Description

Process for the preparation of a concentrated aqueous solution of the dipotassium salt of ijodtyrosine. . The subject of the main patent is a process for producing a concentrated. aqueous solution of the mono- and disalt of diiodotyrosine, which is characterized in that more than one equivalent and less than two equivalents of a basic substance are allowed to act on diiodotyrosine in the presence of water.

Such solutions are more resistant to decomposition when heated than those which only contain the salt of the carboxyl group of diiodotyrosine and can therefore be easily sterilized.

It has now been found that the stability of such solutions can be increased if at least two equivalents of base are used to prepare them, so that a disalt of diiodotyrosine is optionally present in the solution in addition to an excess of base. The latter is particularly desirable for weakly basic compounds in order to maintain equilibrium.

The present patent now relates to a process for the preparation of a concentrated aqueous solution of the dipotassium salt of diiodotyrösin, which is characterized in that at least two equivalents of a basic potassium compound are allowed to act on diiodotyrosine in the presence of water.

The solution is to be used as a medicine for injections. Examples: 1. 0.2165g diiodotyrosine (1 / 200o mol) with 10 cm '
EMI0001.0032
Potash lye (2 X 112uoo mol) is poured over it, whereupon a colorless solution immediately forms, which is sterilized.

  2. 1.0 g of diiodotyrosine (11433 mol) is brought into solution by pouring 4.63 cm3 of n potassium hydroxide solution (2 X 11433 mol) over it and the solution is made up with water Total volume of diiodotyrosine, characterized by

that at least two equivalents of a basic potassium compound are allowed to act on diiodotyrosine in the presence of water. of 10 cm 'padded. The colorless 10% solution is sterilized.
