Description
Verfahren zum Anbringen von Knopflöchern in Kleidungsstücken aus thermoplastischem Material.
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Anbringen von Knopfl¯chern in Klei- dungsstücken a, us thermoplastischem Mate- rial, ferner ein nach diesem Verfahren mit Knopfloch versehenes Kleidungsstück sowie eine Vorrichtung zur Ausführung des Verfahrens. Während üblicherweise für Eleider verwendetes thermoplastiaehes Material ver- hältnismässig widerstandsfähig gegen Zug is. t, kann es relativ leicht von einem Knopf- lochschlitz aus eingerissen werden.
Erfin dungsgemäss wird. in eine Lage des mit einem Knopfloch zu versehenden Teils des Kleidungsstückes das Knopfloch gestanzt, und ein aus dem gleichen thermoplastischen Material wie die Lage bestehendes Verstär- kungsst ck wird derart auf die Lage a, ufge- schwei¯t, da¯ es das Knopfloch einfa¯t.
Die Erfindung soll im folgenden an Hand der in der Zeichnung dargestellten Ausführungsbeiepiele näher beschrieben werden. In den Zeichnungen ist :
Fig. 1 eine Aufsioht auf einen Teil eines Kleidungsst ckes, das mit einem Knopf- lochverstärkungsstüek versehen ist.
Fig. 2 ist ein Schnitt gemäss'der Linie II-II von Fig. 1.
Fig. 3 ist ein Vertikalsohnitb durch eine Anordnung zum Anbringen der Verstär kungsstücke.
Fig. 4 ist eine Aufsieht auf einen Teil der Anordnung, und
Fig. 5 istein Schnitt gemäss der Linie V-V von Fig. 3 und 4 in gr¯¯erem MaBstalb.
In der Zeichnung bezeichnen 10 und 13 zwei Lagen eines thermoplastischen Materials, welche Lagen einen Teil eines, Kleidungsstückes bilden. Dièse Lagen sind mit einem Knopfloch versehen, das mit 14 bezeichnet ist und einen geraden, engen Schlitz 16 mit an beidenEndenerweiterten Teilen 18 und 20umfasst,diedurchge- kr mmte Kanten 21 und 24 begrenzt sind.
Der Endteil 20 des Knopfloches, der zur Aufna. hme des den Knopf ha. ltenden Fa.- dens vorgesehen ist, ist zweckmässig grosser als der andere Endteil 18.
Auf die Lage 10 ist ein Streifen 26 aus dom gleichen Material wie diese Lage aufge- schweisst, und dieser Streifen erstreckt sieh in einer geschlossenen Linie als Einfassung um das Knopfloch 14. Die Dicke des. Strei- fens 26 ist mindestens eineinhalbmal so gross wie die der Lage 10. Die innere Seitenwand des Streifens 26 verlÏuft senkrecht zur Ebene der Lage, während die äussere Seitenwand 28, die die gleiche Umrissform hat wie die Lochkante, gegen die Lage 10 hin abgeschrÏgt verläuft, wodurch die WiderstandsfÏhigkeit der VerstÏrkung verbes sort wird.
Ausserdem sind die beiden Lagen 10 und 12 um das Loch 14 herum zusammengeschwei¯t, zweckmϯig ber eine Streoke, die grosser ist ais die Weite des Streifens 26, wie bei 30 in Fig. 1 angedeutet.
Die in Fig. 3 bis 5 da. rgestellte Anord- nung umfasst eine Fundamentlatte 32, die aus einem Kunstharz hergestellt sein kann und in der ein Hebel 34, z. B. aus Kunstharz, bei 36 schwenkbar angeordnet ist. Der Hebel 34 isb mib einer obern Elektrode 38 versehen, die über einen Drahb 40 mit einem ultrahochfrequenten Strom gespeist wird.
Mittels einer Stange 42, die mit ihrem obern Ende bei 44 am Hebel 34 schwenkbar angeordnet ist und mit ihrem untern Ende an einem (nicht dargestellten) Pedal befestigt ist, ka. nn der Hebel 34 in eine untere Lage gebracht werden, in der eine Anschlagschraube 52 auf die Stange 48 auftrifft und dadurch den Federkontakt 58 in Eingriff mit dem Kontakt 54 bringt. Ein weiterer Federkomtakt 56 ist normalerweise gegen den Kontakt 54 gedrückt, so dass dann ein geschlossener sschwachstromkreis durch die Kontakte 56 und 58 gebildet wird, die an ein (nicht dargestelltes) Relais angeschlossen sind, das seinerseits den ultrahochfrequenten Strom an die obere Elektrode 38 und eine untere Elektrode 60 schaltet.
Bei weiterer Drehung des Hebels 34 nach abwärts entfernt der Zapfen 49 den Federkontakt 56 vom Kontakt 54, bevor diese Abwartsdre- hung durch die Schraube 46 aufgehalten wird, so daB die Stromkreise dann unterbrochen sind.
