Verschlu¯ an Gefϯen, Leitungen usw.
Closure on vessels, lines, etc.
The main patent relates to a closure on vessels, lines, etc. with two coaxially displaceable, circular closure lids, the edges of which are designed as sliding surfaces for the seal made of elastic material, which is the same in cross section, which seal is arranged in such a way that that during the closing process, due to the displacement of the cover, the seal slides on the sliding surfaces, with a deformation of the sealing material occurring with a simultaneous change in the diameter of the seal and this consequently coming to rest on the wall end to be closed.
The present invention relates to a further embodiment of the
The main patent-protected closure and consists in the fact that the upper closure cap is provided with an inwardly flanged edge, which rests on the edge of the wall end to be closed, and a sloping surface adjoins the beading, while the lower closure cap is in the The inside of the wall to be closed is located and with its lower part forms the counter-inclined surface to the inclined surface of the upper closure cap.
The drawing shows, partly in section, an embodiment of the closure according to the invention on the to be closed
Vessel 1, consisting of the upper lid 2 and the lower lid 3 '.
The upper cover 2 rests on the upper edge with a bead 4 directed inwards at its lower edge; 5 of the vessel. The sloping surface 6 adjoins the flanging 4, which extends from top to bottom and radially inward and rests against the sealing cord 7.
The lower cover 3 has its very flat surface 3a in the same direction as the cover itself, i.e. H. from top inside to bottom outside. The inclined surface 3a forms the counter-inclined surface to the inclined surface 6 of the upper cover 2 and also rests against the sealing sonur 7 from below.
At the level of the edge zone of the inclined surface 6 of the cover 2, the cover 3 has a short, cylindrical shape. Paragraph 8, which is used to guide the cover and to stiffen the cover 3 hessere. To stiffen the two covers, a circular corrugation 9 respectively serves. 10.
A screw, the nut of which is connected to a ball 11 serving as a handle, is used for the relative movement of the two covers 2 and 3. The spherical shape is more suitable for the present case of small test forces than a lever shape with which the cover can easily be deformed as a result of excessive stress.
By shifting the two covers 2 and 3, for. B. after mutual distance by turning the ball 11, the seal 7 is released, while when turning the Eugel to the left, the covers 2 and 3 are brought closer to each other, whereby the seal 7 due to the inclination of the surfaces 3a and 6 against the Vessel wall is pressed.
This closure described is simple and effective, allows inexpensive manufacture and results in a pleasing external shape.
