Kaffeemaschine.
Coffee machine. The invention relates to a coffee machine in which the preparation of the coffee takes place with the creation of a vacuum in one of two superimposed, with a steam generator in connection, by a closure miteinan the connected and hermetically sealed NEN vessels, between which a coffee powder container receiving support body is mounted in such a way,
that the upper vessel contains the extracting liquid to be brought to the boil by the steam flowing in, while the vacuum created in the lower vessel sucks the extracting liquid through the coffee powder and takes the finished coffee drink, with steam guiding elements between the lower and upper vessel which make it possible optionally and in any gradation,
that the steam completely or partially breaks down the coffee powder before extraction or that it can be fed into the extraction liquid contained in the upper vessel.
An example embodiment of the coffee machine according to the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the coffee machine. Furthermore, individual representations show on a larger scale than Fig. 1:
FIG. 2 shows the steam diversion elements in a longitudinal section along the line HI-III in FIG. 4, FIG. 3 shows the same in a longitudinal section along the line IV-IV in FIG. 5, FIG. 4 shows the cross section along the line I-1 in FIG , Fig. 5 shows the cross section along the line II-II in Fig. 2,
6 shows the upper end of the guide tube, in a longitudinal section along the line V-V in FIG. 7, FIG. 7 shows the cross section along the line VI-VI in FIG. 6.
8 shows the scale of the upper end cover in plan view.
The steam generator 5, equipped with connector pins 1, heating elements 2, 3 and central stand 4, carries the sealing ring 7 and the conical socket 8 on the upper edge 6, in which the vessel 10 provided with the hollow cone 9 and made of glass, porcelain or the like sits. On the free edge 11 of the vessel 10 lies with its sealing ring 12 the support body 13 made of metal, which receives the coffee container 14 designed as a sieve and provided with the central funnel-shaped passage 15.
The handle 16 is also attached to the support body 13, while the spout 17 with the screw cap 18 is located on the opposite side. The upper wide inner edge 19 of the support body 13, on which the sieve 14 lies, is provided with the sealing ring 20 and runs upwards into the holder 21, in which the glass, porcelain or the like also has a hollow cone 22 existing upper vessel 23 rests on the sealing ring 20. The lid 24 closes the vessel 23 at the top.
The central stand 4: merges at its upper end into the pipe socket 25, which still has the steam inlet openings 27, 28 and the external thread 29 at the upper end within the cavity 26 of the hollow cone 9. On the pipe socket 25, the end edge of which is slightly beveled, the valve and steam guide tube 30, hereinafter referred to as "guide tube", screwed on, whereby to achieve a vapor-tight connection between the hollow cone head 32 and the guide tube 30 on the latter a spring body 31 made of metal be fastened,
which presses itself firmly onto the surface of the hollow cone head 32 when the guide tube 30 is screwed in. Incidentally, this sealing can also be achieved in that a sealing ring made of metal or non-metal is inserted into the annular groove 33 of the hollow cone head 32. The guide tube 30 extends to the cover 24, on which it is fastened
and it has the two steam exit points 44 and 45 close to its upper end (FIGS. 1, 6 and 7).
The valve piston 34 is rotatably mounted in the guide tube 30 and can be controlled by the control rod 35. It has the transverse bore 38 corresponding to the steam outlet openings 36, 37 of the guide tube 30 as well as the two vertical steam channels 39 and 40.
Immediately above the valve piston 34, the steam bypass body 41 is attached in the guide tube 30, wel cher has the steam guide channels 42 and 43 cooperating with the steam guide channels 39 and 40. In addition, at the upper end of the control punch 35 a further, not absolutely necessary valve piston 46 is attached, which controls the steam outlet from the openings 44 and 45 of the guide tube 30.
The control rod 35 is operated by a switch 47 arranged above the cover 24, the lug 48 of which moves over a scale 49. In order to achieve an airtight seal, the control rod 35 runs in a seal 50 in the cover 24. A bell 51 attached to the cover 24 extends over the hollow cone 22 to close to the bottom of the vessel 23. A pressure relief valve 52 is also embedded in the cover 24, which can be connected to both an acoustic and an optical signal.
The coffee maker described is used as follows: After the steam generator 5 is about half up to two thirds filled with water, the vessel 10 is placed over the zen tral stand 4 in the version 8, the support body 13 and sieve 14 with the Put on the coffee powder and put the vessel 23, which is about half full with water, into the holder 21.
