Termination for high voltage cables with metal sheath. In order to reduce the dimensions of the cable terminations, the voltage distribution at the cable ends is controlled by capacitor inserts in the manner known from capacitor bushings. The capacitor inserts are z. B. made of metal foils, which are provided with rounded edges to prevent the emergence of field concentrations and a damage caused by the insulation.
The thickened edges of the metal inserts are completely covered with the wound insulating material, so that the field lines do not run parallel, but perpendicular to the insulating material layers and the greatest stress does not occur in the air or in air, but across the insulating material layers.
To control the potential at the end of a metal-sheathed conductor iso-profiled, it is also known to push a sleeve wound from insulating material with metal inserts on the conductor end freed from the metal sheath and to connect the metal insert to the metal sheath of the conductor.
The invention now relates to an end closure for high-voltage cables with a metal jacket, which consists of insulating material with wrapped multilayer metal inserts in the manner of the capacitor bushings and which is pushed onto the cable insulation after the metal jacket has been removed, in which the end closure according to the invention consists of a plurality of Telescopically lined up, with the edges overlapping, hollow cylindrical parts made of insulating material with metal inserts completely wrapped in it.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei game of the invention is shown schematically in longitudinal section.
The cable core a is provided with the insulation b, on which the metal jacket or the armouring c is applied. At the end of the cable, the metal jacket is removed for the attachment of the cable termination. The cable termination consists of three hollow cylindrical parts dl, d2, d3, which telescopically overlap one another. The parts d to d3 are made of wound insulating material f, z.
B. made of paper, with metal inserts wrapped therein; after the end of the cable they have an increasing diameter, so that the metal inserts lie to each other like steps. The metal inserts have rounded edges that are completely embedded in the insulating material by tearing and folding the edges of the paper roll. The insert of part dl is conductively connected to the cable jacket; it has a rounding only at the edge facing away from the junction with the cable jacket, but it can also be rounded on both sides.
The fastening of the parts dl to d3 is done either by means for their separate support or by gluing the overlap the edges. The end closure is provided with a protective cover g made of ceramic material, and the whole thing is filled with an insulating compound or an insulating liquid. The number of telescopically overlapping parts is arbitrary.
