Outil à main, comportant deux branches articulées l'une à l'autre. L'objet de la présente invention est un outil à main, comportant deux branches arti culées l'une à l'autre, soit par exemple une cisaille, une pince, un sécateur.
Dans de tels outils, on peut distinguer deux positions caractéristiques: la position ouverte, dans laquelle les branches sont écartées l'une de l'autre, formant une figure semblable à un X, et la position fermée, dans laquelle lesdites branches sont pratiquement parallèles entre elles, voire même au moins partielle ment superposées.
Beaucoup de ces outils comportent un or gane élastique, tendant à ramener les bran ches constamment en position ouverte et, parmi ceux-ci, un certain nombre comporte des moyens de verrouillage permettant d'immobiliser les branches en position fermée.
L'outil selon la présente invention, du type comportant un organe élastique, est caractérisé en ce que ses deux branches forment entre elles, à l'endroit du pivot, un logement cons tituant un barillet pour un ressort spiral dont une extrémité est fixée à l'une des branches et l'autre à l'autre branche, ce ressort étant par construction armé, de manière à tendre constamment à ramener les deux branches en position ouverte.
Le dessin annexé montre une forme d'exé cution de l'objet de l'invention, donnée à titre d'exemple et appliquée à un sécateur.
La fig. 1 en est une vue par-dessus et la fig. 2 une coupe selon II-II de la fig.1. La fig. 3 montre un détail de cette coupe dans une position différente de certains or ganes décrits ci-après et à une échelle un peu plus grande.
Le sécateur représenté se compose des deux branches 1 et 2 articulées l'une à l'autre par l'intermédiaire du pivot 3. Chaque bran che se compose de part et d'autre du pivot, de la poignée 1', respectivement 2' et de la lame 1", respectivement 2".
Autour du pivot est réservée une chambre annulaire 4, formant barillet pour un ressort spiral 5. Cette chambre est formée par les deux branches, qui la délimitent de toute part. L'une des extrémités de ce ressort est mécaniquement reliée à la branche 1 et l'autre à la branche 2. Lors du montage, on prend soin d'armer ce ressort, de manière à ce qu'il cherche constamment à écarter les deux bran ches en position ouverte, c'est-à-dire à faire tourner la branche 2 dans le sens de la flèche G par rapport à la branche 1.
Pour maintenir le sécateur fermé, contre l'action du ressort précité, il est muni d'un dispositif de verrouillage composé d'un verrou 7 prisonnier dans la branche 1, mais suscep tible de se mouvoir axialement entre deux positions, dans l'une desquelles il s'engage radialement et partiellement dans une partie cylindrique de la branche 2, coaxiale au pivot 3.
Dans cette position, représentée aux fig. 1 et 2, ce verrou immobilise les deux branches du sécateur fermé.
Un piston 8 permet de maintenir le ver rou dans la susdite position, ou au contraire de l'en libérer. Il possède à cet effet, d'une part un plan incliné 9 commandant le ver rou 7 et, d'autre part deux encoches 10 et 11 formant crans pour une bille 12 soumise à l'action d'un ressort 13 placé dans un logement ménagé dans la branche. Selon que la bille 12 se trouve dans le cran 10 (position des fig. 1 et 2) ou dans le cran 11 (position de la fig. 3), le verrou est poussé en avant et assure la fermeture du sécateur, ou bien il est au contraire libéré et en permet l'emploi.
Le piston émerge. dans chacune de ces positions d'un côté de la branche le suppor tant, ce qui permet de le repousser à volonté et dans chaque cas dans la position inverse.
La construction est très simple, piston, ressort, bille et verrou étant logés dans deux trous percés perpendiculairement l'un à l'autre dans la branche les renfermant.

Many of these tools include an elastic or gane, tending to bring the branches constantly in the open position and, among these, a certain number have locking means making it possible to immobilize the branches in the closed position.
The tool according to the present invention, of the type comprising an elastic member, is characterized in that its two branches form between them, at the location of the pivot, a housing constituting a barrel for a spiral spring, one end of which is fixed to one of the branches and the other to the other branch, this spring being by reinforced construction, so as to constantly tend to return the two branches to the open position.
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example and applied to a secateurs.
Fig. 1 is a top view thereof and FIG. 2 a section along II-II of fig.1. Fig. 3 shows a detail of this section in a position different from certain organs described below and on a somewhat larger scale.
The secateurs shown consists of two branches 1 and 2 articulated to each other by means of the pivot 3. Each branch consists of either side of the pivot, of the handle 1 ', respectively 2' and the blade 1 ", respectively 2".
Around the pivot is reserved an annular chamber 4, forming a barrel for a spiral spring 5. This chamber is formed by the two branches, which delimit it on all sides. One end of this spring is mechanically connected to branch 1 and the other to branch 2. During assembly, care is taken to arm this spring, so that it constantly seeks to separate the two. branches in the open position, i.e. to rotate branch 2 in the direction of arrow G with respect to branch 1.
To keep the pruning shears closed, against the action of the aforementioned spring, it is provided with a locking device composed of a lock 7 trapped in the branch 1, but capable of moving axially between two positions, in one which it engages radially and partially in a cylindrical part of the branch 2, coaxial with the pivot 3.
In this position, shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, this lock immobilizes the two branches of the closed secateurs.
A piston 8 makes it possible to maintain the red worm in the aforesaid position, or on the contrary to release it from it. It has for this purpose, on the one hand an inclined plane 9 controlling the red worm 7 and, on the other hand two notches 10 and 11 forming notches for a ball 12 subjected to the action of a spring 13 placed in a housing spared in the branch. Depending on whether the ball 12 is in the notch 10 (position of fig. 1 and 2) or in the notch 11 (position of fig. 3), the lock is pushed forward and ensures the closing of the secateurs, or else it is on the contrary released and allows its use.
The piston emerges. in each of these positions on one side of the branch supporting it, which makes it possible to push it back at will and in each case in the reverse position.
The construction is very simple, piston, spring, ball and lock being housed in two holes drilled perpendicular to each other in the branch enclosing them.
