PATENT A NSPRHCH :
Brake magnet attached to an electricity meter.
With the progressive improvement of the permanent magnet material and especially after the creation of the so-called per high-performance permanent magnets, the magnet dimensions could be further reduced. In some cases, completely new types of magnet shapes resulted. Now that it has been possible to increase the energy content of permanent magnets even further by using magnetic material with a preferred direction, the dimensions of the magnets can be further reduced.
It turns out, however, that reducing the dimensions does not lead to optimal utilization of the magnetic building material, but that with such magnets with a preferred direction, depending on the intended use, very specific magnet arrangements are largely superior to other arrangements, without this being foreseen in detail.
The invention relates to a brake magnet attached to an electricity meter, which is composed of soft iron and high-performance magnetic material with a preferred direction. According to the invention, permanent magnet material blocks, which are combined in pairs by soft lugs, face the disk at a distance of one to twice the length of the block.
It has proven to be expedient to make the cross-sectional shape of the magnetic blocks dependent on the size of the disk diameter. For disks with large diameters z. B. the magnetic blocks flat elliptical respectively. flat, rectangular cross-section, which more and more merges into the circular or square cross-section in the case of counter disks with a smaller diameter.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. The four magnetic blocks 1 are connected in pairs by yokes 2 made of soft iron and arranged on both sides of the counter disk 3.
Each yoke consists of two sheet metal washers, one of which, 4, has a rectangular shape, the other, 5, is provided with cutouts 6 (FIG. 2) to accommodate the IS: solder 1. The metal sheets and the block toe are connected to one another and to the magnet holder 7 by soldering. The magnetic blocks are almost cube-shaped, but are somewhat longer in the magnetic longitudinal direction than the edge length of the cube. The distance a between the little balls 1 is approximately equal to the single to double the little ball length b.
The cross-section of the block can be about 1/4 cm, the length of the block about 1 cm.
This would result in the most favorable distance between the pads of about 1 to 2 cm. The Xlötzchen consist of: high-performance magnetic material with preferred direction. This magnet arrangement Ma has a surprisingly high effect, which is about twice as large as for magnet arrangements with two U-för tend permanent magnet bodies made of the same material or with two permanent magnet rods twice the length. For example, a product of the total weight of the magnet material and the speed of the counter disk results for a certain counter power for the last-mentioned magnet arrangements, which is approximately twice as great as in the illustrated embodiment. But the smaller this product, the more effective the magnetic order.
