Description
Liquid fuel burner with spray effect. The object of the present invention is a liquid fuel burner, with a pulverization effect, one embodiment of which is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.
The burner shown in the drawing comprises three elements arranged coaxially with respect to one another, namely an inner tube a forming a duct through which the liquid fuel arrives, an outer tube b forming, together with the tube a, a duct, with annular cross section, for the air supply and a central rod c provided, at its outer end, with a cap cl having the shape of a cone.
The tube b, on the other hand, is provided with a flared part b 'corresponding to the cap with regard to its taper. Between these soft parts c 'and 1)' is reserved a space constituting an outlet channel which extends outwardly between two parallel conical surfaces. :
_ roughly halfway up the cap cl, the latter has a circular groove c = which constitutes a clearance space, as is explained below. Ix, outer tube b has a mouth which is also conical and which forms, together with the flared part b ', an outlet channel having a cross-section which tapers outwards.
The operation of this burner is as follows: Lc. combustible liquid arriving through tube a with a certain pressure enters. the duct formed by the parts c and b ', but in this course it meets the groove c = and spreads into it where its. pressure will equalize as it relaxes, so that it can be ejected with less.
.de- resistance and violence, to be immediately entrained by the air leaving the outlet channel formed by the mouth of the outer tube b and the flared part b '. The air flow having retained its pressure will predominate, always on the combustible liquid which will always be entrained, without the nefac-te formation of thread, without braking or other causes of déségla.ge or malfunction.
This result is essentially obtained by the parallelism of the flared part b 'and of the cap c' as well as by the groove c = constituting Ù la. both a chamber of relaxation, balance and volume distribution.
