Elektrische Zündeinrichtung an Feuerwaffen. Bei Feuerwaffen geht man in gewisser Fällen dazu über, die Zündung nicht. durch (las Eindringen eines Schlagbolzens in eine Zündpille der Patrone zu bewirken, sondern in der Patrone einen in einer elektrischen Zündpille befindlichen elektrisch heizbaren Draht vorzusehen und diesen in dem jenigen Augenblick, in dem die Zündung i;

Fig. 4 eine Ansicht eines Details des Zündmechanismus.
Electric ignition device on firearms. In the case of firearms, this is done in certain cases, but not ignition. by (read to bring about the penetration of a firing pin into a squib of the cartridge, but to provide an electrically heatable wire in an electric squib in the cartridge and this at the moment in which the ignition i;
<@ wishes to connect to a power source. The electrical current is fed to a contact pin located in the misalignment head and touching the electrical squib. From the contact pin, the current flows through the heating wire in contact with the squib, and from there it has been passed on to the Na, -se of the cartridge case,
from where it was continued by the contact between the cartridge case and the barrel to the latter, so that the negative pole of the power source could be removed from any point on the weapon through a ground connection.
In the case of electrical ignition devices of this type up to now, it has been shown that the powder sludge adhering to the cartridge case, or even the lubricant, makes the current transfer more difficult, which is also relatively difficult when used large flows still ziindvei, delays inevitable.
The subject of the present invention is now an electrical ignition device aii firearms in which measures are taken which, as the practical tests have shown, ensure a proper flow of current through the electrical detonator of the cartridge.
The invention is characterized in that, in addition to the electrical contact pin, a body is used in the closure head which has elevations which, in the front end position of the closure, penetrate the electrical squib of the cartridge and, together with the insulated, in Lock head under the action of a spring-mounted contact pin .schliessen going through the electric squib for ignition, In the accompanying drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown in FIGS. 1-4; it shows:
1 shows a section through a weapon with electrical ignition, FIG. 2 shows a section through the ignition mechanism, FIG. 3 shows an example of an embodiment of the electrical ignition pill.
Figure 4 is a view of a detail of the ignition mechanism.
In the breechblock 1 of an automatic firearm, the breech 2 slides, which is under the action of a return spring. The tube 4 is inserted into the sealing sleeve 1 by means of a bayonet lock -.
A battery 6 is connected on the one hand to the closure 1 and on the other hand to an ignition pin 7. The firing pin 7 is movably supported in a sleeve 10 made of insulating material in the closure 2.
The firing pin 7 has a bore 8 in which a spring 9 is accommodated, which is supported on a screw connection 10a that is also insulating.
The insulating tube 11 is inserted in a further bore in the closure 2. In 4em insulating tube 11 sits a body 12 which has two cylindrical bores: 13 and 14. Bolts 15 and 16, which are under the action of springs 17 and 18, are mounted in these bores. The pins 19 and 20 prevent bolts 15 and 16 from falling out of the cylindrical body 12. In the closure sleeve 1, a sleeve 21 made of insulating material is inserted in a bore, in which a bolt 22 is arranged.
The Balzen 22 has a bore 23 into which the contact. the battery 6 is inserted. A groove 24 in the locking sleeve 1 is used to guide the bolt 16. The arrangement of the sleeve 2.1 made of insulating Ma material in the locking sleeve 1 is such that the sleeve 21 corresponds to the insulating tube 11 in the foremost position of the lock 2.
Finally, a body 25 is screwed into the closure 2 on the end face, which has elevations 26, as shown in more detail in FIG. 4 represents.
The electrical ignition device of the Pa trone can be constructed, for example, in the manner shown schematically in FIG. A ring 27 is inserted into the cartridge base. In this ring, a further ring 28 made of insulating material is provided, in which the actual ignition pill 2'9 is then arranged. A metal plate 30 lies in front of the squib 29.
The filament 31 is fastened on the one hand to the metal plate 30 and on the other hand to the ring 2: 7. The mode of operation of the device shown is briefly as follows: When the closure is proceeding, the bolt 16 slides in the groove 24. When the closure 2 arrives in its before derste position and is thus locked, the bolt 16 rests on the bolt. 22 and thus establishes the contact of the firing pin 7 with one pole of the battery.
In the locked position of the lock, the firing pin 7 hits the plate 30 once and penetrates, as this is preferably made of soft material, into it, while on the other hand the protrusions 216 penetrate the ring 27 of the electric squib The electrical circuit for ignition is thus closed, with perfect contact being ensured in that the current, after passing the filament 31, flows via the ring 27 to the elevations 26 and thus into the closure 2.
The onward flow of the current from the breech 2 to the mass of the weapon or the closing sleeve 1 and thus back to the battery 6 is encountered. but not a problem, as there is always sufficient contact between the breech and the weapon housing. Tests with the proposed device have shown that ignition delays or even ignition failures no longer occur.
