Device for drying goods. The subject of this invention is a device for drying goods, e.g. B. of soap, pasta or similar products, ie which device a stream of dry air acts several times on the material moved by means of a conveyor.
Mostly so far with such devices, the dry air is drawn through the drying room, being heated by a c-inen air heater either outside the drying room or arranged so that the air enters the drying room first is passed through the air heater.
This type of drying has several disadvantages. In particular, it is not possible. adjust the temperature of the air and thus its humidity deficit at every point in the drying room to the goods to be dried.
Furthermore, it is necessary to introduce the air into the drying room at a relatively high temperature if one wants to achieve sufficient drying performance, since all the heat available for the drying process is supplied by the air entering the drying room got to.
I> ureh the device according to the invention are intended to avoid these disadvantages. that means are provided for heating the dry between different passes through the material. Air heaters are provided for the purpose of cooling the flow of dry air between different passages through the material.
The drawing shows a schematic section through an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
1 is the drying chamber, in which air-permeable conveyor belts 2 are stored in a known manner. These conveyor belts convey the dry goods - each in the direction of the arrows a, while a stream of dry air flows through the dry goods several times in the direction of the arrows b. Air heaters 4 are built between the conveyor belts, the z. B. can be heated by steam, hot water or electrically. These air heaters allow the air to be brought to the desired temperature before it passes through the drying material on each belt.
Depending on the material to be dried, the air is guided in a closed circuit and fresh air is only supplied to it according to the evaporated moisture through flaps (not shown), with a corresponding amount of moisture-saturated air having to be expelled. It karm. but also, if this should be expedient, only work with fresh air; in this case the subdivision of the air heater proves to be particularly economical.
Instead of conveyor belts, the goods to be dried could also be conveyed through the drying chamber by means of chains or hanging on rods. The individual air heaters do not necessarily have to be arranged between the conveyor belts. It is easily possible to set it up outside the drying chamber. It is only essential that the individual conveyor belts, or groups of conveyor belts, receive the properly heated air.
The dry air flow could also be heated between different passes through the material by adding warm air, whereby instead of the air heater between the conveyor belts channels would have to be installed for the supply of the additional warm air.
The dry air flow can also flow through the drying chamber in the opposite direction as shown.