Then the cover 24 with the guide tube 30 attached to it and the bell 51 is inserted in such a way that the latter comes to rest over the hollow cone 22 and the internal thread of the guide tube 30 guided through the funnel 15 of the coffee strainer 14 sits on the pipe socket 25 of the stand 4 . By rotating the cover 24, the peripheral surface of which is knurled, the guide tube 30 is screwed into the pipe socket 25 until the cover 24 rests firmly on the upper edge 53 of the vessel 23.
As a result, the seals by means of the sealing rings 7- 1.2 and 20 as well as inside through the spring body 31 become effective. So that the whole of the steam generator 5, the vessel 10 .. the support body 13, the coffee container 14 and the vessel 23 existing interior space is airtight (Fig. 1).
In the example shown, the pointer 48 of the switch 47 is set to "Egpress" (FIG. 8), that is, the steam guiding elements have the positions. as shown in FIGS. 1 to 7.
After switching on the electrical heater; the steam generated in the steam generator therefore flows through the hollow section 9 and the openings 27 and 28 into the pipe socket 25 and from there through the transverse bore 38 and the openings 36, 37 made in the guide tube 30 (Fix. 5) into the lower vessel 10, pulls through the sieve 14 and the coffee powder into the hollow cone 22 and is guided through the bell 51 to the bottom of the vessel 23, where the water swallows it, thereby heating the latter to the boiling point.
As soon as the water boils in the vessel 23, the excess steam escapes through the pressure relief valve 52, where it sounds an acoustic signal. The heating is now switched off.
If there is still steam, it condenses and a vacuum is created in the lower vessel, into which the boiling hot water is now sucked from the upper vessel 23 under the bell 51 into the hollow cone 22, so that it falls under the bell 51 flows into the hollow cone 22, flows over the coffee powder and extracts it and collects in the lower vessel as a finished coffee drink. Once this process is over,
then the screw cap 18 can be removed and the coffee can be removed through the spout 17 as required. Since the coffee powder was already largely unlocked by the steam passing through it, that is to say on its way from the outlet openings 36, 37 into the hollow cone 22, a particularly strong, rich drink was created, so-called express coffee, what. the pointer 48 has indicated by its position on the scale 49.
The process is different if the switch 47 has been rotated by 90 and set to the point marked "-Aroma". In this case, the control rod 35, which is firmly connected to the switch 47, has also rotated the two pistons 34 and 46 by 90, so that the two openings 36 and 37 in the guide tube 30 were closed, the guide channels 39 and 40 of the piston 34 with the guide channels 42, 43 of the bypass body 41 form a free passage into the guide tube 30,
while at the upper end of the latter the two steam outlet positions 44 and 45 have been opened. Now the steam flows directly, i.e. without flowing through the coffee powder beforehand, from the pipe socket 25 through the guide channels 39, 40, 42 and 43 into the guide tube 30 and through the openings 44 and 45 between the hollow cone 22 and bell 51 into the water of the upper vessel 23.
The cooking and extraction process that follows has already been described. However, since the coffee powder does not flow through the steam, so it was not previously opened, the result is a less strong, but very aromatic drink, corresponding to the scale label "Aroma".
In addition to these two extremes "Express" and "Aroma", any gradations can also be achieved through inter mediate positions of the switch 47, 48 and the corresponding setting of the steam guide elements; For example, when setting the pointer 48 on the scale 49 (center), one half of the steam flows through the half-open openings 36, 37 into the lower vessel 10 and through the coffee powder, the other half through the half-open guide channels 39, 40 ,
42 and 43 and the openings 44 and 45 is fed directly into the water of the upper vessel 23. The result is a medium-strength, but still aromatic coffee drink.
In other intermediate positions of the pointer 48 and the Dampfleitorgane one component is more prominent than the other, whereby the finest gradations in content and taste of the finished Ge beverage can be achieved in the simplest and most reliable way.
Another very important advantage is the avoidance of any loss of flavor. The entire coffee machine remains airtight until the finished beverage is removed for the first time. Nevertheless, it can be dismantled after use by simply unscrewing the guide tube 30 from the pipe socket 25. and cleaned. The heating of the steam generator 5 can be followed by any heat source, in addition to electricity, gas, alcohol, etc.
