Jouet à usages multiples. L'objet de l'invention est un jouet à usages multiples qui comporte un corps da révolution ayant un plan de symétrie per pendiculaire, à son axe de révolution et com portant une gorge médiane séparant deux parties cylindriques surmontées chacune d'un cône.
Ce corps peut être percé axialement afin qu'il puisse recevoir en son centre la tige d'un bouton; on peut alors s'en servir comme d'une toupie.
Au moyen d'une ficelle enroulée dans la gorge on en fera un jouet semblable à celui connu sous le nom de yoyo et si la gorge a des flancs inclinés relativement à son fond, on peut s'en servir comme du jouet connu sous le nom de diabolo.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du jouet. La fig. 1 est une coupe par un plan pas sant par l'axe de révolution.
La fig. 2 en est une vue de côté dans l'un de ses usages, et la fig. 3 une vue de côté dans un second usage.
La fig. 4 fait voir comment on peut s'en servir d'une autre manière.
Le jouet représenté en fig. 1 possède un corps de révolution ayant un plan de symé trie perpendiculaire à l'axe X-X. Le corps comporte une gorge 10, deux parties cylin driques 11 et 12 et deux parties coniques 13 et 14. Il est en outre prévu des forages 15 qui sont à égale distance de l'axe X-X et parallèles à ce dernier. A part cela, un des cônes est percé à partir de son sommet et suivant son axe d'un trou borgne 16.
Pour se servir du jouet autrement encore, on passe une ficelle dans les forages 15 et, après avoir fait tourner le corps de révolution quelques fois autour de son axe, on peut, par une traction exercée de chaque côté du corps par les ficelles 19, provoquer sa rotation. Celle-ci ne s'arrêtera pas lorsque la torsion de la ficelle aura disparu; le corps aura, alors, emmagasiné suffisamment de force vive pour tordre la ficelle dans l'autre sens, si bien qu'une traction réitérée permettra de le faire revenir en arrière et ainsi de suite.
Selon l'usage montré en fig. ,'3, le corps de révolution sert de jouet connu sous le nom de yoyo. Pour ce faire, on a enroulé dans la gorge 10 une ficelle ayant en bout une boucle dans laquelle passe le noyau du jouet. L'autre bout de la ficelle est tenu à la main et les impulsions données au corps de révolu tion pour augmenter un peu l'effet de la gra vité, le feront tomber en tournant jusqu'à ce que la ficelle soit tendue. La force vive ac quise suffira pour enrouler à nouveau la ficelle en sens inverse et faire remonter le corps de révolution jusque dans la main du joueur.
Pour se servir du corps de révolution comme d'une toupie, on le pose sur le som met du cône qui n'est pas percé et, après avoir enroulé une ficelle dans la gorge 10, o-n peut, en le tenant au moyen d'un bouton 18 dont on a introduit la tige dans le forage axial 16 du corps de révolution, donner au corps de révolution une impulsion qui lui per mettra de tourner tout en restant en équilibre sur son sommet.
Multipurpose toy. The object of the invention is a multipurpose toy which comprises a body of revolution having a perpendicular plane of symmetry, to its axis of revolution and comprising a median groove separating two cylindrical parts each surmounted by a cone.
This body can be drilled axially so that it can receive the stem of a button at its center; we can then use it as a top.
By means of a string coiled in the throat it will be made into a toy similar to the one known as a yoyo and if the throat has sloping sides relatively to its bottom, it can be used as the toy known as diabolo.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the toy. Fig. 1 is a section through a plane not sant by the axis of revolution.
Fig. 2 is a side view in one of its uses, and FIG. 3 a side view in a second use.
Fig. 4 shows how it can be used in another way.
The toy shown in fig. 1 has a body of revolution having a plane of symmetry perpendicular to the X-X axis. The body comprises a groove 10, two cylindrical parts 11 and 12 and two conical parts 13 and 14. In addition, holes 15 are provided which are equidistant from the X-X axis and parallel to the latter. Apart from that, one of the cones is drilled from its top and along its axis with a blind hole 16.
To use the toy in yet another way, a string is passed through the bores 15 and, after having made the body of revolution rotate a few times around its axis, it is possible, by a traction exerted on each side of the body by the strings 19, cause it to rotate. This will not stop when the twist of the twine has disappeared; the body will then have stored enough living force to twist the string in the other direction, so that a repeated pull will make it possible to make it go back and so on.
According to the usage shown in fig. , '3, the revolution body serves as a toy known as a yoyo. To do this, a string was wound in the groove 10 having a loop at the end through which the toy core passes. The other end of the string is held in the hand, and the impulses given to the revolution body to increase the effect of gravity a little will cause it to fall while turning until the string is taut. The active force acquired will be enough to wind the string again in the opposite direction and bring the body of revolution up into the player's hand.
To use the body of revolution as a top, it is placed on the top of the cone which is not pierced and, after having wound a string in the groove 10, it is possible, by holding it by means of a button 18, the rod of which has been introduced into the axial bore 16 of the body of revolution, giving the body of revolution an impulse which will allow it to turn while remaining in balance on its top.
