Automatischer Stromausschalter.
Automatic power off switch. With numerous electrical consumption bodies, it is desirable to interrupt the current after a certain time. Apparatus has already been proposed for this purpose, which was rather complicated and consequently expensive. This circumstance made their introduction in daily use difficult.
The invention aims to create an automatic breaker which is as inexpensive to manufacture as possible and which can be attached wherever there is a socket.
The circuit breaker built according to the invention is characterized in that the entire mechanism is built into the insulating housing of a plug.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the automatic power switch according to the invention. The model shown consists of two halves which are screwed together and the inside of which are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. FIG. 3 shows the interrupter closed, from above, and FIG. 4 is a side view.
FIG. 5 is a section on the line V-V of FIG.
The existing housing of the connector shown, made of pressed insulating material, has two shells 1 and 10. A plug pin 2 is held in the shell 1 in the usual way. From this pin, a line 3 leads to a fixed contact 4 in the shell bottom, which works together with the end of a resilient lamella 5, which is fixed at 6 on the shell wall. The electrical connection between the lamella 6 and a socket 8 is established by means of a wire 7. The lamella 5 is normally separated from the contact 4.
The other shell 10 (FIG. 2) also carries a plug 2, which is electrically connected to a second contact sleeve 8 by means of a wire 11. In this second half a clockwork 12 is housed, the sen controller 13 through drives, not shown, with a pinion 14 is in mechanical connec tion. This pinion meshes with the teeth 15 of a segment 15 mounted at 16, which is under the influence of a spring 17 serving as a motor.
The segment 15 has a slot 18 with an extension 25 at one end. through - which extension in the position shown a plunger 19 penetrates. The latter is under the action of a spring and ends on the outside with a button 20 and on the inside with a head 21 whose tip 22 leans against the lamella 5.
If the button 20 is pressed against the action of the spring 23 and that of the lamella 5, the head 21 is lifted out of the widening of the slot 18 of the segment 15 and the contact between 5 and 1 is established. Then is the electrical connection between the plug? and sleeve 8 in FIG. If the segment 15 is rotated by means of the button 24 with the button depressed, the spring 17 is tensioned and the extension 25 terminating the slot 18 removed from the axis of the plug 1S). If the button 20 is released, the head 21 of the plunger 19 is held up by the edges of the slot 18, that is to say in the position in which the contact 4, 5 is closed.
The work begins to run for a period of time proportional to the angle. around which the knob 24 was turned. So the segment gradually returns to its original position. until the head 21 can assume the position shown again under the action of the spring 23 through the extension 25. Then the contact 4, 5 is opened again and the current is interrupted. A scale 26 is attached to the housing in front of the button 24. which represents a yardstick for the duration of the work.
Are the two halves folded together and ver connected by screws, not shown, as shown in Fig. 4, the illustrated automatic Stromausschal ter can be performed in the contact sleeves of a socket, where it stops easily. The line leading to the consumer can then be inserted into the sleeves 8.
Instead of. the sleeves 8 could also be connected to a cord leading to the consumer. But then the possibility of using the breaker in a variety of ways would not be available.
