Deckels 14 liegt, eingeschraubt. In.
diesen in richtiger Stellung befindet.

Socket for tube lamps. The present invention relates to a socket for tube lamps, in particular for tube lamps, which either work with a higher operating voltage than the voltage customary in residential buildings or for which a higher ignition voltage is required than
in the case of the tubular fluorescent lamps in use up to now or which require a hot cathode to ignite Elsa's bulrush. Such tube lamps are usually referred to as cold cathode lamps, but the application of the invention is not limited to this type of lamp.
Three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the accompanying drawing: t: Fi.g. 1 eats a side view of a tubular lamp fastened in lampholders: the bursting embodiment.
Fig.? is a section through one of the lamp sockets and a partial section through the other of the lamp sockets with a lamp fastened in these.
Fig. 3, is a section: through one of the frame sockets,. from where the lamp is removed.
Figure 4 is the side view. a further embodiment, and Fig. 5 is a child of a third embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. In the drawing, 1 denotes a tubular lamp, which eats fixed in sockets 21,
with a socket provided for each lamp end. The sockets can be of the same construction.
According to Fig. 3, the lamp consists of one at both ends. insulated glass tube, with an isolating base: 3 attached to each of the ends. This base 3 can be fastened to the closed ends of the glass tube in any suitable manner.
It is provided with its annular recess 4, in which a bialene 5 is arranged in the central position and which is delimited by a sleeve 6.
A metal plate 7 provided with a number of fingers 8 is arranged at the inner end of the socket 3, because the fingers protrude through oil openings into the bottom wall of the annular recess 4 and their outer ends are bent inwards, as shown at 9,
around. to form the contacts for the lamp. The metal sole 7 is connected to the cathode located inside the glass tube. At the outer end of the sleeve 6, a metal contact ring 10 is fastened in some way.
It is clear that each end of the lamp is provided in the same way with the same base as the one described here.
The lamp holder has a holder body 11 with an opening 12 extending axxi 1, which from.
, the counter ridge is drilled open so that a shoulder 13 is formed. The opening 1'2 'is closed by a cover 14 made of insulating material, which cover means. Screws or other suitable means.
The socket body 11 and the cover 14 are shaped in such a way that they form an opening 15 in which a hexagon screw 1.6 is arranged .. This is in an opening in the end of a contact strip 17, which is in a recess on the inside of the .
Lid 14 is screwed in. In. A contact-carrying ring 18 made of insulating material is arranged on the opening 12 and is shaped in such a way that it rests on the shoulder 13. It has a nac11 protruding sleeve 19 which has a shoulder on which a flange formed at the end of a contact sleeve 20 is seated. To -the sleeve 19 around an annular rough 921 is the IN ANY.
The end of the sleeve 20 protrudes beyond the end of the iaodizing sleeve 19 and is designed so that it can slide in the same. This sleeve '20 is held by a spring 22 'in or Ste1111u g, in which its flanged end in contact with,
the shoulder tar of the insulating sleeve 19 is. One end of the spring 2'2 'engages in the flanged end of the sleeve 20 and the other end in a meta-lene eyelet 23 which is fastened to the ring 1'8 by means of a rivet 24.
The rivet has on the 'side of the ring-shaped space 21: a contact head 2 @ 5. Over the Ü! Se 2'3 is an insulating washer 26, which helps to hold the Üsje in position, and at the same time: serves to form a housing for the eyelet and the spring '22.
Between: the insulating disk 216 and (the cover 14, a second spring 27 is arranged, which is connected at one end to the contact strip 17, as shown at 28, and the other, Ehde is attached with a rivet 29 on the ring 1.8.
This rivet 29 protrudes through the ring 18 and also has a contact head 30 in the annular space 21. The contact heads 2'5 and 30 are on: diametrically! opposite the places. arranged in the room 2'1 '. The sleeve 20 is of such a diameter that it receives the bolt 5. can, and the annular space 21 is of .derartigem extent that it can accommodate the sleeve 6.
The lamp socket can be attached to a supporting wall 31 with screws 32 which protrude through suitable openings in the lamp socket.
Two lamp sockets are attached to a suitable supporting wall at a distance from each other, as shown in Fig. 1, that the lamp is between:
this is in the correct position. In order to introduce the lamp into the socket, one end of the lamp is first inserted into a socket by inserting the bolt 5 into the sleeve 2 and the sleeve 6 into the annular space 21. is ejected. Then will. the lamp is pressed further into the socket against the tension of the springs 22 and 2! 7.
