Die Regulierbedingungen des Reglers 3 sind unter Umständen beim Über- oder beim Unterschreiten der Sollwertstellung nicht gleich. Beim Unterschreiten der Sollwertstel- lung wird beispielsweise die eingespritzte Brennstoffmenge einer Brennkraftinaschine bis zur Füllung 0 geregelt, wobei sich die Drehzahl nur langsam ändert;
Control device with servo motor. The invention relates to a regulating device with a servo motor and an adjusting piston which returns the control element of the servo motor and whose movement is mechanically independent of the servo motor piston by being acted upon by pressure medium controlled by the control element of the servo motor piston,
in particular for power control of vehicles driven by internal combustion engines with electrical power transmission, known servomotor-operated power controllers, in which the required function makes mechanical feedback of the control element through the servomotor piston impossible,
show oscillations or oscillations caused by overregulation under certain circumstances.
To reduce these vibrations is. already. has been proposed to return the control organ of the servo motor by a piston which is acted upon simultaneously with the servo motor piston by pressure medium controlled by its control organ and which is mechanically not connected to *, the servo motor piston. This known return has the disadvantage
that it works immediately and thus only reduces the opening of the control organ. In practice, the result would be the same as if a control element with a smaller cross section were used for the servomotor.
In order to reduce the oscillations that occur and prevent greed, it is proposed according to the invention that the return movement of the adjusting piston by means of throttling elements in the lines that connect the working space of the adjusting piston to the control space of the control element is opposite to the movement of the control body is delayed.
This arrangement has the advantage that at a certain deflection, e.g. B. the controller of an internal combustion engine from the position which corresponds to the final position of the control element of the servomotor, this control element now immediately makes it relatively quickly. Only when the deflection of the internal combustion engine regulator no longer increases as quickly,
the adjusting piston gradually follows and reduces the opening of the control element. The return movement is thus delayed.
The essential effect of the throttling according to the invention now occurs when, for example, the internal combustion engine controller has reached the greatest deflection and returns to the equilibrium position. This reversal in the movement of the internal combustion engine controller means
that the power regulator has loaded or unloaded enough and the control unit should now return to the final position as quickly as possible. Without feedback, this does not happen, but the control element of the servo motor only comes into the final position when the internal combustion engine controller has reached the target position again, but if there is now a throttling in the pressure medium lines to the adjusting piston,
so the latter cannot go back to its middle position so quickly. As a result, the control element of the servomotor comes into the final position before the internal combustion engine controller is in the target position, and - verden pendulum movements are reduced or avoided.
If the throttling is correctly coordinated, the control element of the servo motor oscillates constantly around the final position as long as the internal combustion engine controller goes back towards the set position. The phase shift of a quarter period between the engine controller and the power controller, which is present without the use of throttling, is thus canceled.
During the time when the two aforementioned controllers were moving in opposite directions, the power controller is now at a standstill.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
According to the figure, the internal combustion engine 1 is provided with a controller 3 driven by the crankshaft by means of the transmission 2, the sleeve 4 of which adjusts the control element 15 of the servomotor 16 via the linkage 5 to 14, the piston 17 of which with the contact lever 18 of a: Regelwider was 19 connected, which is used, for example, to regulate the excitation of the generator not signed GE, which is driven by the Brennkraftniaschine 1 and the current for the drive motors, not shown, z. B. a rail vehicle generated.
To return the control member 15 of the .Servomotors 16, the device 20 with the adjusting piston 21, which is returned to the central position by the spring 23 and on the tapered part 24 of the piston rod 22 movably angeord designated spring plates 2, 5 and 26.
The mode of operation is as follows: The various organs of the control device are drawn for a state of equilibrium, that is to say the control resistor 19 just sets the load that is given by the setpoint adjustment device 27, 28. Does the load change due to any external influences, e.g.
B. entering a slope, or internal, caused by the engine influences and the load goes, for example, beyond what the engine in the position of the controller 3 corresponding speed can output, the speed of the engine decreases , the weights of the regulator 3 go inwards and the sleeve 4 downwards.
