Das Rückwärtsdrehen eines Kreiselver dichters kann verheerende Folgen haben. So kann in einem solchen Falle, namentlich bei grossen Volumina der druckseitig verwende ten Apparate, die Drehzahl beim Rückwärts lauf die für den Verdichterläufer aus Festig keitsgründen zulässigen Werte überschreiten;
Safety device on driven gyroscopes to prevent reverse rotation in the event of a sudden failure of the prime mover. The invention relates to a backup device on driven Kreiselmaschi NEN against reverse rotation in the event of sudden failure of the drive machine.
Safety devices of this type who are usually provided with centrifugal compressors when containers, manifolds and the like of considerable volumes are present on their pressure side, or when two or more centrifugal compressors create a common pressure network. In. In such cases, pressure medium from the container or the Sam melleline can flow back through the same backwards into the suction line when the centrifugal compressor is suddenly switched off, which can cause the centrifugal compressor to rotate backwards.
The same occurs if the drive machine of one of several gyroscopic compressors connected to a common pressure network fails, in that part of the medium still conveyed into the pressure network by the other compressors then flow back through the compressor, whose drive machine has failed.
Reverse rotation of a rotary compressor can have disastrous consequences. In such a case, especially in the case of large volumes of apparatus used on the pressure side, the speed when running in reverse can exceed the values permissible for reasons of strength for the compressor rotor;
Furthermore, the oil supply to the bearings of the centrifugal compressor is no longer guaranteed when running backwards, since the oil pump delivers in the reverse direction when running backwards and thus no longer supplies oil to the lubrication points, but rather the 01 </ B that is still present in them > sucks back into the oil container.
In order to prevent compressors from running backwards, it is common practice to use automatic non-return devices in the pressure lines of the individual compressors. Usually flaps are used for this, which are closed directly by the back pressure that is generated in the event of a backflow of the pumped medium. Such flaps or valve bodies are often also designed in such a way that their own weight supports the closing movement while they are kept open by the overpressure generated by the centrifugal compressor.
Such organs cause, when they are under the influence of their own weight, not inconsiderable pressure losses in the pressure line; Finally, they can also give rise to undesirable vibrations in the gas column in the pressure-side lines, which causes the centrifugal compressors to "pump" prematurely.
In order to remedy the abovementioned inconveniences in connection with safety devices, which have a closing element inserted into the pressure line of the centrifugal machine and actuated by a servomotor, according to the present invention, the servomotor piston is controlled from a storage device that is inserted into an in The flow generated depending on the gear of a part of the centrifugal machine is built in, in such a way that the closing element is kept open during normal gear of that part, but is inevitably closed at the latest when the said part comes to a standstill.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown, for example, in a simplified representation.
In the figure, 1 designates a centrifugal compressor, 2 its drive motor, 31 the suction and 3 the pressure line of this centrifugal compressor 1. In the pressure line 3, a closing element designed as a rotary flap 4 is installed, which is connected to the piston 6 by means of a toggle lever 5 a servomotor 7 oil-controlled on both sides is in connection.
The piston 6 is also on one side under the pressure of a spring 8, the action of which is dimensioned such that it inevitably brings the rotary flap 4 into the closed position when the hydraulic pressure normally acting on the servomotor piston 6 is removed. The spaces of the servomotor cylinder 7 on both sides of the piston 6 are connected to a line 10 which belongs to the pressure part of an oil supply to the centrifugal compressor 1.
This connection is such that the space to the right of the piston 6 is connected via a line 11 to a point in the pressure line 10 which is in front of a vacuum device formed as a nozzle 9, while the space to the left of the piston 6 is connected via a line 1? is connected to a point on the pressure line 10 which is located behind the nozzle 9.
The mentioned oil supply also includes a main oil pump 13, which receives its drive from the twisting shaft and conveys the lubricating oil from a collecting container 14 into the pressure line 10. Behind the nozzle 9, be sought in the conveying direction of the lubricating oil, the pressure line 19 with a built-in check valve 15 of an auxiliary oil pump 16 is ruled out on the line 10. 17 denotes a cooler for the 01 conveyed by the pumps 13 and 16, and 18 is the line through which the cooled 01 flows to the bearings of the compressor 1.
The mode of operation of the safety device described is as follows: When the drive of the main oil pump 13 stops, there is no greater oil pressure in front of the nozzle 9 than after it. Consequently, the spring 8, which acts on the servomotor piston 6 on one side, is able to forcibly close the rotary flap 4.
If then automatically or arbitrarily triggered - the auxiliary oil pump 16 when the oil supply by the main oil pump 13 is stopped, there is even a higher ()] pressure after the nozzle 9 - seen in the sense of the normal oil delivery direction - than before the same, -% by the inevitable closure of the rotary valve 4 is reinforced.
As soon as the flap 4 closes the pressure line 3 of the centrifugal compressor 1, no Rückwä rtstrieb of the latter can take place by backward flowing gases in the event of failure of the drive machine 2.
The safety device described offers the essential advantage that precisely that part whose failure would lead to damage due to the reverse movement during the return flow of conveying means, i.e. the oil supply system, produces the pulse for the inevitable closure of the rotary flap 4. On the other hand, with normal operation of the compressor, i.e. even when the oil supply is working correctly, the rotary flap 4 built into the pressure line 3 is inevitably completely open and then does not cause any harmful pressure losses with respect to the compressed medium.
The storage device can be built into any flow generated as a function of the gear of a part of the gyroscope, for example also in the flow generated by the impellers of the gyroscope. In this case, the storage device is expediently installed in the pressure or suction line of the centrifugal machine, and the impulse on the closing element controlled by this storage device can then be triggered before the delivery has ceased completely, for example before the unstable area is reached (surge limit ), be initiated.
However, the closing of the closing element must inevitably take place at the latest when the part that generates the flow into which the storage device is installed is at a standstill.
A panel, for example, can also be used as a storage device, and a slide, valve or the like can be provided instead of a rotary flap as a closing element.
