Thermoschalter.
Thermal switch. The subject of the present invention is a thermal switch in which a hot wire is connected at one end to one end of a metal crossbeam and at the other end to a contact lever which is rotatably mounted at the other end of the metal crossbeam and on which a spring acts, which tries to close it twist so that the hot wire is tensioned, which contact lever also cooperates with a pre-tensioned contact spring in such a way that it makes contact with the contact spring in the rest state and that the contact is interrupted after the coxitakt lever is rotated,
whereby the contact spring suddenly moves away from the contact lever under relaxation.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown.
Fig. 1 shows a plan view of a thermal switch and Fig. 2 is a partial perspective view of the same.
In a housing 1 made of synthetic resin an existing metal cross member 2 is arranged on which a bearing pin 3 is mounted electrically isolated, for. B. is riveted. On this bearing pin 3, a contact arm 4 is rotatably mounted, with which a bearing bush 5 is riveted, on which one end of a hot wire 6 is fixed and wound. The other end of the hot wire 6 is conductively connected to the crossbeam 2, and the crossbeam 2 is connected at this end in an electrically conductive manner to a terminal lug 7 by a copper wire 6 '.
A second terminal lug 8 is conductively connected to a contact spring 9 which cooperates with the contact lever 4 and has an inclined end part 9 '. The contact spring 9 is pretensioned in such a way that, in the rest state shown in FIG. 1, it engages the contact lever 4. exerts some contact pressure.
A helical spring 10 engages the contact lever 4 at one end and the housing 1 at the other end, so that it strives to rotate the contact lever 4 in the direction of the arrow indicated in FIG. 1 and thus tension the hot wire 6, 11 is an on the housing 1 fixed return member, which consists of a resilient arm which is adjustable by a push button 12 ver.
If the connecting lugs 7, 8 of this thermal switch are connected in series with a power consumer, then a current flows from the connecting lug 7 via the copper wire 6 ', the traverse 2, the hot wire 6 to the bearing sleeve 5 on the contact lever 4, via this contact lever 4 and the Contact point for contact spring 9 and connection lug B.
As a result of the current flowing through the hot wire 6, the same is heated, which results in a linear expansion and thus, due to the influence of the spring 10, a rotation of the contact lever 4 in the direction of the arrow. At a certain current, the twist of the lever 4 is so great that the contact between the lever 4 and the contact spring 9 is interrupted, the contact spring 9 suddenly moving away from the contact lever 4 as a result of its bias.
In order to bring the contact lever 4 back into the idle state after switching off the thermal switch, the push button 9 is pressed. The restoring member 11 acts on the contact lever 4 and rotates the same against the direction of the arrow. The contact lever 4 BE moves here over the contact spring 9, wherein he pushes the bent end portion 9 'down and then comes behind this end portion, as shown in Fig. 2 in dashed lines is indicated.
When the push button 12 is released, the contact lever 4 is rotated again in the direction of the arrow by the tensile force of the helical spring 10, with it acting on the underside of the end part 9 'and tensioning the contact spring 9 again. The contact lever 4 is now back in the rest state shown in FIG.
The switch-off moment of the thermal switch shown can be -. Adjust exactly by bending the left attachment of the cross member 2. Furthermore, the current range can be varied within wide limits by choosing a suitable hot wire.
The thermal switch described is characterized by its simplicity and reliable mode of operation.