When the pivot points 11 and 14 are held, the slide 15 now goes upwards, out of its final position, so that pressure medium can enter the line 29 through the passage 30 in the slide mirror and the lines 31 and 33 to the upper side of the piston 17.
As a result, the resistance 19 is increased, that is to say the excitation of the shock generator is reduced. At the same time, however, pressure medium through the branch 32 to the upper side of the piston 21, which goes down and by moving the pivot point 14, rotates the lever 13 around the point 12 and thus leads the slide 15 back slightly towards its final position.
The pressure medium below the piston 17 and 21 ent deviates through the lines 35 and 36 as well as the passage 34. By the throttle organs 37 and 38, however, the movement of the piston 21 is more or less delayed so that the slide 15 on in any case, a rash upwards retains as long as the sleeve 4 is still moving downwards. The load on the engine is large enough when the sleeve 4 has come to a standstill in its downward movement.
If the sleeve 4 now moves upwards again and the piston 21 were in the middle position, the slide 15 would continue to act on the piston 17 in the sense of relieving the load on the engine until the controller 3 is again in the desired position shown.
This entire period of the upward movement of the sleeve 4 would thus represent an overregulation. In reality, at the moment when the sleeve 4 goes up again from its lowest position, the piston 21 is not in its central position, but below.
The slide 15 thus comes to its final position much earlier than if the adjusting piston 21 were not present or if the pivot point 14 were fixed.
At the moment when the slide 15 is in its final position, the piston 21 slowly returns to its center as a result of the pressure of the spring 23 and the leakage. If this happens too slowly, go. the slide 15 downwards out of the final position, which leads to an acceleration of the backward movement of the piston 21.
By adjusting the throttle elements 37 and 38, it is possible to adjust the speed of the piston 21 to the requirements of the regulating process. Should it happen that the slide 15 temporarily goes down from the final position, this does not harm anything, since a relatively rapid upward movement of the sleeve. 4 from the lowest to the debit position indicates that too much has already been relieved.
In any case, it is clear from this that the harmful overregulation of the control device by the piston 21 is greatly reduced or, under certain circumstances, completely avoided.
If the imbalance is caused by failure, the control process is carried out in the opposite sense and in the same way in principle, so that a description of this is superfluous.
If the lever 28 is rotated to the right in order to reduce the setpoint adjustment of the load, the pivot point 11 goes up with the straight guide 27 in that the lever 10 rotates around the joint 9 on the lever 7, which is attached to the sleeve 4 by means of the lever 5 and the handlebar 6 is held.
This shift of the pivot point 11 has the same effect at the moment as a load increase. The same thing then happens with respect to the organs of the servomotor and the return device as previously described Qa, the relief the sleeve 4 goes up a little and the slide 15 only finally comes back into the final position,
when the pointer 8 of the controller 3 has come to rest at a slightly smaller value on the scale 8. If the engine 1 is designed for adjustable speeds, it can be advantageous to combine the power setting device with the device for setting the speed, so that each speed corresponds to a certain power.
Instead of the regulating resistor 19, the regulator 3 can also adjust the filling regulation or the position of the throttle slide of a hydrodynamic coupling or the position of the blades of a hydrodynamic converter.
The regulation conditions of controller 3 may not be the same when the setpoint value is exceeded or not reached. If the value falls below the setpoint, for example, the amount of fuel injected into an internal combustion engine is regulated up to filling 0, the speed changing only slowly;
on the other hand, if the setpoint position is exceeded, the highest filling may be reached very quickly. and the speed drops accordingly quickly. Then like it. be expedient to set the speed of the piston 21 differently for the two directions of movement.
This is done in the simplest way by using a Stufenkol ben, as shown in the figure. Something similar can be achieved by using two springs with different characteristics instead of one spring 23 for returning the adjusting piston 21 to its central position, one of which is used for each of the two directions of movement of the piston 21.
