or the like), the lower part of which has a hollow cylinder 2 containing a throughflow chamber and the upper part of which has a hollow cylinder connector 3. A closure piece 4 engages in the lower end of the cylinder 2. The connecting piece 3 is connected to the terminating piece 4 by a cylinder jacket 5, with a jacket space 6 being formed between the hollow cylinder 2 and the cylinder jacket 5.
In the Ansehlussstüek 3 is. a rubber plate 7 provided with a hole in the middle is inserted, and '.n its edge three radial locking screws 8 are evenly distributed, which allow the apparatus to be clamped to the mouth of a faucet 9, as illustrated in Figure 1. In the housing body 1 eight radial bores 10 are provided ver shares, which are verbun with an upwardly conically widening opening 11 see the. 12 is the outlet pipe socket, wel cher the jacket 5 is inserted penetrating into a radial bore of the housing body 1 and is secured in the jacket 5 by a ring-shaped weld 13.
The inner end of the discharge pipe 12, which does not have a shut-off device (tap, valve), is provided with a bore 14 that is widened conically downwards. connected to the flow chamber in the hollow cylinder 2. In the same way as the housing body 1, the sealing piece 4 is also provided with radial bores 15 which are uniformly distributed all around and which are connected to the flow chamber in the hollow cylinder 2 by an axial bore 16.
Two electrodes 17, 18 are arranged in the flow chamber, each of which forms one half of a cylindrical body, of which a plate-shaped part is missing along a plane passing through the cylinder axis and a diameter, so that an intermediate section 19 delimited by planes is present between the two halves, the distance between the halves being 1-1i / mm. As it is a poor conductor of electricity, the water flowing through it is heated when the current passes through it.
The two electrodes made of special carbon are each fastened to a contact screw 20 or 21 by means of a longitudinal bore, which screws enforce the electrodes and are stored with their upper ends in bores in the housing body 1 insulated. The lower ends of the contact screws penetrate the bottom of the end piece in insulating sleeves and protrude into a cavity 22 present in this for the connection terminals 23 and 24, which are provided on each contact screw.
The electrical conductors of the plug cable 27 inserted through a bore 25 in the wall of the end piece 4 and a cover 26 closing off the cavity 22 are connected to the latter.
The water entering through the inlet opening 11 when the heater is in operation flows outwards through the radial channels 10 and downwards according to the arrows in the shell space 6. Through the radial channels 15 and the axial channel 16, the water flows from the shell space below into the flow chamber in which the water flows upwards between the electrodes 17, 18 and rises upwards, depending on the flow rate, and flows out of the outflow nozzle 12 as more or less warm water.
After closing the faucet, the water remaining in the flow chamber is immediately brought to boiling temperature and evaporated, the steam being able to flow out through the outflow pipe, which does not contain any locking device. After the water in the flow chamber has evaporated, the conductor for the current transfer from one electrode to the other is missing, which automatically interrupts the circuit and eliminates the risk of the apparatus overheating.
The plug cable of the instantaneous water heater can be connected to a power supply network via a socket. A special switch for switching on the current is not necessary because the device. can be permanently energized when the tap is also closed.
