Turbo compressor with cooling by water injection. The invention relates to a turbo compressor with cooling by water injection into the working medium. It is characterized by a ring-shaped chamber surrounding the compressor, through which at least part of the working fluid to be compressed flows from one intermediate stage to the next and into which the cooling water is injected and thereby atomized in the working medium.
The invention is explained below with reference to the Ausfüh shown in the drawing approximately example, in which Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through a turbo compressor ter and fing. FIG. 2 shows a cross-section along the line II-II of FIG.
A gaseous agent is fed to the turbo-compressor 1 through the line 2, which is continued in the compressed state through the line 3. The rotor 4, which is driven via the clutch 5 by a machine not shown, has a low-pressure blade 6 and a high-pressure blade 7. From the guide blade ring 8 of an intermediate stage of the compressor, the working medium flows into the annular channel 9 of the compressor annular surrounding chamber 10.
The channel 9 serves as a diffuser for the working medium emerging from the blade ring 8. In terms of construction, the chamber 10 is divided into two halves according to the axial housing division along the flan's 18 and 19. In the chamber 10 a number of nozzles 11 and 12 are introduced evenly distributed over the order. The nozzles 11 are connected to a ring line 13 and the nozzles 12 to a ring line 14. The ring line 13 is directly connected to the supply line 16 via a closing element 15 and the ring line 14.
This feed line in turn has a control element 17.
With the help of the control element 17, the passage of cooling water from the line 16 into the two ring lines 13 and 14 and thus to the nozzles 11 and 12 can be freege ben. If reduced cooling is desired, for example with a lower amount of compression, the ring line 13 and thus the nozzles 11 can be switched off from the cooling water supply by the closing element 15. The cooling water is then only injected into the working medium through the nozzles 12 - which are in turn evenly distributed over the circumference of the compressor.
When flowing through the mixing chamber 10, the water injected into the working medium is finely atomized as a result of the turbulence and at least partially evaporated in the process. The evaporation not only cools the working fluid, but also increases its volume.
Due to the ring-shaped arrangement of the cooling chamber, some of the housing walls can also be cooled. The housing can be made of cast iron and the cooling hammer. Made of sheet metal. The connection between the housing walls and the chamber walls is then expediently produced by welding.
Through.- the. Cooling chamber can only be felt through a subset of the work to be compressed, while another subset flows directly from one intermediate stage to the next, bypassing the cooling chamber.
