Seal between two cylindrical parts. The invention relates to a further training from the seal between two cylin drical parts according to the claim of the main patent. It consists in the fact that the apron has a U-shaped cross section and connects two metal-sealing rings with each other, each resiliently resting on the sealing surface of one of the two cylindrical parts, which are formed at the end of the legs of the apron.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the invention is schematically Darge provides.
1 shows a longitudinal section of a piston of a double-acting internal combustion engine, and FIGS. 2 and 3 show the cross section through one of the seals on a larger scale in the relaxed and in the tensioned state.
The piston 1 of a double-acting internal combustion engine is provided with an upper Kol benboden 2 and a lower piston head 3, which are connected by the intermediate piece 4, which forms a piece with the piston rod 5, and are attached to it by means of the screws 6 and 7. A cover plate 8 is provided around the intermediate piece 4.
The coolant passes from the bore 10 of the piston rod 5 into the cooling chamber 11 of the lower piston crown 3 and from there through the bores 12 into the cooling chamber 13 of the upper piston crown 2, in order by means of the reflux pipe 15, which is inserted into the bore 10 the piston rod 5 is inserted to flow away. To seal the cooling spaces 11 and 13, the seal 16 is provided between the piston rod 5 and the piston head 3, the seal 17 between the piston head 3 and the intermediate piece 4 and the seal 18 between the piston head 2 and the intermediate piece 4, which seals have the same cross-sectional shape.
According to Figure 2, each seal has a he most sealing ring 20 to which the leg 21 of the apron adjoins with a U-shaped cross-section, a connecting part 22, a second apron leg 23 and a two th sealing ring 24 at the end of this angle's. The connecting part 22 has recesses 25 and bores 26 distributed over the circumference for fastening means 27 (FIG. 3).
The sealing surfaces 28 and 29 of the sealing rings 20 and 24 are beveled in the unstressed state in such a way that when the seal is inserted they rest against the cylindrical parts 2 or 3 and 4 or 5 over the entire height (FIG. 3) Between space 30 is chosen so that the two sealing rings 20 and 24 are not yet when the seal is inserted. touch. The height 31 of the connecting part 22 is greater than the thickness 32 of the legs 21 and 23 in order to achieve a sufficiently high contact pressure.
Between the connecting part 22 and the cylindrical parts 2 or 3 and 4 or 5 there is play 33 on both sides so that the seal (16, 17, 18) can freely adjust. The seal (16, 17, 18) is inserted in such a way that the space 30 is on the side of the higher pressure. In the case of the seal 16, the higher pressure is on the side of the combustion chamber. In the case of the seal 17 and 18, however, on the side of the Kühlräiune 11 and 13. This means that the pressure contributes to the seal.
The seal described can also be used between tween two other cylindrical parts ver such. B. between two non-rotating parts of other piston engines or rotating Maschi NEN, steam turbines, gas turbines or between two walls of a Druckge barrel. In the event of a deformation, e.g. B. the outer cylindrical part, e.g.
B. when deviating from the circular shape, the leg 21, the connecting piece 22 and the leg 23 act in series as a resilient apron, which causes that despite the mentioned deformation of the outer cylindrical part and thus the sealing ring 20 of the inner sealing ring 24 its circular shape can keep and stay tight.
In order to prevent the seals 16 and 17 from stripping off the piston rod or the intermediate piece 4 during assembly and disassembly, a number of stud bolts 27 are distributed over the circumference and allow the connecting piece 22 to move radially.
In place of such bolts 27, a locking ring 34 is provided for the seal 18 according to FIG. Instead of a full retaining ring, ring segments can of course also be used.