Die Elektrode 60 ist in einem nicht leitenden Organ 62, beispielsweis, aus Kunstharz, befestigt. Das Organ 62 ist abnehmbar an der Platte 32 angeordnet. Der Elektrode 60 wird Strom über eine Leitung 64 zugeführt. WÏhrend die Elektrode 38 bei dieser Ausführungsform eine ebene untere Fläche besitzt, ist die obere Flache der Elektrode 60 mit einem Messer 66 versehen, das die gleichen Umrisse besitzt wie die gante des Knopfloches 14, das in den Lagen 10, 12 angebracht werden soll. In den windungsfor- migen Endteilen des Messers sind Locher 67 vorgesehen, die sich durch die Elektrode 60 hindurch erstrecken und zur Entfernung von überschüssigem plastischem Material bei Betätigung der Anordnung dienen.
In gleichbleibender Entfernung vom Messer 66 erstreckt sich ein Vorsprung 68 um das Messer herum und ist von diesem durch eine Vertiefung 70 getrennt, deren Querschnitt dem gew nschten Querschnitt des Streifens 26 entspricht. An beiden Seiten des engsten Teils des Vorsprunges 68 sind AbsÏtze 72 vorgesehen, die die gleiche Tiefe haben wie die Ausnehmung 70. Das Messer 66 erstreckt sich höher hinauf als der Vorsprung 68.
Eine isolierende F hrungsplatte 74, bei spielsweise aus Eunstha. rz, ist mit einem Schlitz 76 von im wesentlichen gleicher Form wie der obere Umriss der Elektrode 60 versehen. Die Platte 74 umgibt die Elektrode 60 und wird von Zapfen 78 getragen, die in Ausnehmungen 82 des Organes 62 mittels Flanschen 80 geführt sind. Zwischen den Flanschen 80 und einer am Or. ban 62 ange ordneten Deckplatte 84 aus Isoliermaterial sind Federn 86 angeordnet, die bestrebt sind, die Platte 74 in einer angehobenen Lage zu halten, in der die obere Fläche der Platte sich auf einem hoheren Niveau befindet als die obere Fläche der Elektrode 60. Wenn der Hebel 34 heruntergedrückt wird, wird die Platte 74 gegen die Wirkung der Federn 86 gesenkt, wobei die Platte in eine Offnung 88 im Organ 62 eintritt.
Die Wirkungsweise der Anordnung ist folgende :
Auf der Elektrode 60 ist ein Veratär- kungsstück aus plastischem Material angeordnet, das ungefähr die gleichen Abmes sungen besitztwiedieäussernAbmessungen des fertigen Streifens 26 sind, das jedoch nicht einen der Form des Knopfloches 14 entsprechenden Schlitz besitzt. Die Füh- rungspla. tte 74, die sich jetzt in ihrer obern Stellungbefindet,verhindert,dassdas VerstÏrkungsst ck bewegt wird, wenn das plastische Kleidungsst ck 90, das aus den beiden Lagen 10 und 12 besteht, über die Elektrode 60, gezogen wird.
Der Hebel 34 wird nun herabgedrückt, und die Elektrode 38 beginnt das Kleidungsst ck 90 gegen das Verstärkungsstüek zu pressen und bewegt gleichzeitig die Führungsplatte 74 abwÏrts.
In diesem Augenblick trifft der Absatz 51 d, er Stange 48 auf den Federkontakt 58 auf und f hrt den Eingriff zwischen diesem und dem Organ 54 herbei, so da¯ der Stromkreis s ber die Kontakte 56 und 58 geschlos- sen ist. Dies f hrt dazu, da¯ das Relais den ultraihoehfrequenten Strom über die Leitungen 40, 64 schliesst. Während der weiteren Abwärtsbewegung des Hebels 34 werden das Kleidungsst ck 90 und das Verstärkungsstiick zum Schmelzen erhitzt, während das Messer 66 das Knopfloch aussohneidet. Das Verstärkungsstück wird entsprechend der Form der Vertiefung 70 geformt und wird a. uf das Kleidungsstück geschweisst.
Bevor der Hebel 34 seine unterste Stellung erreicht, hat der Zapfen 49 jedoch den Federkontakt 56 fortgestossen, so dass die Stromzufuhr zu den Elektroden unterbrochen wird. Das Ma.terial, das durch das Messer an den Endteilen weggeschnitten wird, geht durch die Locher 67 a. b. Die Lagen 10, 12 werden a, uch bis zu der Aussenkante des Vorsprunga 68, entsprechend der. Linie 30 in Fig. 1, zusam mengeschmolzen.
Es werden gemäss Fig. 1 also keine Fa- dennähte verwendet, wesha. lb das Klei- dungsstück ein elegantes. Aussehen hat.
PATENTANSPR¯CHE :
I. Verfahren zumAnbringenvonKnopf- l¯chern in Kleidungsstücken ausi thermopla- stischem Material, dadurch gekennzeichnet, da. B in eine Lage des mit einem Knopfloch zu versehenden Teils des Kleidungsstückes das Knopfloch gestanzt wird und ein ans dem gleichen thermoplastischen Material wie die Lage bestehendes Verstärkungsstück der- art auf die Lage aufgeschweisst wird, dass es das Knopfloch einfassb.

