Description
Method for fastening a railroad track to its sleeper and fastening carried out according to the method. It is well known that the sleepers in railway operations wear out fairly quickly due to the constant rubbing of the rails on their bases.
The inconvenience has been remedied by an abundant use of screws, nails, horny and hiking clamps to attach the rails to their sleepers, with the aim of carefully assembling the rails to ensure a full concern of the same on the thresholds and thus to avoid rubbing the parts on top of each other. However, these latter measures can e.g. B.
Do not prevent the penetration of seepage water between rails and sleepers, even with newly laid rails, which soon results in rusting in iron sleepers and rotting in wooden sleepers, with the result that there is play between the rails and sleepers with all the known disadvantages arises.
The present invention should be able to remedy these inconveniences once and for all, according to which an adhesive is also used for fastening the rails on their sleepers.
If, according to a special execution form of the method according to the invention, the railroad track on the iron sleeper with the additional use of an adhesive, z. B. a synthetic resin, so the hiking clamps can ent: fall. Clamping plates and clamping plate bolts are relieved and only serve as a backup.
Since there is no rubbing between the rails and sleepers, the known resulting wear from sleepers and rails is avoided. It can be readily seen that the use of the adhesive also ensures tracking.
If, according to another embodiment of the method according to the invention, the railway rail is attached to a wooden sleeper, the adhesive is introduced between the sleeper and the base plate. As a result, the penetration of water between the wood swell and the base plate can be avoided without further ado, and the rapid rotting of the wooden sleepers in these areas is prevented.
Because there is no play between the plate and the sleeper, the boards do not eat into the sleepers. The nails, tirefonds and wedges, which previously had three functions, namely to ensure tracking, to hold the base plates in place and to hold the rails on the base plates, only have the task of securing the rails in their position.
There is also the possibility of using adhesive between the base plates and sleepers, in addition to between the base plates and sleepers, in order to avoid rapid rusting and the resulting play, and also to make hiking clamps unnecessary.
