I- D/2 -I- h -f- d/2.

d = 0,22m, k = 0,55 m und Ir., = 0,50 m angenommen, so wird D/2 -;- lt + d,2 = 0,835 m und somit sie a =
EMI0002.0061
= 0,260 und a = ca. 15 .
Scavenging slot arrangement on a two-stroke internal combustion engine. The invention relates to the flushing slot arrangement in a two-stroke internal combustion engine with longitudinal flushing. It is known that in such engines the Ben from Kol ben controlled scavenging air z. B. be divided into two partial flows, one of which is introduced first and tangentially and the other after and radially into the cylinder. In the known designs, however, these partial flows are guided in such a way that the exhaust gases can evade the scavenging air, so that the cylinder is not completely scavenged and the scavenging air consumption is relatively high.
The arrangement of the flushing slots according to the invention allows these disadvantages to be lifted by the rays of the first and tangential partial flow entering the cylinder form such an angle with a normal plane to the cylinder axis that this partial flow is simultaneously with the later and radially entering Part of the current arrives at the outlet.
In the drawing, Ausführungsbei are games of the subject invention darba, e- shows, namely: Fig. 1 shows a two-stroke engine cylinder with scavenging according to the invention, Fig. 2 is a known arrangement of the scavenging slots, Fig. 3 the processing of a skewed ge directed tangential partial jet, 4 shows an arrangement of the flushing slots on a larger scale.
1 shows the cylinder 1 of a two-stroke internal combustion engine with exhaust valves 2 arranged in the cylinder head. In the cylinder wall at the exhaust stroke end of the piston 3 there is a row of radially directed scavenging slots 4 and a row of tangential and more directed against the combustion chamber; Rinsing slots 5 are provided.
According to the invention, the tangential slots 5 are respectively against the surface lines. Arranged inclined relative to a normal plane of the cylinder axis, that the radially entering partial flow 6 arrives at the outlet valve 2 at the same time as the tangential partial flow 7.
Fig. 2 shows an arrangement of the scavenging slots in a Doppelkol benmotor, in which the tangential slots 8 are not directed against the combustion chamber and thus the tangential partial flow 7 remains far behind the radial partial flow 6 and does not cause sufficient flushing.
In Fig. 3, the development of the mitt sized stream filament 9 is one on a cylinder with the diameter d. move the scavenging air jet of the tangential partial flow 7 shown and the angle a of the jet 9 with a normal plane of the Zylin derachse recognizable.
The angle α can be calculated as follows: It is assumed that the tangential scavenging air slots 5 open by a crank angle before the radial scavenging slots 4. At a nominal speed of the internal combustion engine of 7z rpm, this crank angle corresponds to a time of
EMI0002.0018
If the scavenging air speed on entry into the cylinder = c, the scavenging air jet 9 travels a path s @, = t in the time t . c back.
If the diameter of the cylinder is equal to = D, the distance between the center of the flushing slots 4 and the outlet valves 2 = h and the diameter on which the valves 2 are located = d, the flow is at the same speed c as the tangentia, le see moving partial flow 6 after opening the radial slots 4 a path = D / 2 -f- 1a + d / '2 . The tangential partial flow also covers the same path during this time.
Its total path after opening the tangential slots is therefore s = t. c -I- D / 2 -I- h -f- d / 2. If the tangential partial flow is to arrive at the valves 2 at the same time as the radial partial flow, the angle a must be selected so that the end point E of the distance s is higher than its starting point J by the distance h.
The angle a can then be determined from the equivalency
EMI0002.0043
With the example values ss = 10 and) a = 350 rpm results in t = 0.00477 sec; If at 2 ata purging air pressure the overpressure is 0.3 at compared to the gases in the cylinder, the velocity becomes c = 230 msec, which results in an amount of 1.1 in for the travel. Also becomes D = 0.35 m.
d = 0.22 m, k = 0.55 m and Ir., = 0.50 m, then D / 2 -; - lt + d, 2 = 0.835 m and thus they a =
EMI0002.0061
= 0.260 and a = approx. 15.
Since, with the arrangement of the tangential scavenging slots at this angle, both parts flow simultaneously at the exhaust valves, the combustion gases cannot avoid the scavenging air flows and are more completely removed from the cylinder than in the known arrangements. The tangential flow will lie close to the cylinder wall, while the radial flow fills the core. The arrangement of the flushing slots according to the invention can also be used in opposed piston engines according to FIG. 2, of course.
The tangential slots are advantageously arranged and the division selected so that the individual scavenging air jets adjoin one another. This avoids mutual interference of the flushing jets and the remaining of exhaust gases in dead spaces.
