Electric toy rail car. The invention relates to an electric toy rail car, which is characterized in that the chassis consists of at least one rigid chassis and at least one pivotable bogie made of an electrically insulating plastic. In the case of railcars, a recess can also be provided on Fahrgestel1 for the arrangement and attachment of the drive motor including ancillary unit, in which case the chassis frame between the two bogies can have a recessed part in which the drive motor sits.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is shown game of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the electric toy rail car in side view, with a longitudinally cut body.
FIG. 2 is a section along the line E, -E of FIG. 1.
FIG. 3 shows a plan view with horizontal sections along lines A-A and B-B of FIG. 1.
Fig. 4 shows a plan view with removed body with Horizontalschnit th along the lines C-C and D-D of FIG.
According to the embodiment shown, both the bogies 1 and the chassis 2 of the chassis are made of an electrically insulating plastic, the shape of the bogies and the chassis can be pressed or injection-molded. The formation of these parts 1 and 2 from synthetic resin serve to isolate the car parts against stresses.
In the illustrated example of a railcar, the chassis has a recess in the middle between the two bogies Ver 2a, which is used to accommodate the drive motor 4, which is an electrical rule. All-current motor can exist and is attached to the recessed chassis part 2a by means of a plastic or metal frame 4a. The motor shaft 4b is connected at both ends via a transmission 5 and a Ge joint shaft 6 each with one in the longitudinal center plane of the bogie running and ge superimposed drive axle 7, each via a worm gear 7a with the drive wheels 9 of the vehicle in movement control - there is a bond. With 10 arranged between the drive wheels 9 running wheels are designated.
The bogies 1 are pivotably connected to the chassis 2 by pivot pins 12, consisting of a sleeve and screw.
Connected to the motor 4 is an electric stepping mechanism, controllable by current pulses, with a switching drum for switching off and changing the motor for the positions <: forward, stop, backward, stop;>.
The current collector contacts 11 are designed as sliding contacts. At the bottom of each bogie there is a pair of such contacts 11, which are laterally offset from each other in such a way that in a bogie (Fig. 3) one contact of a pair with the center rail and the outer rail on the right, with the other bogie with the center rail and the outer rail on the left work together.
The contacts of the outer rails can be switched off independently of one another. The aforementioned arrangement of the contacts 11 also allows two trains on the same rail track to be controlled from a transformer in both directions.
The driving wheels 9 and running wheels 10 are electrically isolated from the axles by means of pressed-in plastic rings. The axles run in plain or ball bearings that are screwed into the bogies 1.
With the drive motor 4 and the magnet of the stepping mechanism 13 is a Bimetadl temperature switch in Ver connection, which is arranged above the second Drehge alternate. The purpose of the bimetal switch-off is to automatically switch off the motor 4 and magnets in the event of overheating and to automatically switch the current back on when the motor and magnet have cooled down.
A miniature lamp, which is connected to the switchgear, is installed on each end of the railcar.
The body 3 of the railcar consists of pressed light metal and can conveniently be electrochemically colored or sprayed with enamel paint. The body is pressed from one piece. It is attached to the chassis using screws that fit into screwed sleeves in the chassis.
