Holding device for clockworks with clamping hooks. The invention relates to a holding device for clockworks provided with clamping jaws. A device previously known for this purpose has two clamping jaws connected like pliers and pressed against one another by a spring, but this entails the risk that the clockwork will fall out of the jaws if unintentional pressure is applied to the pincer legs. In addition, since the jaws must be shaped according to part of the outline of the movement, a separate device is required for each watch shape and size, if a watch mechanism deviating from the jaw shape and therefore only clamped at two points should not tilt during work.
The same shortcomings occur also in a holding device, according to which one jaw can be brought closer to the other jaw against the action of a spring by means of a screw.
The subject of the invention now forms a holding device for clockworks, which eliminates the above-mentioned inconveniences of the known device in that it has a base body which is set up both for holding by hand and for securely placing on the workbench, in which evenly mutually displaceable and in are guided by the clockwork used given clamping position by a common organ lockable clamping jaws. In the drawing, for example, two embodiments of the subject invention are shown, namely FIGS. 1 and 2 show the first embodiment of the holding device in the diagram or in Be tenansicht, partially in section.
FIG. 3 illustrates the second embodiment of the holding device in plan view and FIG. 4 illustrates the latter embodiment partly in side view, partly in section. Finally, FIGS. 5 and 6 show a clamping jaw belonging to the second embodiment in a side view or in a plan view on an enlarged scale.
The holding device according to FIGS. 1 and 2 consists of a box-shaped base body, in the ceiling of which three guide grooves c extending radially towards the center are incorporated in an even distribution. A standing washer d is rotatably placed on this base body a, in that the latter is provided with a screw bolt e acting as a pivot bolt, which is passed through a central hole in the base body cover b and secured against falling out with the aid of a nut f , which at the same time also allows the standing disk d to be clamped in any desired position.
The guide grooves c correspond to spiral slots g provided above them in the adjusting disk d and likewise evenly divided, through which a clamping jaw h extends longitudinally in the associated guide groove c.
With a rotation of the adjusting disk d iun the base body a in one direction or the other, the clamping jaws h are evenly approached or removed from one another as a result of the side pressure exerted on them by the spiral slot edges. So that a displacement of the jaws can take place without Klemmim.g, the part protruding through the slots g has a circular cross-section.
Since, however, the rotation of the clamping jaws h is prevented, the same are at their lower end with a cross-section of the guide grooves c adapted, but from this outstanding guide approach k equipped. For the purpose of effective clamping of the clockwork i to be clamped, inclined undercut paragraphs Z are formed on the heads of the clamping jaws h of the clockwork to be clamped.
After loosening the nut f, the clamping jaws h are pushed so far apart by turning the adjusting disk d that the movement to be processed i can be placed on the shoulders l of the clamping jaws h . The disk d is then turned back in the opposite direction until the clamping jaws k hold the clockwork i with the front or clamping surface of the shoulders, whichever position is maintained by tightening the nut f at the same time.
When the nut is tightened, the adjusting disk d is pressed in the axial direction directly onto the protruding part of the guide lugs k of the clamping jaws h, as a result of which they are clamped. The holding device together with the clockwork i clamped in this way can, depending on the work of the watchmaker he demands, tends to ge harmlessly in all directions, even be turned over without the risk of the clockwork i falling.
Furthermore, since the clockwork i is exposed on all sides due to the clamping jaws h projecting far above the adjusting disk, on the one hand the light also falls into the clockwork i from below, on the other hand all necessary interventions in it are made possible.
The second embodiment of the holding device according to FIGS. 5 and 6 differs from the first discussed mainly in that; that only a single, diametrically running guide groove is incorporated in the cover b of the base body a, the radial halves of which correspond to a spiral slot g in the adjusting disk d. Here only two form clamping jaws h are seen, which are formed circular cylindrical only in the region of the spiral slots g.
In the part l of the clamping jaw protruding beyond the adjusting disk d, an inclined undercut gradation h effective as an additional clamping surface is incorporated below the actual clamping head m (Fug. 5 and 6).
On the clamping head m, obliquely undercut clamping surfaces ml to m3 each with a different radius of curvature are formed in several steps. The clamping surfaces m2 and m3 of the clamping heads are subdivided by a step-shaped recess n which runs in the center plane of the jaw and is also stepped in terms of its height and width.
The guide lugs k of the jaws have the screw bolt e facing and des sen cross-section corresponding, semicircular cutouts k. on.
By restricting the jaws of the above-described Ausfüh tion to two form, the accessibility of the clamped clockwork is increased with the same secure clamping.
