Fig. 2 ist eine Variante.
Wrapping device, especially for flat-bed machines. In the case of magnetic recorders, the sound carriers designed as tape or wire are accommodated on Spu len and moved past a speaking or listening head for recording or listening by being wrapped from one reel to the other.
In magnetic recorders for recording dictations, the reverse speed is made much higher than the recording and playback speed to save time: Known designs use two drive motors with different speeds or a single drive motor with appropriately arranged freewheels and clutches, which when the direction of rotation is reversed take action.
Since the sound carriers have a small cross-section in order to achieve the greatest possible length for a given volume, the drive elements must be designed in such a way that sudden loads are avoided as far as possible when switching on and off. When using freewheels, experience has shown that this is difficult and requires significant structural effort.
The present invention now relates to a wrapping device with two individually drivable coils for the goods to be wrapped between the same with alternating movement direction and in which a friction wheel is arranged on a drive shaft between two friction wheels serving to drive one coil each,
which at the beginning of the rotation of the drive shaft in each direction of rotation of the same performs an axial movement and depending on the direction of rotation with one or the other of said friction wheels enters into a force-locking connection.
Fig. 1 and 2 of the accompanying drawings each show an embodiment of the subject invention. Fig. 2 is a variant.
The drive motor 1, which can be switched to both directions of rotation, drives a friction wheel 4 via the shaft 2, which has a steep Ge thread 3. The friction wheel 4 has two conical friction surfaces 5 and 5 a of different diameters. These friction surfaces correspond to correspondingly conical mating surfaces of two friction wheels 6 and 7, which are axially pushed so far ver that the friction surfaces of the friction wheel 4, the mating surfaces of the wheels 6 and 7 can not touch at the same time.
With the friction wheels 6 and 7 coils 8 and 9 are connected in a suitable manner, between which the sound carrier 10 is wrapped, moving it past the speaking and listening head 11, the latter being closed in a known manner to an amplifier, not shown . In order to maintain a certain tension in the sound carrier 10, the friction wheels 6 and 7 each with a brake 12 respectively. 14 braked under the action of springs 13 and 15.
The operation of the device provided in Figure 1 is as follows: If the motor rotates in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow fully extended, the friction wheel 4 moves at the beginning of its rotation, ie. H. in the first revolutions, due to its inertia against the friction wheel 6 and takes it along as soon as the friction surface 5 comes to rest against it. By selecting the appropriate thread pitch and friction angle, it can easily be achieved that the entrainment is soft and free of bumps.
If the motor is switched to the opposite direction of rotation shown by the dotted arrow, the friction wheel 4 moves axially in the opposite direction at the start of its rotation, its friction surface 5a coming into contact with the friction wheel 7. Since the friction surface 5a has a smaller diameter than the friction surface 5, the friction wheel 7 and thus the coil 9 moves at a constant speed of the motor at a lower speed, which is required for recording and playback. If, on the other hand, the friction surface 5 is in contact with the friction wheel 6, the sound carrier receives the greater speed required for rewinding.
The speeds of the sound carrier 10 behave with the same diameters of the friction wheels 6 and 7 as the diameter of the friction surfaces 5 and 5a.
The diameter of the friction wheels 6 and 7 could also be chosen differently who, for example, so that the friction wheel 7 is made larger than the friction wheel 6, whereby the speed ratio between recording or. Playback and rewind would continue to be enlarged.
In Fig. 1, the brakes 12 and 14, which are used to keep the sound carrier 10 taut, are continuously in operation. The tautness would also be achieved if only the brake of the mating wheel not being driven by the friction wheel 4 would be effective. As a result, the power to be applied by the engine 1 could be reduced. In FIG. 2, such an embodiment is shown schematically in which the axial movement of the friction wheel 4 is used to control the brakes in the sense that only the friction wheel not connected to the drive shaft is braked.
The same reference numbers denote the same or equivalent parts as in Fig. 1. The friction wheel 4 has a collar formed with a taker 16, over which the forks of the two-armed lever 17 and the one-armed lever 19 engage the axes around the fixed rotation 18 and 20 are rotatable. The levers 17 and 19 act on the brakes 14 and 12 and each lift the brake of the friction wheel 6 or 7 driven by the motor.
Instead of the coarse thread 3, another equivalent component, wel Ches the friction wheel 4 at the beginning of the rotary movement given an axial movement, find application, z. B. a screw cam, as shown in F'ig.3, -where between two on the motor shaft or one of this driven shaft 2 stuck down the sleeves 21 and 22 with axial play, the friction wheel 4 at a certain angle, z. B. 180, is loosely rotatably arranged.
At the end facing the wheel 4, the sleeves 21 and 22 have a helical curve 21 'respectively. 22 'on: The hubs of the friction wheel are provided with such curves in an analogous manner. At the beginning of rotation in each direction of rotation of the shaft 2, the wheel 4 first executes an axial movement that is limited by the frictional engagement on the wheel 6 or 7, whereupon the wheel in question with the associated take-up roll is taken along and rotated. The axial movement of the friction wheel 4 can be supported additionally Lich to the effect of inertia by a brake acting on the friction wheel counter to the direction of rotation.
The wrapping device described has known devices compared to the advantage of great simplicity by allowing the ge required, aforementioned drives ratios with a relatively small number of items.
The Umwickelv device could also be used for tape, thread or cord-like winding material except for magnetic sound carriers who is to be alternately unwound in the direction of movement from a reel and wound onto another reel.
