Feuchtigkeit. tritt stets in Form von hv- groskopiseh gebundenem -NV asser im Isola tionsmaterial auf, wo sie, insbesondere bei Mehrsehiehtenisolationen, keinen praktischen Nachteil bedeutet;
was im all gemeinen erwünscht ist.
Method and device for dehumidifying heat-insulating walls of a cold room. The invention relates to. a method and a device for dehumidifying heat-insulating walls of a cold room.
The method consists in that air is cooled below the freezing point by a cooling element to a temperature below the cooling space temperature and then passed through ducts located inside the walls, and that the ice of the cooling element is formed by means of a defrosting arrangement is brought to the clay tongue and removed.
Humidity. always occurs in the form of hv- groskopiseh bound -NV water in the insulation material, where it does not represent any practical disadvantage, especially in multi-layer insulation;
if, however, the pressure of the vapor in the air has a value somewhere on the wall. Exceeds tet, which corresponds to the pressure for saturated water vapor at the prevailing temperature at the point in question, free water precipitates, which in certain types of insulation worsens the insulation capacity to a very harmful degree and can also destroy the insulation material. The previously known arrangements of the type in question solve the problem of keeping the insulation dry, in many cases, while they are still inadequate in other cases.
An example of operating conditions that the previous ventilation methods cannot handle under all circumstances occurs in the case of so-called deep freezing of food and the like, where the temperature in the cold room is of the order of magnitude of -20 C and below. At these low temperatures the vapor pressure curve has a very flat course, which means that a change in temperature by a few degrees changes the ability of the air to absorb water only very insignificantly. At z.
B. -20 C is the ability of the air to absorb water, with a temperature increase of 1 C about four times less than with the same temperature increase at 0 C under otherwise similar circumstances. In the former case there is therefore four times as large an amount of ventilation air per unit of time. required so that the same drying effect is to be achieved. The ability of the air to absorb moisture varies in roughly the same proportion at a constant temperature, i.e. from a certain partial to complete saturation. This ability is so when increasing the moisture content of z.
B. 80% to 100 ö about four times less at minus 20 C than at 0 C.
If the insulation does not contain any special circulation gaps for the dry air, so that it has to find its own way through the insulation, the main amount of air will flow in on the warm side of the insulation, since the drive column is greatest here, and a regulated drying or dehumidifying process is not guaranteed.
To carry out the method, a device is provided according to the invention in which the walls of the cooling chamber are designed as double wall with ducts located between the inner and outer walls, which are connected to a cooling element located in the cooling chamber by a line for the air supply to them.
The method according to the invention is described below with reference to the exemplary embodiments of the device shown in the drawing, for example.
Fig.1 is a vertical section through a cooling space with inventive device Einrich; FIG. 2 shows part of this arrangement partly in section on a larger scale; Fig. 3 is a vertical section through a cooling room with another embodiment of the device.
In the various figures, the same designations have been used for similar parts.
In the drawing, 10 denotes the wall of a cold room, the term wall also including the floor and ceiling. The walls can be made in a known manner with an inner cladding or layer 12 and an outer cladding or layer 14 and an interposed angeord designated insulation layer 16, for. B. made of cork or multilayer material. The clothing 12 and 14, of which the former made of fiber plates, such as.
B. those that are formed by means of asbestos fibers and cement, or consist more resilient material on the ground and the latter can be made of concrete, brick or the like, are, preferably on the inside, with a kräf term, uninterrupted covering made of material difficult to penetrate for diffusion, primarily asphalt.
In deep-freezing, or in those cases where the cooling room temperature is always or almost always lower than that of the surroundings, it is however advantageous to apply such a covering to the layer 12. Closer to layer 12 than to layer 14, a ventilation gap 15 is arranged around the cooling space, which gap, as shown, is laid on the floor and advantageously also on the ceiling z -eek- directly to the layer 12 while a layer 17 of insulation material is provided between the gap and the layer 12 on the vertical walls.
The cold room is cooled by means of a refrigeration machine 18 of a type known per se. From this machine a Lei device 19 for liquid coolant goes on, which is connected via a reducing valve 20 to a line 22 in which the coolant is evaporated ver and which in turn is connected to a cooling element 23.
The line 22 is in intimate, thermally conductive (metallic) contact with a tube 24, one end of which is connected by a line 26 to a cooling coil 28 which is separated from the cooling chamber air by a housing 30, which is expediently pushed by a 31 is surrounded by insulation material. The other end of the line 24 is connected to a vessel 32 which contains a conductive medium such as dichlorodifluoromethane.
The coil 28 is connected to the vessel 32 via a line 34, a solenoid valve 36 with a movable valve body 38 being attached in the line 34. The latter is surrounded by a solenoid 40 which, when power is supplied through the line 42, 44 brings the valve body into closed position.
To the housing 30 two lines 46, 48 are connected, which are connected to the columns 15 in the vicinity of the ceiling and the floor of the refrigerator on two diagonally opposite sides of the room in Ver. The line 48 is expediently thermally insulated from the cold room air, as indicated at 49. The channels 1: 5 of the wall 10, the lines 46, 48 and the housing 30 thus form a circulation system that is separate from the cooling room air. The housing 30 is placed so close to the depth of the cold room that a large resulting drive column for the ventilation air is obtained.
In the housing 30 one or more heat cartridges 50 are mounted, which, like the solenoid 40, through lines 52, 54 current via a time-set relay 56, e.g. B. a clockwork can be supplied. In thermally conductive contact with the cartridge 50 is z. B. via a metal body 58 a sleeve 60 into which a plug 62 made of fiber material or the like is inserted. The sleeve 60 with the plug 62 can be replaced by a water seal. will.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the tube 26 is pulled out through the Wan extension 10, where it is connected to one end of a snake 64, which is therefore located outside the refrigerator. The other end of the coil 64 is connected to the tube 24 via a tube 66 drawn through the wall 10. This line is necessary in most cases where a cold store or cold room is used only for deep freezing.
