Paper holder with inlaid carbon paper for the simultaneous production of several copies in the typewriter. When producing a large number of copies in the typewriter at the same time, it is known to be useful to place the carbon and carbon paper sheets in a sheet holder before clamping the stack in the typewriter in order to prevent the sheets from shifting, damaging or crumpling during insertion to avoid entering the machine.
This holder be available in its simplest, known form from a sheet of stronger paper, which has a folded edge on one narrow side; The carbon and carbon paper sheets are then placed in the holder in alternating order in such a way that their narrow sides butt against the groove.
For paperwork that always requires a constant number of copies, carbon paper sets have also been created; in which the carbon sheets are already firmly connected to a backing sheet. Compared to the first-mentioned type, this has the advantage that the insertion of the copy sheets is quicker, while the disadvantage is that the pleading cannot be repaired while writing.
In order to prevent the formation of creases when clamping the fixed stack, you have to insert it into the machine in such a way that the narrow side of the stack, along which the individual sheets of carbon paper that result in the set are connected to the base, when labeled in the Typewriter coincide with the front, top edge of the letterhead.
As a result, however, the individual carbon copies are not accessible while writing and you may have to make necessary corrections after completion and removal of the stack from the machine, i. H. you have to clamp each sheet separately, which is time consuming.
Another disadvantage of this known solid gohle paper sets, which already results from what has just been said, is the uneven utilization of the carbon paper to be seen. Since the connecting edge of the individual sheets must always be on top and in front while writing, turning the carbon sheets over is also impossible; So the left and upper edge of the sheet, which is known to be used little or not, always come to lie in the same place on the coal knot.
Finally, the unchangeable number of carbon sheets, which are combined into a fixed set, is to be assessed as a disadvantage, because in practice more copies than normal are often needed, in which case sets with different numbers of sheets have to be used. as long as one does not prefer to work without typesetting or to bring the existing composition to the required number of sheets with additional loose charcoal sheets.
The invention relates to a paper holder that combines the advantages of the first-mentioned type (possibility of making corrections while writing, optionally Ver usability of different numbers of sheets) with the advantages of the second-mentioned type (quick handling, no laying of loose sheets) while avoiding the disadvantages of both types. This should be achieved by an easily detachable, simple connection between the carbon paper sheets on the one hand and the backing sheet on the other.
According to the invention is at least one. backwards, d. H. the other side than the folded edge foldable and on the back, d. H. Provided in the folded position on the underlay sheet fixable tongue, which was created by cutting out of the folded part of the underlay sheet and connects the edge parts of the carbon paper sheets facing the folded edge of the underlay sheet in a detachable manner with the underlay sheet.
When folding further, by tearing or cutting along the tongue edges from the edge part of the loosely inserted carbon paper sheets in the holder tongues can be connected to the same to a detachable unit after folding them and by means of the tongue on the backing sheet. The solubility of the unit allows corrections to be made on the individual copies without the need to remove the stack from the machine; However, the solubility also allows various different carbon paper sheets to be inserted into a Hal ter according to the invention.
In the accompanying drawing, the subject of the invention is shown diagrammatically in one embodiment.
Fig. 1 shows the U nterlagsblatt 1 ge ordinary, somewhat stiff paper, which, as known per se, is seen with a folded edge 2 ver. By cutting out the edge of the fold, a tongue 3 is created which, after being folded over, can be inserted into a holding slot 3 'in the backing sheet and there. without further ado. Fig. 2 again shows the same underlay sheet 1 with a fold? and tongue 3; The carbon paper sheets 4 intended for making the copies are now inserted into the fold in such a way that one of their narrow sides abuts your fold.
These leaves are now torn at 5 and 6 so that tongues are also formed on the narrow sides of the coal leaves. These tongues are bent over the edge 7; then the tongue 3 is also bent ge over the edge 7 and inserted into the gap 3 ', whereupon the carbon paper set is usable. It then has the form shown in FIG. The carbon copy sheets are inserted in the same way as is known from the fixed carbon paper sets, and the set is then clamped head first into the typewriter.
If you want to correct the written text of the same while writing on a page, the connection formed by the tongue and slot is released, the correction is made in the known manner and the sentence is inserted again in the manner described before removing it from the machine the tongue fixed in the gap.
After the page has been labeled, the sentence is removed from the machine; because the labeled sheets only reach up to the height of the gante 7, but the coal sheets to the left and right of this gante up to the kniff 8 (Fix.
3), you can clamp the carbon sheets with two fingers at their upper edge and then remove the labeled sheets from the stack with one grip, j #, - if the gohle sheets are a little shorter than the carbon paper to be labeled. This makes it very easy to remove the sheets from the stack; the stack is immediately ready for use again.
After a while, it will be found to be useful to turn the carbon sheets by 180 in order to wear the carbon evenly. For this purpose the connection 3 \ 3 'is released, whereupon the sheets are removed and, after turning, put back in as described. After tearing the carbon paper tongues and fixing the tongue 3, the stack is ready for use again.
Of course, instead of fixing the tongue 3 by inserting it into the slot 3 ', another releasable fixing, e.g. B. occur through repeatedly detachable glebung (like self-adhesive postcards).
