Fig. 1 zeigt die ganze Einrichtung und
Fig. 2 in gr¯¯erem Ma¯stab Teile derselben beim Gebrauch der Einrichtung.
Eie a. n. dere Ausführungsmoglichkeit besteht, darin, das Spritzrohr in dias Han, dstück einzubauen.
B. all : zu tiefes Bohren und akzidentelles Er¯ffnen der Pulpa. infolge Un. übersich'tlichkeit des Operationsfeldes vermeiden lϯt; 3,. der Bohrer wird vorweg gesäubert, so dassseineSchneidfähigkeitentsprechend'län- ger erhalten bleibt ;

Equipment, in particular for dental treatment.
The device according to the invention, in particular intended for dental treatment, has a spray pipe connected to a storage container for rinsing liquid by means of a pressure line and also a suction pipe that is separate from this and thus independently movable and connected to a collecting vessel.
This allows in a simple manner a continuous rinsing and suctioning off of used rinsing liquid (if necessary also with entrained material, e.g. of a tooth jammed by drilling, cutting or grinding). The relative position of the spray tube and suction line can be changed at will, so that comfortable, quick and safe work is possible; As a result of a better overview, the dentist is able to prepare cavities and teeth more reliably and dab them, and the rinsing, which the patient would otherwise have to do from time to time, which entails relatively long interruptions in the work of the dentist, is no longer necessary.
Except for dental purposes, especially for root canal treatment, this device is also suitable for rinsing on other types of fluid. i zinischen Sp ezia. areas.
An exemplary embodiment of the device according to the invention intended for dental purposes is shown in the accompanying drawing, partly schematically.
Fig. 1 shows the whole device and
Fig. 2 on a larger scale parts of the same when using the device.
1 denotes a handpiece of conventional design, designed as a handle, into which a Eopf drill 2 is detachably inserted, which can be driven by means of a flexible shaft 3, for which purpose an electric motor, not shown, is expediently used. 4 is the e container containing a certain supply of rinsing liquid, which is sealed airtight by means of a cover 5. en is. In the container 4 there is a riser pipe. 6, which is attached to the container lid 5. On the outside of the container lid 5, the pressure line 7 is connected to the riser pipe 6, which is formed at least over part of its length by a hose, which with its second end over the.
Spray tube 8 is turned upside down, which has a nozzle 9 at its angled end part. The container lid 5 has an opening which can be closed by means of a screw 10 for filling in the rinsing liquid. The storage container 4 is attached to a scinem cover 5, z. B. rigid line 11 connected to an air pump 12, which is formed in the example by a rotary pump, but can of course also be of another type.
The air pump 12 is on the other hand by a, for example, rigid line 1. 3. with. connected to the collecting vessel 14, which is partly made of glass, on n whose airtight lid 15, which has a screw plug 1. 6, the line 1 @ 3 is attached.
At the bottom of the vessel 14 has an outlet tap 17; the design can also be such that vessels. ¯ 14 and cover 15 can be separated from one another as a result of a releasable connection, whereby the said drain cock is necessary. In the vessel 14 there is a short pipe s fastened in the vessel cover 15. do 18, to the on. the outer side of the vessel cover 15 is connected to at least one exhaust line 19 formed by a hose over part of its length. which can thus be pulverized independently of the spray tube 8.
With its second end, this hose is attached to a tube 20, to which a rigid mouthpiece 21 is attached at the other end, which is shaped according to its intended use, e.g. B. is expanded in a funnel shape towards the free edge.
The spray tube 8, which has a nozzle at the free end, is equipped with two salt clips 22, by means of which it is detachably clamped onto the handpiece 1. By means of the Halteb gel 22, the spray tube 8 on the handpiece 1 is adjustable in the longitudinal direction, see above. that the spray tube 8 provided on the spray tube 8 is in its position with respect to. of the Bo. hrers 2 is adjustable. The spray tube 8 can, however, also be adjusted in the circumferential sense on the handpiece 1, that is to say can be adjusted in the corresponding angular position to the axis of the handpiece.
One. Another setting option of the spray tube 8 can optionally be provided in the sense that the spray tube can be set at an acute angle or at an angle of inclination to the axis of the handpiece instead of being parallel to this axis, as shown. is.
The described device uses and works as follows:
When the drill 2 is used, the activated air pump 12 is used to suck in air via the line 19 and press it through the line 11 into the storage container 4. As a result, rinsing liquid is fed from the storage container 4 through the line 7 to the spray tube 8 and thereby, via its nozzle 9 according to FIG. 2, to the work site A of the drill 2, so that the drilling site or, if necessary, the grinding site of the tooth , continuously sprinkled with liquid.
If, for example, the spray tube 8 is combined with the handpiece 1 to form a single body, with the appropriate setting of the spray nozzle 9 on the handpiece 1, the rinsing liquid is guided to the work site in the required direction.
The mouthpiece 21 of the line g 20, 19 is brought to the tooth B being treated in the immediate vicinity of the work site A or in such a position to the tooth B that the rinsing liquid used on tooth B along with the material (tooth dust) removed by the drill 2 from tooth B is sucked off via the line 20, 19 into the vessel 14, in which there is a pressure gradient as a result of the existing pressure gradient. the fluid carrying the tooth dust settles; the vessel 14 can be emptied from time to time.
The position of the mouthpiece 2! 1 of the suction line 2i0, 1'9 can by suitable, expedient a. In the suction tube 20 attacking aids in the patient's mouth are fixed in their position so that the dentist is no longer called upon in this regard and can therefore work without an assistant.
Incidentally, a special type of design is possible in that the suction line. is combined with the mirror commonly used by dentists in that the handle of the mirror is designed, for example, as a hollow shaft which is intended for passing the used rinsing liquid through and is connected to the vacuum vessel 14 by means of a hose for this purpose. By appropriately adjusting the spray tube 8 in its longitudinal direction and angular position on the handpiece 1, the flushing liquid can, if desired, also be directed by means of the nozzle 9 in a direction other than directly opposite. the drill head can be steered.
Eie a. Another option is to install the spray tube in the handle.
The device according to the invention is also particularly suitable for suction irrigation of root canals, for which purpose the spray tube 8 connected to the vessel 4 is adapted to the root canal lumen and into a. lateral opening of the suction tube 20 is inserted and can be pushed up in the root canal, while the. The mouth of the suction tube 20 can be at the entrance to the root canal. By appropriate fastening of this combined suction pressure device, continuous flushing of the.
Root canal as well as the periapical tissue and with appropriate adaptation. the facility also from Wun. den and gum pockets. can be carried out without the presence of the dentist or an assistant.
In addition to the advantages already mentioned, there are also the following advantages when performing sustained irrigation: 1. The dentist is put into the position without assistance in cavity preparation, grinding teeth, and considerable suction irrigation To save time and also to achieve the advantages described under 2-5 below; 2. The processing point on the tooth remains clearly laid out, which z.

4. As a result of the continued cooling of the drill and the processing point, the otherwise generated by frictional heat is drawn. thermal pain reduced accordingly; 5. As a result of the cooling effect, grinding tooth stumps results in damage to the pulp and paradentium. avoided by overheating.
