Description

Strahler in Form sehr dicker Rohre.

Broadband antenna for very short waves, with at least one radiator arranged in front of a metal mirror. It is already known for the transmission of broad frequency bands of the ultra-short wave BEZW. Use antennas with a large cross section in the decimeter wave range, e.g. B.

Radiators in the form of very thick tubes. Furthermore, as Fig. La and 1b show in two mutually perpendicular planes, strip-shaped dipoles have been proposed, which are arranged in front of a reflective, preferably flat, metal plate at a distance of approximately R / 4 parallel to this and at its feed point remote end tapered in width, so they are pointed.

It is not possible to increase the bandwidth by increasing the ratio of the width d to the length l beyond about 0.5, since difficulties arise with very wide dipoles the supply of the feed currents arise, and also the damping is increased, i.e. the difference in the input resistance in the M and in the 2/4 resonance is reduced, but the two resonance points move together. which again reduces the broadband effect.

The present invention aims to eliminate this difficulty and has the object of a broadband antenna for very short waves, with at least one radiator arranged in front of a metal mirror.

The antenna according to the invention is characterized in that the radiator has a strip-shaped element S parallel to the metal mirror P and at least one further strip-shaped element Q below zero on the side facing away from the metal mirror P is set at different angles. The strip-shaped element Q can, for.

   B. according to Fig. 2a and 2b at a right angle to the center line of the strip-shaped element S of the kind attached da.ss a T-profile. The two elements S and Q are preferably tapered in width at the two ends of the radiator S, Q.

In a corresponding manner, according to FIG. 3, by two laterally attached to the strip-shaped element S, streifenför shaped elements Q1, Q, a U-profile or, according to FIG. 4, by several elements Q "Q2" attached obliquely to the center line, a "fan" profile "come about.

The radiator according to FIG. 3, which consists of the elements S, Q1 and Q2, can be produced from a single sheet-metal strip by bending the edges. All these radiators are each arranged in front of a metal mirror P to which the strip-shaped element is parallel, preferably at a distance of 1/4.

It has shown that broader frequency bands can be effectively transmitted with these antennas than with the known antennas according to FIGS. 1 a, 1 b.