The arrangement works in the following way: When the refrigeration unit is working, the temperature outside the refrigeration chamber being higher than in it and no current flowing through the time relay, the contents of the vessel 32 run through the open valve 36 to the coil 28 up to a level 67. There. the temperature in line 22 and thus also in line 24 is lower. than in the queue 28 and also lower than in the cooling room, the 1: Tedium located in the Sehlange will evaporate and condense in the line 24, from which it runs back to the vessel 32 Ge. The heat consumed in the line for evaporation cools.
the circulating air entering the housing 30 from the line 46 to a temperature which is below freezing point (0 ") and which falls below the temperature of the cooling chamber, expediently by 8 to 10 ° C. and more The air dried as a result passes through the line 48 from the cold room wall.
Because the circulating air enters the cold room wall at a temperature that is significantly below the temperature of the cold room air, or a moisture content that corresponds to this temperature, the circulating air receives due to its relatively strong, in the course of the circulation It has a good capacity to absorb fire after heating up and can remove a relatively large amount of moisture from the cold room insulation.
This fortune is. thus many times greater for a certain amount of air than if the air is only cooled to the temperature of the refrigerator. The cooling of the circulation air to the low temperature means a certain amount of energy consumption, most of which is not lost, but benefits the cold room, as the circulation air is guided through the insulation close to this cold side and thus cools the cold room air.
Between the layer along which the circulating air flows forward in the gap 15 and the outside of the cold room wall there is namely a strong insulation layer, which is why only a slight loss of heat occurs.
When the circulating air cools, moisture falls on the snake 28 in the form of snow or ice, there. their temperature falls below 0 C. At certain intervals, the clock 56 causes current to be supplied to the heating cartridge 50 while at the same time it closes the valve 36 so that liquid can no longer flow from the vessel 32 to the coil 38. The heating cartridge 50 now melts the ice sitting on the snake 28, and the condensate runs off through the plug 62, which is also thawed by the cartridge.
During the period of frost, the circulation through the ventilation system practically stops completely, because of the action of the propellant column causing the circulation. is substantially less than or equal to zero when the refrigeration in the housing 30 is replaced by a supply of heat. becomes. During this period, which is of course short, the then relatively moist air in the housing 30 only flows into the cooling space walls to a significant degree.
It emerges from the above that the inside of the housing 30 can or will be frozen off without interrupting the generation of cold in the cooling element 23, since the two circuits are separated from one another.
It is evident that the housing 30 can be relocated outside of the cooling space. In certain cases, not only the valve 36 but also the current switch with the heating cartridge 50 could be operated by hand.
If the machine 18 is turned off during the winter because the outside tempera ture around the cooling space is lower than that prevailing in this, the course described above is repeated with the only difference that now the snake 64 serves as a condenser instead of the line 24, which automatically becomes ineffective and in this case is only a return line for condensate from the coil 64 to the vessel 32.
The embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from the previous one essentially in that the circulation system leading through the cooling chamber walls is connected to both the cooling chamber air and the outside air. The housing 30 is laterally open at the top, as indicated at 68, while it rend through the insulated line 48 near the bottom with the gap 15 in the wall 10 of the cold store in connection. In this case, the gap 15 is moved approximately into the middle of the insulation material 10, except on the floor.
It is located near the ceiling above a channel 70 in direct connection with the refrigerator. A line 72 which is open at the top to the atmosphere and which is surrounded by an insulation layer 74 is connected to the gap 15 near the bottom of the cold room.
The line 72, which is laid ver on the outside of the cold room wall, has in the vertical direction an extension of the same order of magnitude as the Kühlratunhöhe. On the upper part of the cold room or its ceiling there is a duct 76 which connects the cold room directly with the outside air.
In summer, when the outside temperature is higher than the cold room temperature, the cooling coil 28 is in effect. From. Air coming into the cold room is cooled and dehumidified by the coil and flows through line 48 to the gap. 15, which it flows through, partly after flowing through the floor, in an upward direction, in order then to go through the channel 70 to the cooling space. In the line 72 forms.
See a column of air with a lower temperature than that of the surroundings, since the line is insulated, so that the column of air thus forms a counterweight to the column of air in line 48. The air column in the line 72 is only gradually warmed up, so that a weak air flow is caused through it, while at the same time a corresponding amount of air enters the cooling chamber through the channel 76. A certain ventilation of the cooling space takes place in this way,
what is generally desired. The simultaneous ventilation of the cooling chamber with the ventilation of the walls can be adjusted by a suitable choice of the vertical extension of the line 72. Optionally, the line 7 2 mz for this purpose can have closable openings in different Ni veauhöhen.
If the cold generation in the queue 26 is turned off in the winter, the now colder outside air will cause a circulation downwards through the line 72 and upwards through the gap 15 to the channel 70 ago. A corresponding amount of the to the refrigerator compartment. Air flowing in in this way exits through duct 76. In this case, there is a weak circulation in the upward direction through line .18, in accordance with those mentioned above in connection with line 72.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the coil 28 is connected in parallel to the cooling medium line 19 and return line 77 (see FIG. 1) for the evaporated cooling medium. The snake is therefore cooled directly by the cooling medium of the machine 18. The invention is. of course not limited to the embodiments shown, but can be modified to the greatest extent possible within the scope of the inventive idea.
