Description

Method for fixing decorative elements forming indexes on a watch dial. The present invention. relates to a process for attaching decorative elements, such as metal pieces, semi-precious stones, pearls or other jewelry elements forming an index on a watch face, and a watch face provided with decorative elements attached to this dial by this process.

Until now, beads, stones, etc. have been applied to fix such elements. by crimping by tightening the metal frame to retain the element in question on the dial. This required for each element a metal sheath fitted with one or more feet which were riveted to the dial.

The process according to. The claim aims to achieve the fixing of such elements in a much simpler and more economical manner. It is characterized by forming in the dial, for each element, a recess having the dimensions of the element to be fixed, in that said element is introduced therein, which is fixed by gluing to the bottom of the this hollow.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, a fragment of a dial showing a decorative element fixed to the dial by the method according to the invention.

In the single figure, the number 1 is used to designate the dial on which it is a question of fixing elements of jewelry, such as fine stones, pearls, mother-of-pearl dots, or even metallic elements, intended to form index for the. reading of hours and minutes. This index can have either a geometric shape or the shape of a number.

To fix the element 2 to the dial, a recess 3 is formed therein having the dimensions of the element 2 to be fixed. A layer of adhesive material 4 is placed in the bottom of the recess or on the underside of the element 2 and the element 2 is introduced into the recess 3 so that the adhesive material 4 fixes this element by gluing. at the bottom of the recess.

In order to increase the adhesion of the element 2 on the dial, a layer of Zapon 5 is placed on the latter which, as can be seen in the drawing, also covers the element 2.

It is obvious that we could dispense with the Zapon layer and that the shape of the elements 2, as well as their number and their geometric arrangement on the dial can be arbitrary.
