Dry cleaning equipment that works with volatile chemical solvents. The present invention relates to a so-called dry cleaning device, which works with volatile chemical solvents and which accommodates the work material in the working drum, which is enclosed in a housing which is connected to a distillation apparatus, from which the solvent is released by its own falls into the drum housing.
The novelty of the invention is that the drum housing is built on a box base, in which an electric motor with speed change gear and a fan are accommodated, which drives the shaft of the drum. the suction opening on the upper part of the housing is connected, the whole thing in such a way, c,
ass the drum for cleaning the work material located in the same can be set in rotation without Ge and for the subsequent drying of the work good with the help of the fan, the vapors of the solvent can be sucked out of the housing.
In the drawing, an execution example of the subject invention is Darge provides.
Fig. 1 is a front view of the same, Fig. 2 is partially an axial vertical section, partially, a side view (without Distillat.ionseinriehtung).
On a base 1 designed as a box, a horizontally cylindrical housing 2 with a shoulder 2a serving as a shaft bearing casing is built up. In the housing 2, a drum 3 with perforated Wan applications made of wire mesh or perforated sheet metal is arranged, the wall on the rear end (Fig. 2 left) with a shoulder in the housing 2a, continuously open hollow shaft 4 and on the front end wall with the help of a shaft journal 4a is mounted in a bearing 5 which is mounted in the front end wall 2b of the housing 2.
The diameter of the drum 3 is greater than its length; In practice, it is chosen so large that at a relatively low speed a large centrifugal force is achieved for the work item contained therein.
The drum 3 is divided into two or more chambers, each of which is accessible from the outside through a door 2c arranged on the housing wall 2b and an opening on the front end wall of the working drum that can be closed by means of a cover 3a. The rear end of the shaft 4 is closed by means of a removable cover 4b during the cleaning process.
To suck off the solvent vapors or to dry the contents of the drum, the suction line 6 of an exhaustor 7 is connected to the top of the housing, which is housed in the nern of the base 1 and can be driven by a special electric motor 8.
A reversing motor 9, which is also housed in the base 1 and is controlled by a switch (not shown), with an attached changeover mechanism 9a, is used to drive the shaft 4 of the drum with the aid of a belt (or chain) drive 10, 10a , 10b.
For emptying the housing 2 from the liquid solvent medium, an emptying line 11 is connected at the bottom of the housing 2, which is lockable by means of a valve 12 and since downward outside the base 1 in a vessel 13 for separating solid objects, such as buttons , Needles, etc., from the solution liquid is performed. From the discharge line 14 of the vessel 13, the solution liquid reaches the collecting tank 15 of a distillation apparatus 16 and is heated there by a heating coil 17 by steam or electrically.
The vapors of the solvent rise through a line 18 and are liquefied in a cooling pipe coil 19 which is cooled with water. As it emerges from the pipe coil 19, the condensed solution is directed against a sight glass plate 20 which is illuminated from the back and which shows the distillation process and the level of the solvent:
in the same receiving reservoir 21 allowed to control continuously. 22 is the cooling water inlet line, 23 the cooling water outlet line, 24 a liquid level indicator and 25 a thermometer. The pipe 26 connected to the bottom of the loading container 21, which can be closed by means of a valve 27, leads the solvent out of the container 21 with a gradient into the lower part of the housing 2 when it is opened.
After filling the goods to be cleaned, e.g. B. clothes, in the drum compartments and locking the doors 3a and 2e, the cleaning (washing and drying) can begin in a single operation. First, a certain amount of solvent tel is introduced into the housing 2, then. the drum rotates slowly (36 / min.) from alternating direction of rotation.
After a certain time, the dirty solution is transferred to the heating container 15 by opening the valve 12, the housing 2 via the separation vessel 13 for solid objects, the working material is rinsed with clean solution and the solution is removed with faster rotations of the drum hurled. After a certain period of time (10 to 15 minutes) the cover 4b of the hollow shaft 4 is removed, the exhaustor 7 is put into operation and the speed of the drum is increased very much.
The air that is still in the housing and is saturated with solvent vapors is sucked off and discharged outside. Through this drying process, the work item is completely dried and fresh air flows through it. The whole process takes about an hour on average.
In the distiller, the solvent is cleaned in a known manner and kept ready again in space 21 for another operation. The residue from the solvent is collected in a drawer 28 with a liquid seal (not shown) of the distillation apparatus.
In the cleaning device shown, a pump for transferring the solvent from the distillation apparatus into the drum housing 2 and a filter for filtering the solvent before the one occurs in the housing 2 is unnecessary.
In contrast to known dry cleaning devices, removing the items to be cleaned from the drum housing and reinserting them in a centrifuge for dehumidifying and changing to drying is not necessary, which is why the device and handling are simplified and the work cycle shortened becomes.