The invention relates to a method for making buttonholes in items of clothing made of thermoplastic material, and also to an item of clothing provided with a buttonhole according to this method, as well as a device for carrying out the method. In accordance with the invention. the buttonhole is punched into a layer of the part of the garment to be provided with a buttonhole, and a reinforcement piece made of the same thermoplastic material as the layer is welded onto layer a in such a way that it simplifies the buttonhole ¯t.
The invention is to be described in more detail below with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing. In the drawings is:

In the drawing, 10 and 13 denote two layers of thermoplastic material, which layers form part of an article of clothing. These layers are provided with a buttonhole, indicated by 14, which comprises a straight, narrow slit 16 with parts 18 and 20 which are enlarged at both ends and which are delimited by curved edges 21 and 24.
The end part 20 of the buttonhole, which is used for Aufna. If the thread holding the button is provided, it is suitably larger than the other end part 18.
A strip 26 made of the same material as this layer is welded onto the layer 10, and this strip extends in a closed line as a border around the buttonhole 14. The thickness of the strip 26 is at least one and a half times as great as that of layer 10. The inner side wall of the strip 26 runs perpendicular to the plane of the layer, while the outer side wall 28, which has the same outline shape as the edge of the hole, is sloping towards the layer 10, which improves the resistance of the reinforcement.

The lever 34 can be brought into a lower position in which a stop screw 52 strikes the rod 48 and thereby brings the spring contact 58 into engagement with the contact 54. Another spring contact 56 is normally pressed against the contact 54 so that a closed weak circuit is then formed by the contacts 56 and 58, which are connected to a relay (not shown), which in turn supplies the ultra-high frequency current to the upper electrode 38 and a lower electrode 60 switches.
When the lever 34 is rotated further downwards, the pin 49 removes the spring contact 56 from the contact 54 before this waiting rotation is stopped by the screw 46, so that the circuits are then interrupted.
The electrode 60 is fixed in a non-conductive member 62, for example made of synthetic resin. The member 62 is detachably arranged on the plate 32. The electrode 60 is supplied with current via a line 64. While the electrode 38 in this embodiment has a flat lower surface, the upper surface of the electrode 60 is provided with a knife 66 which has the same outline as the whole of the buttonhole 14 that is to be made in the layers 10, 12. In the spiral-shaped end parts of the knife, holes 67 are provided which extend through the electrode 60 and serve to remove excess plastic material when the arrangement is operated.
At a constant distance from the knife 66, a projection 68 extends around the knife and is separated from it by a recess 70, the cross section of which corresponds to the desired cross section of the strip 26. On both sides of the narrowest part of the projection 68, shoulders 72 are provided which have the same depth as the recess 70. The knife 66 extends higher up than the projection 68.
An insulating guide plate 74, for example made of Eunstha. rz, is provided with a slot 76 of essentially the same shape as the upper contour of the electrode 60. The plate 74 surrounds the electrode 60 and is carried by pegs 78 which are guided in recesses 82 of the organ 62 by means of flanges 80. Between the flanges 80 and a cover plate 84 made of insulating material arranged on the Or. Ban 62, springs 86 are arranged, which strive to keep the plate 74 in a raised position in which the upper surface of the plate is at a higher level than the upper surface of the electrode 60. When the lever 34 is depressed, the plate 74 is lowered against the action of the springs 86, the plate entering an opening 88 in the organ 62.
The mode of operation of the arrangement is as follows:
A reinforcement piece made of plastic material is arranged on the electrode 60 and has approximately the same dimensions as the external dimensions of the finished strip 26, but which does not have a slot corresponding to the shape of the buttonhole 14. Tip 74, which is now in its upper position, prevents the reinforcement piece from moving when the plastic garment 90, which consists of the two layers 10 and 12, is pulled over the electrode 60.
The lever 34 is now depressed, and the electrode 38 begins to press the garment 90 against the reinforcement and at the same time moves the guide plate 74 downwards.
At this moment the shoulder 51d, the rod 48 hits the spring contact 58 and brings about the engagement between the latter and the element 54, so that the circuit is closed via the contacts 56 and 58. This leads to the relay closing the ultra high-frequency current via the lines 40, 64. As the lever 34 continues downwardly, the garment 90 and reinforcement garment are heated to melt while the knife 66 cuts out the buttonhole. The reinforcing piece is shaped according to the shape of the recess 70 and is a. Welded onto the garment.
Before the lever 34 reaches its lowest position, the pin 49 has pushed away the spring contact 56, so that the power supply to the electrodes is interrupted. The material, which is cut away by the knife at the end parts, goes through the punch 67 a. b. The layers 10, 12 are a, uch up to the outer edge of the projection 68, according to the. Line 30 in Fig. 1, melted together.
