Description
Einsatz in Kolbenluftpumpen, insbesondere in Veloluftpumpen. In den Kolbenluftpumpen, insbesondere in den Veloluftpumpen, besteht der Kolben aus einer Scheibe, an welcher eine Leder- manschette, die napfförmig ausgebildet, be festigt ist. Diese Ledermanschette dient gleichzeitig als Abdichtung und als Luft ventil. Wird der Kolben in der Pumpe nach auswärts bewegt, so wird in derselben ein luftverdünnter Raum erzeugt.
Der Atmo sphärendruck drückt nun die Luft zwischen der Ledermanschette und dem Pumpenzylin der hindurch ins Innere der Pumpe. Sobald der Kolben zurückgestossen wird, so wird die Luft in der Pumpe komprimiert. Der Luft druck drückt dabei den Rand der Leder manschette an die Wandung des Zylinders der Pumpe und dichtet so den Kolben ab. Da nun die Ledermanschette beim Gebrauche nach und nach ihre Elastizität verliert, wird dadurch die Leistung der Pumpe reduziert.
Dieser Nachteil wird durch vorliegende Erfindung beseitigt, indem in die Leder manschette ein elastischer Einsatz eingesetzt ist, welcher den Rand der Manschette stets federnd an die Wandtmg des Zylinders der Luftpumpe drückt. Dadurch wird das rich tige Funktionieren der Ledermanschette ge sichert, auch wenn dieselbe ihre Elastizität verloren hat. Als Material für den Einsatz kann z. B. Kork, Gummi, Stahl, Hartmessing usw. verwendet werden.
In der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist der Er- findungsgegenstand in einer beispielsweisen Ausführungsform dargestellt, und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch die Luft- Pumpe, Fig. 2 den Grundriss und Fig. 3 einen Schnitt durch den Einsatz der Luftpumpe.
Der Zylinder 1 der Luftpumpe hat unten eine mit Gewinde versehene Bohrung 2 zum Anschrauben eines Rohres oder eines Ventils. In diesem Pumpenzylinder ist die Kolben stange 3 mit dem Einsatz 6, der als Man schette z. B. aus Stahl ausgebildet ist, ange ordnet. Über den Einsatz 6 ist die Leder manschette 5 gestülpt und mit der Schraube 4 befestigt. In der Stahlmanschette sind die Aussparungen 7 ausgestanzt, derart, dass diese zahnradartige Form erhält, was die federnde Wirkung erhöht und den Rand der darübergestülpten Ledermanschette stets nach aussen drückt.
Als Einsatz kann auch ein federnder Ringaus Stahl dienen oder eine Scheibe aus Kork oder ein federnder Ring aus Holz.

This leather sleeve serves as a seal and as an air valve. If the piston in the pump is moved outwards, an air-diluted space is created in it.
The atmospheric pressure now pushes the air between the leather sleeve and the pump cylinder through into the interior of the pump. As soon as the piston is pushed back, the air in the pump is compressed. The air pressure presses the edge of the leather sleeve against the wall of the cylinder of the pump and thus seals the piston. Since the leather cuff gradually loses its elasticity during use, this reduces the performance of the pump.
This disadvantage is eliminated by the present invention in that an elastic insert is inserted into the leather cuff, which always presses the edge of the cuff resiliently against the wall of the cylinder of the air pump. This ensures the correct functioning of the leather cuff, even if it has lost its elasticity. As a material for use, for. B. cork, rubber, steel, hard brass, etc. can be used.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing, specifically showing: FIG. 1 a longitudinal section through the air pump, FIG. 2 the plan view and FIG. 3 a section through the use of the air pump.
The cylinder 1 of the air pump has a threaded hole 2 at the bottom for screwing on a pipe or valve. In this pump cylinder, the piston is rod 3 with the insert 6, the cuff as a man z. B. is made of steel, is arranged. The leather sleeve 5 is slipped over the insert 6 and fastened with the screw 4. The recesses 7 are punched out in the steel sleeve in such a way that they are given a gear-like shape, which increases the resilient effect and always presses the edge of the leather sleeve placed over it outwards.
A resilient ring made of steel or a disc made of cork or a resilient ring made of wood can also serve as an insert.
