Drain for liquid containers, especially for sinks, wash basins, troughs and the like. The invention relates to a run for liquid containers, in particular for sinks, sinks, troughs and the like, with a body inserted in the outlet opening with a sieve cover.
In the case of sinks, washbasins, troughs or other containers, there is very often the need to let water or other liquids rise to a certain height in the container. Only the amount of liquid that exceeds the desired level should be able to flow off through the drain. To achieve this purpose, you can see a standpipe that slips over the sieve cover in known processes and can be removed again to enable the liquid to run.
For this purpose, the sieve cover is cantilevered and connected to a cross of the body by means of a pin, so that an annular gap remains free between the edge of the sieve cover and the body, into which the appropriately designed end of the standpipe can be lifted so that the standpipe can be lifted can not leave its place unintentionally in order to avoid liq sigkeitsverluste in the container.
The disadvantage of this known drainage device is that a relatively wide annular space around the sieve cover is necessary to introduce the standpipe into the upper part of the body, through which objects of such a size can get into the drain that the sieve cover does not let through would, so that when the standpipe is out of operation, the effect of the sieve cover is at least partially made illusory.
This disadvantage is avoided in the process according to the invention in that the sieve cover is under the action of a compression spring and can be pushed into the body in such a way that when a:
Standpipe in the body of this receives a seat within said body and a liquid-tight closure brings about and liquid can only get into the drain through the upper opening of the standpipe, the whole thing in such a way that with the standpipe removed, the width of the annular gap between the edge of the sieve cover and the inner wall of the body is not larger than the diameter of the holes in the sieve cover.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, and specifically shows: FIG. 1 a vertical section through the sequence.
Fig. 2 is a plan view, Fig. 3 is a section along the line III-III in Fig. 1 and Fig. 4 is a vertical section through a standpipe.
The drain has a tubular body 1 provided with an external thread serving to connect a siphon or a drain pipe, the upper end of which is widened to form a flange 2, which is intended for use in the outflow opening of a liquid container B. In the lower end of this well-known body 1 there is a cross with a bore 4 located in the body axis, which serves as a guide for a screw bolt 5.
The end of the screw bolt 5 lying above the cross 3 is connected to a sieve-like cover 6 which is under the action of a compression spring 7 resting on its lower surface and on the cross 3. One on the below the cross 3 be sensitive end of the screw bolt 5 on screwed nut 8 holds the screen cover 6 and the bolt 5 in the gezeich designated position in FIG. It makes it possible to change the height of the sieve cover 6 above the cross 3 and set such that the edge of the sieve cover falls into the plane of the bottom of the container B.
The standpipe 9 according to FIG. 4 has a lower conical part 10 which is intended for use in the upper, likewise conical part 11 of the bore of the body 1. This conical part 11 ends at a shoulder 12 which, during the axial displacement of the sieve cover 6, forms a stop for the latter. A cylindrical part 13 adjoins this shoulder 12, inside which the spring 7 compressed into the body 1 by the sieve cover 6 on the basis of the use of the standpipe 9 is located.
The pressure of the spring 7 and the weight of the standpipe 9 are now matched to each other in such a way that when the standpipe 9 is placed on the sieve cover 6, the latter, while compressing the spring 7, moves in the axial direction until the conical part 10 of the standpipe opens rests on the conical part 11 of the body 1 and forms a liquid-tight seal, so that only that amount of liquid can escape from the container B which passes through the upper opening into the standpipe.
The conicity of part 10 of the stand pipe 9 and the corresponding part 11 of the bore of the body 1 is now selected such that when the screen cover 6 is in its rest position shown in Fig. 1, between its edge and the inner wall of the body 1 only such a narrow gap remains free that larger components than can be passed through the holes in the sieve cover cannot get into the drain.
Compared to the known embodiment with: has the fixed sieve cover. the embodiment described still has the further advantage that without removing the sieve cover and the upper part of the bore of the body 1 can be cleaned by pressing the sieve cover inward.
