Small accumulator lamp with charger. Accumulator lamps are already known which are designed in such a way that the accumulator can be charged via an associated charging device by connecting it to an alternating current network, without having to be removed from the lamp housing for charging.
All known designs of such accumulator lamps are designed in such a way that the charging device contains all parts necessary for reducing and rectifying the mains voltage in a common housing, which is designed, for example, as a mains plug.
A navel with a plug contact serves as the connection to the charging contacts of the lamp. These known versions of such small accumulator lamps with charger have the following two main disadvantages 1. The plug contact and the charging plug on the small lamp must be designed so that they can only be connected to each other with the correct polarity.
This is generally easy to do, but there is always the possibility that the connection cable is connected reversed in polarity after repair work on the cable itself, on the charger or on the plug contact, which results in destruction of the accumulator.
2. Because the charging contacts of the lamp carry the voltage of the battery, when carrying the lamp in your pocket, contact with metallic objects, such. B. keys or pocket knives, lead to a short circuit of the battery.
These disadvantages can be remedied by the present invention. The present invention is a small rechargeable battery lamp with charging device, in which the part of the .Lade device to be connected to the alternating current network, which is detachably connected to the small rechargeable battery lamp by cable and plug contact, only serves to reduce the mains voltage Organ, while the organ which rectifies the alternating current is built into the housing of the small accumulator lamp.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the subject invention is shown schematically.
The housing of an electric flashlight is designated by 1, the light bulb 2 of which is fed by an accumulator 3 arranged in the housing 1. A switch 4 is used to turn the light bulb on and off 2. The connection contacts 5 and 6 of the battery 3 are interposed with an alternating current rectify the organ 7, z. B. a Kupferoxydul- or selenium rectifier, closed on two pins 8 and 9 fixed to the housing 1.
A plug 12 having the sockets 10 and 11 can be plugged onto these plug pins 8 and 9 and is connected by a cable 13 to a plug 14 which can be plugged into a socket of an alternating current network. The plug 14 contains a power supply to reduce the voltage of the alternating current network to the charging voltage for the accumulator 3 serving organ 15, in the drawing a transformer. However, a voltage divider with ohmic or capacitive resistors could also be used to reduce the voltage.
To charge the accumulator 3, the plug 12 is plugged onto the plug pins 8 and 9 on the housing 1 of the flashlight and the plug 14 is plugged into a socket of an alternating current network. The cable 13, which connects the plug 14 to the plug 12, carries alternating current. the voltage of which is reduced to the voltage required for charging the battery 3 by the organ 15 reducing the mains voltage. Since the rectification of the alternating current is arranged in the housing 1, the plug 12 can be plugged onto the plug pins 8 and 9 without the risk of the accumulator 3 being connected incorrectly.
Due to the high resistance respectively. the locking effect in one direction of the alternating current directing organ 7, the plug pins 8 and 9 are short-circuit proof, that is, after removing the plug 12, no current load harmful to the accumulator 3 can arise even if these plug pins 8 and 9 come into contact with metallic objects. Furthermore, the accumulator 3 is protected by the blocking effect of the organ 7 from inappropriate power consumption via the connector pins 8 and 9 and thus prevents the accumulator 3 from being used as a power source for other purposes.
The organ in the plug 14 which reduces the voltage of the alternating current network to the charging voltage for the accumulator 3 can be designed in such a way that the accumulator 3 can be charged on alternating current networks of different voltages.
