Process for the manufacture of flour agarms for looms. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing poor hitting looms for looms. These flapping arms are subject to high, since they have to give the loom a powerful blow. The wear and tear of the same is very great.
Purpose of the present invention is. in creating a striking arm that can withstand the high loads for a long time. This purpose is achieved according to the method according to the invention in that strips of wood of the same type and pretreatment are glued together symmetrically to a center plane, with an insert made of particularly resistant material to increase the wear resistance at the end of the Suhlag arm intended for striking , e.g. B. made of pressed or compressed wood or plastic is seen before. An insert made of material known in the trade as "stone wood" has proven itself well.
Compacted wood, in which plastic is pressed into the wood pores under high pressure, can also be used to advantage.
In the accompanying drawings, exemplary embodiments of flapping arms produced by the method according to the Invention are shown schematically.
Fig. 1 shows a beating arm for a sub-lap loom, Fig. 2 and 3 are on a larger scale cross-sections along lines II-II and respectively. III-III of FIGS. 1, 4 and 5 show corresponding sections of a further embodiment of the striking arm.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1-3, the striking arm 1 is made of two wide wooden bands 3, 4 and a center piece 5, furthermore from two strips 6, 7 and 8, 9 located on the side of the center piece 5, glued together. The individual parts are arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal center planes x-x and y-y. The bands 3, 4 are made of wood of the same type, such as. B. Hickory, and the same pretreatment, as well as the strips 6, 7 and 8, 9. At the tapered end intended for beating, the strips 6, 8 and 7, 9 are supported by inserts 10, 11 made of pressed wood, e.g. B. so-called. "Lignostone" replaced.
These insoles primarily take on the stresses that arise during work. Since the wear and tear of this compacted wood is small, the impact remains usable for a relatively long time.
In Fig. 4, 5, a further embodiment is shown. The flapping arm again consists of three layers. The two outer layers are composed of strips 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, while the middle layer consists of a middle piece 18, two strips 19, 20 and the side pieces 21, 22. At the end intended for striking, the layers 19, 21 and 20, 22 are replaced by inserts 23, 24 made of compressed wood, as in the first embodiment.
All strips are joined with the same straightened fibers and glued in a known manner.
