Device for controlling the pen of recording devices. In the case of recording devices with a pen, which can be moved back and forth over a continuously moving paper strip by means of a clockwork drive or the like, there is a need, especially if the device is used for time studies, to be able to intervene arbitrarily in the process of recording the pen nen.
The control device for the writing pen which forms the subject of the present invention serves this particular purpose. With the control device according to the invention it is possible to inhibit the movement of the pen at any time and to set it in motion again.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows the essential parts of the device and FIG. 2, and, 3 different positions of the control buttons for the switching elements of the pen. The pen 1 cooperates with a paper strip 2, which is continuously moved by a clockwork, not shown, in the direction of the arrow x. The pen 1 is carried by an arm 3 and a displaceably mounted rod 4 which engages with a pin 5 in the slot 6 of a lever 8 pivotable about the axis 7.
The lever 8 interacts via a roller 9 with an eccentric cam 10 which is firmly seated on an axle 11. Below the cam 10 sits loosely on the axis 11, a Bremstrom mel 12- with a spur gear 13 arranged underneath, which is in a handle with a wheel 14. This wheel 14 is rotated by a clockwork (not shown) in the direction of arrow y. The movements of the toothed wheels 14 and 13 and the brake drum 12 are not transferred to the axis 11 and the cam 1.0 in the position of the parts shown in FIG.
Below the wheel 13 slidably but not rotatably sits on the axle 11, a coupling member 15 which, against the action of a spring provided in the coupling member 1, is held in its lower uncoupling position in the position of the parts of the device shown in FIG. 1 becomes. For this purpose, the claw-like end 16 of a double lever 18 pivotable about an axis 17 engages over an annular shoulder 19 of the coupling member 15 and presses it into its lower end position.
If the end 16 of the lever 18 is raised, the coupling member is pushed upwards by means of the spring (not shown) arranged in it and pressed against the gear wheel 13. In this way, the wheel 1.3 rotating around i is coupled to the axle 11 and this is now transferred to the axle 11 and thus also to the cam 10. As a result, the pen is moved back and forth across the paper strip 2 in the direction of the arrow z, the return movement being brought about each time by a spring 20 acting on the lever 8 and tensioned during the forward movement.
With one end of the lever 18 acts a double lever 2 ?, 2.2 'pivotable about an axis 21, the arm 22' of which in the area of a cam 2.3. lies. The Noeken sits on a sleeve 24 which carries a double lever 25 at its other end. Through the i sleeve 24 an axis 26 extends, on the one hand a next to the lever 25 is arranged double lever, and on the other hand a cam 28 carries. The projection 29 of a disk 31 rotatable about a vertical axis i 30 interacts with this cam.
A spring 32 acting on the extension 29 keeps the extension and the cam 28 in contact with one another. If the axis 26 is rotated clockwise with respect to FIG. 1, and thus the cam 28, this results in a rotation of the disk 31 in the direction of the arrow u about the axis 30 under tension of the spring 32. The spring 312 is so strong that it always returns the parts 31, 28, 2'6, 2,7 to the rest position shown in FIG. 1 as soon as the lever 27 is released. The disk has two pin-like extensions 33.
at which the ends of a brake band 34 attack that loops the brake drum 12 around. During the aforementioned rotation of the disc 31 by means of the cam 28, the brake band otherwise loosely surrounding the drum 12 is stretched and pulled firmly against the drum so that it prevents further rotation of the axis 11 and thus the cam 10, which is the whole ausgebil det in such a way that the drive torque exerted by the clockwork, not shown, on the gear 13 is smaller than the braking torque exerted on the brake drum 12 by tensioning the brake band 34.
The pen can be held in this way in any position.
The above-described switching elements of the pen are operated by keys 35, 36 and 37 which are arranged in a row (FIGS. 1 and 3), which can of course also be replaced by other actuating elements such as levers or the like.
The button 35 engages with a pin-like end 35a in a lateral extension 38 of one arm of the double lever 25, while the likewise pin-like end 37a of the button 37 interacts with the opposite end of the double lever 27. The middle button 36 has a Z-shaped extension 36a at the lower end, which on the one hand can interact either with the double lever 7 or on the other hand with the double lever 25.
If the button 35 is depressed, the lever 25 is transferred to the position illustrated in FIG. If for some reason the lever 27 does not assume the rest position shown in FIG. 1, when the lever 25 is pivoted, its set 38 acts with an attachment 39 of the lever 27 and brings this lever into the rest position, so that the brake band 34 is relaxed.
The rotation of the sleeve 24 caused in this way causes the cam 23 and thus the lever 22, 22 'to move clockwise with respect to riig. 1 pivoted, which has the consequence that the coupling member 15 is disengaged by means of the lever 18 and the pen 1 is returned to its starting position by the spring 20, because this spring is so strong and the eccentric cam 10 is designed in such a way that when there is a displacement of the coupling member 15 in its disengaged position, the spring 20 can return the cam 10 and thus the pen 1 to its starting position.
When the button 36 is depressed, the double lever 2 5 is transferred into the position shown in FIG. H. the lever 22, 22 'is relieved of the pressure of the cam 23, so that the spring in the coupling member 15 the connection between the wheel 13 and the axle 11 is restored. The pen 1 therefore resumes its movements.
The button 3: 7 is used to set the Bremsvor device 12, 34 in effect. When the button 3.7 is depressed, the double lever 27 is pivoted clockwise with respect to FIG. 2 into the position shown in FIG. The cam 28 adjusts the disc 31 so that the brake band 34 is pulled tightly around the drum 12.
As a result, the white direct rotation of the axis 11 and thus the further movement of the pen 1 is bound, which is held in its respective assumed writing position. The spring 32 ensures that the disc 3.3 is swiveled back into its starting position, the braking device is made ineffective and the pen can continue its stopped movement as soon as the 3: 7 key is released again.
