Watch box. The movement is often frozen in the waterproof watch case, and sometimes also in certain non-waterproof cases, by a metal part, the cage-holder ring. This piece is often provided with tabs in variable number, at least three, which pushes movement and dial against the flange of the caseband.
This current method of fixing is sometimes insufficient, for example when the watch is subjected to certain sudden movements of the arm. In addition, one or more fixing tabs may break, resulting in a detrimental displacement of the movement in the case. In addition, this device increases the thickness of the box.
The present invention relates to a watch case in which these drawbacks are avoided, the fixing of the movement in the case being ensured by a spring introduced, by banding it, into a groove made in the middle of this case, groove qu 'once in place it protrudes, to create a stop against which the edge of the plate abuts. The drawing represents, by way of example, two embodiments of the box according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows, in diametral section, the first embodiment of a waterproof watch case with a screwed back of circular shape.
Fig. 2 gives, in perspective, the view of a circular metal spring.
Fig. 3 shows, in diametral section ,. the second embodiment.
The box shown in FIG. 1 com takes a screwed caseback interlocking in the caseband 2, a crystal 3 fixed to the notch; inside the case, the movement 4 and the casing 5 are supported under the flange 6 of the middle 2. In the latter is also made the groove 7, of rectangular section, into which is introduced, in the ban dant, the circular metal spring 8 of also rectangular section. This spring is shown separately in fig. 2.
The two ends 9 and 10 are bent so as to form claws forming a right angle with the main body of the spring, in order to facilitate handling. In another embodiment; one could only raise one end of the spring in the form of a claw. In addition, - a gradual reduction a and b of the width of the spring towards its ends 9 and 10 allows the correct positioning of the latter in the groove.
To ensure that the movement is securely fixed in the case, it suffices to choose the spring of resistance and dimensions such that, once in place, it strongly supports movement and. dial under the shoulder formed by the flange 6 of the caseband 2.
Another embodiment of the box according to the invention shown in FIG. 3 comprises a groove 11 of zoidal trapezoidal section formed in the middle part 2 of the sealed case with a screwed bottom, groove into which a spring 12 is force-fed, similar to that of the first embodiment, but of circular section.
In this case, the seems being put in place, the spring. is pressed strongly on the inclined face 13 of the groove 11, at the same time as it presses movement and the dial under the flange 6 of the frame 2.
In the embodiments shown, the watch case, and therefore the metallic res, are circular in shape.
We could obviously adapt a rectangular metal spell in an equally rectangular watch case.
