      Zusatzpatent    zum Hauptpatent Nr. 244608.         Verfahren    zur Herstellung     eines        Azofarbstoffes.       Es wurde     gefunden,    dass man zu einem  neuen     Azofarbstoff    gelangt, wenn man den       diazotierten        Monoazofarbstoff    der Formel

    mit     1-N-Phenyl-(4"-methyl-4'-phenogy)-          aminonaphthalin-8-sulfonoäure    kuppelt.  



  Der     neue    Farbstoff     bildet    ein dunkles       Pulver,    das sich in Wasser mit blauer Farbe  löst und Wolle aus schwach saurem Bade  in echten blauen Tönen färbt.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Der     durch        Diazotieren    von 85 Teilen       1-Aminobenzol-8        sulfonsäure    und Kuppeln  mit 29 Teilen     1-Aminenaphthalin    erhältliche       Aminoazofarbstoff    wird wie üblich     diazo-          tiert.    Die     Diazoverbindung        wird    mit 200  Teilen Methylalkohol aasgeschlämmt und  unterhalb 0  C     in        eine    Lösung von 90 Teilen  1- N -     Phenyl    - (4"-methyl-4'-phenogy)

  -amino-         naphthalin-8-sulfonsäure    in 1000     Teilen     Methylalkohol     eingetragen.    Nach einigen       Stunden        wird    der gebildete Farbstoff     isoliert,          in        verdünnter        Natriumcarbonatlösung    gelöst  und     in    der Wärme mit     Natriumchloridlösung     gefällt, abgesaugt, mit     verdünnter        Natrium-          chlori.dlösung        gewaschen    und getrocknet.

  <I> Example: </I> The aminoazo dye obtainable by diazotizing 85 parts of 1-aminobenzene-8 sulfonic acid and coupling with 29 parts of 1-amine naphthalene is diazotized as usual. The diazo compound is slurried with 200 parts of methyl alcohol and below 0 C in a solution of 90 parts of 1- N - phenyl - (4 "-methyl-4'-phenogy)

  -amino- naphthalene-8-sulfonic acid entered in 1000 parts of methyl alcohol. After a few hours, the dye formed is isolated, dissolved in dilute sodium carbonate solution and precipitated with sodium chloride solution while warm, filtered off with suction, washed with dilute sodium chloride solution and dried.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azofarb- stoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man den diazotierten Monoazofarbstoff der Formel EMI0001.0048 mit 1- N - Phenyl - (4" - methyl - 4' - phenogy) - aminonaphthalin-8-sulfönsäure kuppelt. Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein dunkles Pulver, das sich in Wasser mit blauer Farbe löst und Wolle aus schwach saurem Bade in echten blauen Tönen färbt.
