Coat with adjustable waist. In the case of ready-to-wear women's coats, which should lie at the waist and are therefore cut tightly at the belt height according to a normal size or gathered by a pull in the back, there is the inconvenience that people who have a waist that deviates from the normal, small or large these coats can not wear because the coat, with otherwise suitable dimensions, or too wide in the waist. is too tight. Also, an adjustment to the thicker or thinner clothing of the wearer is desired respectively.
such a coat should also be wearable as "maternity clothes".
By incorporating an elastic band in the back, an adaptation of the coat to the waist size can be achieved to a certain extent. However, rubber cord cannot be used with all sheath materials, besides that rubber is not always available or processing for the stated purpose is undesirable. The invention relates to a coat whose waist size can be changed. According to the invention, a hose-like part with a loosely ver running, adjustable belt is fixed angeord net to adapt to the respective waist size at waist height.
This belt is preferably fastened with its one end to a longitudinal edge of the jacket and its other end protrudes from the hose-like part on the other metal longitudinal line, the length of this protruding emdes forming correspondingly narrower or wider folds on the The back part of the coat is changeable. Various embodiments 4er inven tion are described, for example, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
To form the hose part, in the case of the FIGS. A and; B illustrated example embodiments of the skirt part and the "upper part sewn together so that a horizontal tube a is created at waist height. If, however, the upper part and skirt part consist of one fabric, the tube can be formed inside or outside at waist height a part made of the same or different material can be sewn on.
Inside the tube a runs a belt b, which at the end c is firmly sewn to one longitudinal edge of the jacket, with the other end d protruding a few centimeters from the tube a at the other longitudinal edge of the jacket. This belt b expediently fits into the tube a in such a way that it cannot be displaced too easily in the tube. The protruding end d of the belt is provided with several button holes e lying one behind the other, which fit to a button f (Fig. B) lying under the same longitudinal edge of the jacket.
When trying on the coat, the waist size can then be adjusted according to the body circumference of the wearer, in which the belt end d is further pulled out of the tube a for a slim person; Here, since the other end c of the belt is firmly sewn to the other longitudinal edge of the coat, the hose and there with the waist part of the coat is pulled together and gathered over the belt. The protruding end d of the belt is then placed under the corresponding longitudinal edge of the jacket and buttoned with one of the buttonholes e in the belt end to the button f located under the same longitudinal edge of the jacket. In the case of a corpulent person, the belt is correspondingly less pulled out and only a shorter cord is folded over and buttoned under the longitudinal edge of the coat.
In this embodiment, raincoats made of plastic films (for example polyvinyl chloride) are particularly thought of, in which one uses a not too narrow strip of the same material in a simple and cheaper way as a belt, which is simply cut out of a thicker film or from several layers may be composed of thinner films (for example waste strips). If these coats are made of transparent material, the belt is expediently worked on a colorless film so that it cannot be seen from the outside.
In particular, such plastic jackets are designed as follows: After making the jacket with the hose part, which the latter is simply generated by overlapping the top and skirt part by for example 5 a (Fig. C), the example is 0.30 mm thick, colorless film 43 mm wide cut belt pulled in and one end of which is firmly sewn to the buttonhole edge (Fig. A), with the tube also being sewn shut. When inserting the buttonholes of the coat, a buttonhole is sewn through the hose and belt, which, due to its great material thickness, counteracts the buttonhole from tearing.
At the other end, the belt, which can be about 4 cm longer than the tube, has previously been provided with several buttonholes one behind the other or it is glued and sewn at this end with a fabric strip in the longitudinal direction, with a slot about 12 cm long until the end of the belt was cut shortly. This slot is closed approximately every 12 mm of its length by a strong transverse seam, where buttonholes are formed by a large number of adjoining buttonholes. Of course, the belt can also be made entirely of fabric (possibly sprinkled).
When sewing the closing button on the outer wall of the tube, a button with the same thread is sewn inside the outer tube wall, as shown in Fig. C: in the inner tube wall, a buttonhole -,.
When adjusting the coat, the wearer pushes the coat back over the belt until the waist size is reduced to the appropriate size. arranges the folds in the desired way and then buttons the belt inside the eye part in the lower button, then the inner tube wall (Fig. C,?) and finally (read the tube end placed around the longitudinal edge of the jacket (Fig. C, 3), which can optionally be held in by a loop or cut off.
Fig. C shows schematically a perpendicular right section through the hose part and Gür tel near the left longitudinal edge of the shell, the successive buttoning of the button is shown by the superimposed pieces of fabric.
In the embodiment according to FIG. D, the right end of the belt is guided inwards out of the tube a little in front of the right longitudinal edge of the longitudinal edge of the shell with buttonhole strip and carries the button f '. The other belt end d protruding from the left longitudinal edge of the jacket is then buttoned over this button with one of the buttonholes e '. The belt is sewn to the hose at a distance from the right lateral edge of the jacket g ver.
The processing of the hose and the belt by sewing can also be replaced by processing by gluing or welding. Instead of button and buttonholes to attach the belt end standing in front of another type of attachment can be provided, for example eyelets and hooks or snaps.
