Am andern Ende des Metallstreifens c2 ist das mit einem Kontaktstift e4 versehene Kabel e3 befestigt Die beiden Kabel sind genügend lang;
Question and answer game. The present invention relates to a question and answer game with sheets of cards on which several pairs of questions and answers are kept ent and which are recorded by a frame having an electric power source.
Question and answer games with electrical signaling device are known. These usually consist of a box with the following features: A dry battery in connection with an incandescent lamp and two contact plugs, and a card with a number of exposed contacts at regular intervals. These contacts are connected to each other in pairs on the underside of the card by insulated wires.
The circuit (is closed as soon as one of the contact pairs with the two plugs is touched, and the lamp lights up.
The box also contains a number of sheets or cards, one half of which has questions and the other half of which the corresponding answers are printed. The mutual position of questions and answers that belong together is the same on all sheets and is determined by the arrangement of the contacts on the above-mentioned garden. The sheets have a hole next to each question and each answer.
These holes are arranged so that they leave all contact points of the garden free. As soon as one of these sheets is placed over the card, the player has to make the lamp glow by touching one of the contacts with one of the connectors and one of the contacts associated with the correct answer with the other connector thus closes the circuit.
However, these games have the following shortcomings: After the pairs of question and answer contacts are connected to one another in a fixed and unchangeable arrangement, all question and answer sheets must of course adhere to the same arrangement: so that the answer to every question, as well as the question itself must always be in the same place on all sheets.
Since the number of pairs of questions and answers can only be limited, over time the respective places of the pairs of questions and answers are imprinted on the memory, which means that the game loses its appeal and educational value considerably.
The present invention seeks to remedy these shortcomings. Sheets of cards are provided on which a plurality of pairs of questions and answers are shown and which are interchangeably arranged in a frame with an electric power source:
are. The pairs of questions and answers presented in words or pictures are invisibly connected to each other on the map sheets by an electrical conductor, whereby the mutual position of questions and answers that belong together varies from garden to garden, the whole thing in such a way,
that when connecting one pole of the power source to the representation of a question with the other pole of the corre sponding representation of the answer, the circuit is closed, whereby an incandescent lamp arranged in the frame is made to light up.
Metal foils are preferably used for the electrical connections. The card sheet preferably consists of two sheets, of which the upper sheet has the lettering, images and the like, while the lower sheet, on which the electrical connections are located, can be glued to the upper sheet.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. Show it:
1 shows a top view of a frame serving to take on the map sheets, FIG. 2 shows the upper surface of a map sheet with representations and with metal foils arranged therein, and FIG. 3 shows a map sheet consisting of two sheets with metal foils embedded in between .
The frame a with its support plate cal serves to hold the card sheets. In. an electric dry cell battery b is arranged in one corner of the frame a.
At pole b2 there is a. Cable c attached with a plug cl. A metal strip c 'is attached to the pole b1, on which a mount d is arranged, which serves to accommodate an electric incandescent lamp dl.
The cable e3 provided with a contact pin e4 is attached to the other end of the metal strip c2. The two cables are sufficiently long;
in order to insert their contact pins into every existing hole within the frame u. If the two connectors e1 and e4 are electrically connected, the current from the battery goes through the incandescent lamp dl, which then lights up.
The circuit is closed by means of the metal foils located in the card sheet, provided that the two contact pins are inserted into the correct contact points.
The metal foils g1 are provided on one side with a paper overlay, where they are isolated from one another at intersections g2 within the map sheet. The ends of the metal foils have contact holes g which correspond to the contact holes g in the card sheet into which the two contact pins cl and c4 are inserted.
ITm to play with the question and answer game, the card sheet is placed on the support plate d of the frame a. For this purpose, the map sheet shown in FIG. 2 is used, which shows on its left side from top to bottom the designation of a number of pieces of furniture of the styles listed. Within the map sheet, the pieces of furniture with the corresponding style designation are connected to one another by the metal foils g1 at the contact holes g.
For example, the question is now asked: "Which of the pictures represents a Chippendale chair?" The person questioned now places the contact pin c4 in the.
Contact hole g at. Word "Chippendale" and the other contact pin cl in one of the contact holes g in the furniture pictures. If the correct piece of furniture is now inserted, in this case the Chippendale chair, the circuit of battery b closes and the light bulb lights up. Conversely, the question can be asked:
"@Vas. For a furniture style is this picture?" The person questioned now puts the contact pin e1 in the contact hole g of this furniture picture and the contact pin c4-in one of the contact holes g in the style names. If the light bulb dl lights up, the correct name is:
Style has been met.
The card sheets can also consist of a single sheet, on the underside of which the metal foils are attached, for example by gluing. Instead of the foil strips, wire could also be used, or the electrical conductors could be produced by a metal spraying process. -
