Process for the preparation of a metallizable monoazo dye. The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of a metallizable monoazo dye. The process is characterized in that the diazo compound of 2-amino-benzene-1-sulfonic acid-4-sulfonic acid-phenylamide-4'-oxy-5'-carboxylic acid with 2-1Vlethylamino-8-oxy-naphthalene-6-sulfonic acid in sour Aledüun pelts.
The resulting new dye is a blue-red powder, which is easily in water with blue-red color and in conc. Dissolves sulfuric acid with a yellow-red color. In the chrome print on cotton, it creates a luminous blue-tinged red shade, and on wool from an acidic bath it also creates a blue-tinged red that hardly changes when it is re-chromed.
<I> Example: </I> 38.8 parts of 2-amino-benzene-l-sulfonic acid-4-sulfonic acid phenylamide - 4'-oxy-5'-carboxylic acid are dissolved neutrally in 250 parts of water and together with 6.9 Parts of nitrite in 100 parts of water with cooling to 30 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid. and 30 parts of water are added dropwise, the temperature not exceeding 3. The yellow-brown diazo compound has largely failed.
A weakly lacquer acidic solution of 25.3 parts of 2-3lethyl-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid in 100 is then added dropwise within 1 hour to the suspension obtained, which is clearly acidic in the Congo and should not contain excess sal Share water. The coupling sets in quickly and is practically complete in 2-3 hours. Any mineral acid that may still be present is blunted by adding a little sodium acetate solution. The mixture is stirred overnight without further cooling, warmed up, then neutralized at 80 with about 110 parts of 15% soda solution and 20% table salt is added.
At 30 to 40, the dye is filtered off and washed with a little 20% strength brine. After drying, the dye is a blue-red powder that easily dissolves in water with a blue-red color and in conc. Sulfuric acid dissolves with a yellow-red color. In the chrome print on cotton it creates a bright bluish red shade, on wool from acid bath it also creates a bluish red that hardly changes when re-homing.