In this connection it should be noted that the spring 27 is stronger than the spring 22, so that the spring 212 is compressed earlier. As soon as the lamp is inserted ", the contact fingers 9 come into contact with the contact sleeve 20, wherein also: the contact ring 10 comes into contact with the contact heads 215 and 30.
The lamp is pressed into one socket until the other end of the lamp can be lifted into the other socket; then the lamp becomes by the action of the springs. axially centered.
'Soba., When the lamp is inserted, the circuit for the lamp is closed, namely: the current runs from the contact screw 161 through the contact strip 17 to the spring 27, through the spring 2! 7 to the rivet 29 and contact head 3' 0, through:
the contact ring 10 for. Contact head 25, through the rivet 2'4 to the eyelet W and from there through the spring 22 and the contact sleeve 20 to the contact fingers 9 at one end of the lamp and through the lamp to the socket at the other end of the lamp, which socket, equal to d: it is just described and through which the current flows in the same way in the opposite direction.
If the lamp is pulled out of the socket, de: rtro @ mkrei an: is interrupted three places, namely at each of the contact heads 2i5 and 310 and at the contact: akt- hiilse? () '; also der_Stromkreis becomes in each case in an and i oli:
first room interrupted. In this way, a relatively high voltage can be interrupted with a minimum of sparks and no visible sparks, since this spark takes place in a completely secluded room.
The contact head 30 is arranged away from the surface of the lamp at the bottom of the annular space so that it is a random contact. rhirc.h the person who uses the lamp. or take out, unlikely, is.
It should also be noted here that the circuit through the lamp is not. is closed before the lamp is fully seated in the socket and: the contact between the ring; 10 and the contact heads 30 and? 5 man: represents is. The "is important for security reasons.
Tube lamps of the type shown are also often used in series production. That means a number of lamps are arranged one behind the other in a row, with the current being connected to the outer ends of the two end lamps.
With such an arrangement, a lamp holder according to FIGS. 1-3 can be used at the two ends of the row and a double lamp holder, as shown in FIG. 4, can be used at the two ends.
As shown in FIG. 4, such a double lamp holder has a base body 33, corresponding to the base body 11 made of Fir. 1-3, and a cover 34, corresponding to the Deekeil 14 from Fig. 1-3, on.
In this socket body 3'3 is. a recess 35 is formed in which: two organs 36 and 37 opposite one another, corresponding to the in Fi.g. 1-3, organs 18 shown, are arranged and which lamp base: the one in, Fib. 1-3. Between the two:
Organ 3'6 and 37 a spring 38 is arranged, which corresponds to the spring 27 in Fig. 1-3 and through which: the electric current is conducted from one lamp into the next. A terminal for the series connection is not necessary.
Essentially: the construction of the socket according to FIG. 4 coincides with that according to FIGS. 1-3, and its application results in the description given in connection with the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1-3: en was.
FIG. 5 shows a partial section: a lamp and a socket of a third embodiment, gs-form. The lamp tube is labeled 3.9.
This is closed at each end with a metal base 4.0, on wel chem inside the glass envelope 39: an electrode 41 is arranged. At the end of the lamp tube 39 there is an insulating base 4> 2, corresponding to the base 3 in FIGS. 1-3, au- geor: dn: et, which has walls that enclose an annular space 43.
At the inner end of the space 43 contact fingers 44 are arranged, which are fixedly connected to the end of the base 42, extend through openings in the base 42, and the ends of which are bent into the groove in the wall of the Fühirungsnockes 43a, as shown at 45 . These fingers 44 form the contacts for the lamp end, since they are electrically connected to the electrode 41 of the lamp @.
A contact ring 46, which corresponds to the contact ring 110 in FIGS. 1-3, is attached to the end of the base 42. The. Socket consists of a base body 47 which is tubular and has a shoulder 48. A disk 49 made of insulating material is pressed against this shoulder by a spring 50, which is attached in a suitable manner between said disk and the closure lid 51.
The terminal of the socket to which: the power line is connected is denoted by 52. Firmly connected to the disk 49 is a sleeve 5, 3 in which a contact sleeve 54, provided with an inwardly bent flange, is arranged, stimulating which flange an insulating disk 5: 5 is pressed by means of the spring 56 becomes:
A contact 57, which corresponds to the contact 25 in FIGS. 1-3, is connected to the contact sleeve 54, and a contact 5'7a, which corresponds to the contact 30 in FIGS. 1-3, is connected to the spring 50 .
The contacts 5, 7 and 57a are connected by means of: the contact ring 46 when the lamp end is seen into the socket; in order to bring the contact fingers 44 into engagement with the contact sleeve 54.
