Method and device for refilling ballpoint pens. The invention relates to a method and a device for refilling ball pens with a tubular reservoir for the writing paste that can be opened at the top. The procedure is characterized by this. that after opening the closure in the reservoir a filling tube sticks up to the outflow channel located at the lower end and the filling paste is pressed in through the free end protruding at the top while gradually lifting the filling tube.
The device for carrying out this process is characterized by a pressing device designed to receive the writing paste and a filling tube that can be connected to one end and the other end of which is suitable for insertion into the open reservoir of the ballpoint pen up to its outflow channel Form has. The invention makes it possible.
in the case of ballpoint pens of the type mentioned at the outset, without further refilling of writing pastes, without air inclusions forming in the reservoir that could question the outflow of the writing paste when writing. It is therefore no longer necessary to give such pens out of hand for refilling. The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawing, for example. The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the device, inserted into a ballpoint pen.
After unscrewing the usual closure capsule, not shown in the drawing, from the thread cc, the tubular reservoir of the ballpoint pen a is open at the top, so that, as shown in the drawing, the Füllröhr chen b can be inserted from above into this reservoir, namely up to the outflow channel a: located at the lower end of the reservoir, for which purpose the filling tube is provided with a correspondingly offset neck b at the lower end.
The upper end of the filling tube b, which protrudes from the reservoir, is connected to a nipple b; provided, its nut thread to the thread of the approach c, a pressing device containing the writing paste. fits, as such in the form of a squeezable tube c in the drawing is Darge.
By squeezing out the tube c, the writing paste in it is conveyed through the hole in the filling tube b to the tip a of the pen, with the air previously in the filling tube b between the outer wall of the filling tube and the inner wall of the reservoir upwards and can escape from the outside so that no air pockets are formed in the reservoir itself.
As soon as the writing paste reaches the lower end of the filling tube, it initially spreads in the outflow channel a. and exerts an upward pressure on the lower end of the filling tube, with the result that the filling tube and the tube c gradually lift out of the reservoir in accordance with the filling of the Re reservoir. This lifting out can, however, also be carried out or supported emotionally by hand. If the reservoir is filled to the desired height, then the tube c is screwed out of the nipple b2 and closed by screwing on a caps sel.
The filling tube b is then lifted out, and the sealing capsule of the ballpoint pen, which is not presented, is slipped over this to seal the reservoir and screwed onto the thread a1. The pen is then ready to write.
Instead of the tube c, of course, any other suitable pressing device containing the writing paste can be used, e.g. B. a soft rubber container, the spout of which is closable to the filling tube b, the connector b2 of the latter not necessarily a screw nipple, like the one according to the drawing, needs to be, but deviating from this z. B. can only be designed as a conical extension of the pipe channel. The pressing device can z. B. also be designed in the manner of an injection syringe, wherein the cannula is designed as a filling tube and be measured.
Here, too, the connection piece, as is customary with cannulas, can be designed either with a female thread or with a merely conical sleeve shape.
The filling tube can be of the same thickness over its entire length, the outer diameter of course having to be smaller than the clear diameter of the outflow channel a2 so that the filling tube can actually be pushed into the ballpoint pen up to the lowest end.
