Absperrschieber.
Gate valve. In the currently most used slides with two parallel slide mirrors, the closure of the passage is caused by the fact that the slide bodies are pressed against their seats by a device that acts in the center of the slide body, z. B. a wedge or an eccentric.
Gate valves of this design close both the inlet and the outlet. In the case of another slider with parallel slider mirrors, one slider mirror is pressed against one seat by the pressure. Gate valves of this type only close the outlet, which is why the valve body is always under pressure.
The former of these types of slide seals only against a relatively low pressure and therefore has a limited area of application, while the latter type of slide seals best at high pressures. It has long been desirable to provide a gate valve that seals effectively at both low and high pressures. The present invention relates to an improved embodiment of the former type of gate valve which is useful for all purposes and which seals effectively for all prints.
This is achieved according to the invention in that the valve body is divided into two halves by a parting line running diagonally in axial section so that when the valve is closed, the valve halves slide onto one another with two inclined planes, being driven apart.
The subject of the invention is shown on the enclosed gender drawing in three exemplary embodiments. 1 shows an axial section, FIG. 2 shows a side view partly in section and with one slider body half removed, FIG. 3 shows a section of the first embodiment perpendicular to the section according to FIG.
4 shows an axial section through a second embodiment of the slide and FIG. 5 shows a longitudinal section through the slide body in a third embodiment. In the drawing, 1 denotes the slide housing in which the two-part slide body is arranged displaceably with the aid of a spindle 2 provided with a handwheel.
The slide body consists of two halves 3 and 4, the sealing surfaces of which cooperating with the corresponding slide seats 5 and G in the slide housing are parallel to one another and to the spindle axis. As can be seen from Fig. 1, the slide body is divided into two halves by a diagonal parting line in axial section, the slide half 3 at a point on the circumference where it has its greatest height, with a holding means for its connection with the spindle is provided.
This holding means consists, according to FIGS. 1-3, of a projection 7 which has a recess into which a collar 8 at the end of the spindle 2 engages in such a way that it rotates therein, but cannot perform any axial movement with respect to the projection 7.
The other slide half 4 is loosely connected to the slide half 3 in that the slide half 3 is seen approximately at the center of the surface facing the slide half 4 with a T-shaped pin 9 in section, while the slide half 4 on its part with two a fork 10 forming is provided before cracks that grip to guide around the web of the T-shaped pin while they are under attack from the flange of the pin.
It is clear that when the spindle 2 is operated to open the slide, the slide half 4 takes part in the upward movement of the slide half 3, and when the spindle is operated to close the slide, both slide halves are moved downwards , whereupon, when the slide half 4 has reached the bottom, further actuation of the slide spindle 2 results,
that the slide halves behave like two wedge surfaces sliding on each other and are therefore pressed apart.
The embodiment according to FIG. 4 corresponds in the main with that according to FIGS. 1-3; the only difference is that a helical spring 11 is inserted between the two halves 3 and 4 of the slider body in such a way that it rests with its one end on a planar recess in the cylindrical inner surface of the slider half 3 and with its other end the web of a U-shaped part 1.0 in section is supported on the slide half 4,
which forms a guide with the pin 9, which is T-shaped in section, on the slide half 3. In the U-shaped part 10 a spring engaging in the screw pin 12 is arranged, which holds the spring in place.
When the handwheel is turned to open the slide, the spring 11 immediately causes a displacement of the slide halves 3 and 4 against each other, so that the sealing surfaces of the slide body are actively removed from the sealing surfaces in the slide housing. For this purpose, as can be seen from the drawing, a small margin is seen in the vertical direction between the F ührangs- pin 9 and 10 before.
The spring 11 also has the effect that the slider halves are held together as a unit, which makes the assembly easier. For the same purpose, a pin 13 is also arranged across the recess surrounding the spindle 2 in set 7, whereby the slide is prevented from becoming detached from the spindle during assembly.
Fig. 5 shows a third embodiment in which a screw 14 is screwed into one slide half 3, which through a hole in the other slide half 4 with aclisialem and radial play he stretches, and for the sunk head 15 a corresponding conical extension the hole is provided. The screw is surrounded by the spring 11. The mode of operation is analogous to that described for the embodiment according to FIG.
